I wasn't expecting to visit this store yesterday, but I decided to go search for a new wallet. The handbag Section was a little scarce so I didn't bother browsing. Found two suitable wallets to choose from and moved on to the beauty and cosmetics section. I knew that they must've just restocked because I found so many great products at awesome prices. Bought five really cute tops and a few other items from the home section. Although I went in for a wallet I couldn't pass up the really great deals I found.

When did the cashiers start following you around the store begging you to sign up for your credit card? I would rethink that tactic.

Had to buy a watch last minute about a month ago. The ladies there were not only helpful, but super patient as I am super indecisive!

I wanted to share my experience donating to House of Hope so others know what to expect…read more I called ahead because I had a large amount of sewing and embroidery items to donate. I was honest that everything was in decent condition--not perfect, but still usable. I was told I could bring everything in. When I arrived and opened my trunk, the gentleman helping immediately made a snide comment: "You know we're not a refuge place, we're a thrift store." That was surprising and honestly off-putting, especially since I had already explained everything over the phone. I asked for a manager, and they pointed out that one of my sewing bags had dust on it and said they couldn't accept it in that condition. I understand having standards, but this felt excessive for donated goods. I guess if you had a Birkin bag but it had a little dust on it or wasn't in perfect condition, they wouldn't take that either. It left me wondering--are you a resale shop or a retail store? If the expectation is that everything must be near-perfect, that should be clearly communicated upfront. Otherwise, it feels unreasonable for a donation-based operation. I mean House of Hope is getting this stuff for FREE. I respect that they have policies and that the organization is volunteer-run, but the overall interaction came across as dismissive and overly picky. If I had known the expectations were this strict, I would have saved myself the trip and sold the items myself or donated elsewhere. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to donate here.

There's a…read morenumber of reasons for that as I'm just not a big cookie guy (really selective in the kinds I do like), out of spite as I was a Boy Scout and we never sold anything that was super popular, or they're just simply overrated. The new for 2026 "Exploremores" have a promising description albeit bizarre name. They're described as "sandwich cookies with chocolate, marshmallow, and almond flavored creme". The chocolate cookies are just fine, but the creme in the center is what really shines. I don't know if Rocky Road would have been my first flavor guess. The actual flavor is close enough to Rocky Road that knowing the cookies are supposed to be that flavor, I can see it upon tasting. For me, the marshmallow really comes through, and I get just a hint of almond that is not that noticeable. In a nutshell, these taste like a chocolate marshmallow. Curiosity got the best of me, and I had to try one cookie frozen. It might be the brain freeze talking, but having this cookie chilled completed the Rocky Road picture. There are many superior cookie brands out there, but in the context of a Girl Scout Cookie, these are Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My Top Girl Scout Cookies 1. S'more 2. Although we did not know it at the time, the person who helped us broke two of the four screws that hold the back of the watch on. The person then handed us a small plastic bag containing the parts that used to be the watch. She said we would have to send the watch somewhere to be fixed. We then wrote a review of the incident on Yelp. A representative of Timothy Grant Jewelry called and asked us to bring back the bag of watch parts for repair. We came back with the bag and Timothy Grant Jewelry "repaired" the watch and asked us to take down the Yelp review, which we did. We paid for the new battery and left the establishment. This month the watch needed a new battery. We took the watch to a reputable jeweler. When he opened the watch to replace the battery, he told us that 2 of the 4 screws that hold the back to the watch are broken and the heads of the screws were glued in to present the appearance that the watch is whole. We then attempted to communicate with Timothy Grant Jewelry to resolve our issue. There has to date been no response from Timothy Grant Jewelry. We have had three negative experiences, first he broke the screws that held our watch together and handed us a bag of parts that used to be our watch, second he claimed he fixed the watch but fooled us with a fake repair by gluing the heads of screws to the watch, third he would to respond to us in any way to resolve the issue.
