You can always tell a 'good' HomeGoods the minute you walk in the door. This is a good one! I'm sure that's subjective, so I'll say IMO. I was greeted with the items I was looking for: planters! And they were purty! *visualized that cartoon scene where the woman's eyes turn to hearts and pop out of her head* There should have been a theme song playing as I walked in. I was enamored! There were lots of goodies in this one. I spent about 20 minutes deciding between planters (which is what I came looking for). And I'll most likely be back for more. I then went to look at the rest of the store and came across stools (which I'm also looking for) and spent another 20 minutes here feeling them out. I ended up purchasing the planter, protein bars (in Home Goods? Yes, in Home Goods), and a plush pillow (one of those kinds you put in the bed that has arms and makes it more comfy to chill). I'm thinking I'll be on the search for the other matching planter as there was only one in the color I wanted. But I'll be back here. I think the music they play lulls you so you stay longer. Ha!

No exaggeration. There were like 7 cashiers working on a Saturday, the lines were flying, and they had people at the front that actually spoke and were polite! The food, the produce, everything was immaculate. I looked at the Mrs and said, you know this is our new Walmart right? And abandoned my old faithful on George Krause blvd just like that. I'm not loyal.

I actually enjoyed shopping there. It was pretty crowded, so others must like shopping there as well. They have a deli and a bakery. Both departments were pretty small, but I was surprised to see them because I have not ventured outside of the store's main areas. They also have a pretty extensive frozen and refrigerated food section. All departments were pretty stocked. They appear to have two self-checkout areas, one for groceries and the other for general items. The self-checkout near the grocery department only allows 10 items or less. The signage is posted, but the people in front of me with a big screen television and a cart full of other items were not happy about moving to another line, after being removed from the line by the attendant. Overall, the staff members are not very friendly. I was looking for a specific item, so I asked the woman who was stocking the area, if she could tell me if they had the item. She responded, but she gave the impression that she did not want to be bothered.

He called and was able to have it set aside. Once we arrived, the guy in electronics was very friendly and we got we went for... ...until I came across the women's clothing section and wanted to try on a blouse I saw on a mannequin. The lady in the area was super friendly and said I shouldn't hesitate to try something on (apparently, others have said the fitting room was closed even though it doesn't until the store closes). I tried on a couple sizes, but they didn't have my size on the rack. She was very helpful and checked to see if it was in stock at the store. I mentioned that it would be funny if it was on the mannequin, which it was! She was so sweet to take off the one on the mannequin and I was able to buy my blouse. :)

They have more employees than customers and dozens of empty aisles I suppose in transition from the Christmas holiday close outs to the next holiday products yet to be fully put out (Valentines Day and St Patrick's Day). When I first got to the store the checkout lines were outrageous. I dreaded getting in line when it was time. In the few minutes it took me to shop, they got everything sorted out and must have opened some more checkout lanes. I only had one person in front of me. This was very noticeable how they handled checkout as long lines in other stores don't seem to phase the employees into making arrangements for their customers. This Target is a great spot but you may have to deal with an obnoxious panhandler or two in the lot.

Nearly 30 minutes later, it was finally ready. So 2.5 hours, not one hour. Lucky for me, I had the time to wait. So the tirr center staff was nice but the whole process took half a day with my travel there & back.
