I usually shop in their store! But during the Holidays I shop on line! I place a $577.44 order on the 14th of December, never received the Christmas gifts I was to give to my grandchildren! I put in a dispute and the denied it! I will never buy another thing from TJMax or Marshalls or Home Goods again! You would think ... Beento one TJ Maxx you have been to them all, right? Well I can tell you some are nicer than others. This store is clean and organized. They are continuously putting bew items out and they seem to gave a wider variety but I am sure they don't have cibtr of that (albeit they have control of what they put out on the floor). Customer service was great. I asked a question from one of the ladies who was putting our inventory. She was nice enough to see if they had what I was looking for instead of the typical answer I get at many others... "Everything is out". When I checked out they asked if I found everything I was looking for. I mentioned one item I could not find and while I was still unsuccessful she asked all the associates if they had seen or was aware of the product. Lastly they don't wait until the line wraps to the outside of checkout to request help. They were astute enough to request cashier's for assistance. I appreciate as I was in a hurry. read more

I always have a good experience at this location. Besides the one in Huntersville, this is one that I will frequent. That is saying a lot because the one in Huntersville is both a TJ Maxx and Home Goods. Anyway, I always find what I am looking for and more. I get all of my doggie items here. The pet section is generally well stocked and neat, which is so unlike many other locations. I have bought a lot of kitchen items (pots, towels, and other necessities). This location is typically well stocked and the employees are nice and willing to help. I am always greeted at some point in the store and check is quick, although the lines can look overwhelming. I will continue to frequent this location and make TJ Maxx a store of choice for my home. read more

I love walking into TJ Maxx stores. As soon as I walk in I always immediately fill my head with a long wish list of items for the next time I come in. This store was no different. Clothes, jewelry, shoes, I loved to browse it all. This time I was in for home goods, though. Unfortunately Gastonia doesn't have it's own Home Goods store, so TJ Maxx is our second choice as it's sister store. I found lots of cute things but unfortunately had to search through lots of shelves and ultimately give up some purchases because there were so many items without price tags. In the end, I was a little frustrated that I had to settle for different items, especially since it required so much more time to look through the racks. I love all our products, but having their job done makes shopping a whole lot more fun. read more

I recently moved to the Belmont area and am just now finding my way around to all of the hot shopping spots. I went into TJ Maxx to see if they had anything useful for an upcoming trip I was planning to take. This was my first time in the TJ Maxx at this location so I was not sure what to expect. The store is located in a outdoor shopping mall with many other stores around it so I am sure that they get great foot traffic. Parking spaces were right in front but where the store is situated, you will have to sometimes wait for a parking space or may have to circle around once or twice. I imagine that the patrons could try your patience during the holidays as people are generally more aggressive during that time. I found a spot, parked and went inside. It was midday and I thought the store might be busy and it was but to my surprise, management had the perfect level of staff working. I did not have anything specific in mind because I knew that I would be gone for a week and I wanted to get a variety of cute items to add flare to my attire while away. When you first enter the store on the left are the luggage, purses, jewelry, perfumes and hair products. I selected a suitcase and moved quickly to the ladies clothes section in the center of the store. There I found a really cute bathing suit but with my womanly curves I felt silly even picking it up, but it was so cute. The price was right, only $24.99 so I said "what the heck" get it, go home try it on and if it doesn't fit you can figure it out later. (After all a girl can never have too many bathing suits) When I got home, I tried on the bathing suit and to my shock and delight, it was so flattering. I LOVED it and am so grateful to TJ Maxx for stocking quality / cute clothing for people over the age of 30!! Kudos and job well done. For this reason and this reason alone I will continue to go back and give the clothing a try because bathing suits that are not high-end, usually don't fit well but this one really did. read more

Now let's get to what we shop for: clothes, shoes, hats, gloves.... did I say shoes? Great housewares. I had a dinner party last week and snatched placemats, napkins, glasses... did I say they have great shoes? Parking is right in front and center. Easy access. I needed to make some returns from 3 separate excursions. Returning with receipt, seamless. Without receipt, seamless (put on a guest card but they have shoes!) I have been to TJ MAXX across the country and ours is the nicest I have been to so far! read more

This place was PACKED and TRASHED. There was stuff all over the place. There was several rolling racks in the middle of the aisles. The kicker was the ladies restroom. I went and there is three stalls. One was out of order. The other was occupied and the third one, no toilet paper. I decided to leave and go back. I could not find anyone on the floor to tell. When I went back, no toilet paper. All the toilet seat cover boxes were empty as well. I purchased one item. I love me some TJ MAXX, but this store was a hot mess unfortunately. read more

If I don't have to stop at this Tj Maxx I don't. First off the parking lot is ALWAYS a nightmare. Every time I go into this store it is always packed and I mean shoulder-to-shoulder packed. The racks are so so close to one another which on top of how packed it is once again a nightmare. I have come into this location maybe twice and it was organized and clean. Lastly, every time I have to go into the bathroom it is ALWAYS nasty. Urine all over the floors and toilet seats, toilet paper strung everywhere, and water just standing on the counter with a roll of soggy paper towels sitting in it. I am not one to write reviews usually but this has been my experience one too many times. If other Tj Maxx stores were closer I would never go back to this one. read more

I stop in from time to time to check it out. I don't have much luck with the clothes. They don't carry much in my bohemian style I do shop the back of the store for furniture , housewares, candles, decor items, and gourmet food products. The bedding can be nice and worth a look. I found some great chairs and a nice leather ottoman. read more

Love the Maxx! Always great deals and I can almost always find something I need. The only negative is that the checkout line can be insane at peak times. Shop early on weekdays and you won't have problems. Great source for Christmas gifts too. read more

A big fan of this TJ Maxx location. I always find something that I need from there. Well, it's easy to mix up "need" vs "want" but you get the point. For instance, I went today, "oh just going to stop in" and $40 later I left with beautiful ceramic pots for my growing plant collection. $8 for beautiful, textured, plants WITH a saucer attached - Woah! You know how hard that is to find if you are into plants. I literally had to just buy what I could carry so I wouldn't have to get a cart because then it would have been a disaster for me, in which I would have spent a ton more money. Very nice furniture, beautiful industrial/wood style coffee tables, plant stands, seasonal items - right now they are putting out Easter stuff and it looks beautiful. I like the layout of the store. The cashiers are always friendly. Line moves quickly and efficiently. All around a great store/experience. I will always return to this TJ Maxx and you should too. read more

I went to tj maxx for the 1st time since they closed for the Covid crisis. I had several items that I bought in Feb. To return. All had tags & the receipts. I was told it had been too long to get a refund to my TJ Maxx credit card, which is how I paid. I have spent thousands of $$ here and been a Credit Card holder for over 10 years. I asked to speak with a manager and she repeated the no refund spiel. I received an email from TJ Maxx when the stores closed stating that all refunds would be adjusted accordingly to the amount of time since stores were closed. They refused to honor that. They gave me a gift card for the amount and when i was leaving the cashier was a smartass and said there is a sign over there with our return policy on it. I said does it have the covid return policy also? She looked confused. I left. I won't be shopping at this TJ Maxx any longer. There are plenty of other stores that would love my money. Also, the line to check out was ridiculous. I counted 22 people. read more

I came in looking for an accent chair for a sitting area. Mind you, this was like my 5th store that I looked in for a chair (I like to compare prices, judge not!). I see a chair that's the EXACT same as one I'd see the day before at Ross Dress for Less. It didn't have a tag on it so I asked a staff member what the price was. She flipped the chair over and told me the price and I almost keeled over. I knew there must have been a mistake. I showed her a picture in my phone of the same chair at Ross along with the price tag and told her there's no way the price on the bottom of the chair in front of me was correct. The chair was $129 at Ross and they were selling it at TJ Maxx for, get this $299. What in the entire world kind of fool do they take me for?! The staff member suggested that I save money and get the chair from Ross. Fine by me. I wasn't going to argue with that, but that only further proves my point that I don't like TJ Maxx at all because their prices are ridiculous and not comparable to other stores. Don't bother going here if you're looking for reasonable prices. read more

Love this location - not as big as some of the ones in Charlotte. This is a good thing because everything hasn't been picked over by the wolves. Every time I have something in mind, BAM there it is on a rack or shelf. Love to shop the clearance too. You can find a nice watch for cheap in the jewelry dept. Its a wonderful store I love the home stuff! And the greetings! But I have one thing that bugged me is that there is that one person who you can kinda tell is cracking a fake smile and fake kindness and was rude at the register. The person giving a compliment to the customer and the customer taking the compliment and then later as the customer walks off the staff member takes it back. Ive seen this happen more then once and with the same staff member don't know his or her name and wont go into details i just wanted to put that out there so something could be done about it but yes lovely store!!! read more
