I should be ashamed of myself. In fact, I'm ashamed of myself. The Wife & I were out and about, and stumbled on this Walmart in Pasadena, MD. We walked in, and fell in love, man. No exaggeration. There were like 7 cashiers working on a Saturday, the lines were flying, and they had people at the front that actually spoke and were polite! The food, the produce, everything was immaculate. I looked at the Mrs and said, you know this is our new Walmart right? And abandoned my old faithful on George Krause blvd just like that. I'm not loyal. read more

First time using the actual grocery section. I have purchased packaged food items within the aisles before, but never made use of the produce department and/or other grocery sections. I actually enjoyed shopping there. It was pretty crowded, so others must like shopping there as well. They have a deli and a bakery. Both departments were pretty small, but I was surprised to see them because I have not ventured outside of the store's main areas. They also have a pretty extensive frozen and refrigerated food section. All departments were pretty stocked. They appear to have two self-checkout areas, one for groceries and the other for general items. The self-checkout near the grocery department only allows 10 items or less. The signage is posted, but the people in front of me with a big screen television and a cart full of other items were not happy about moving to another line, after being removed from the line by the attendant. Overall, the staff members are not very friendly. I was looking for a specific item, so I asked the woman who was stocking the area, if she could tell me if they had the item. She responded, but she gave the impression that she did not want to be bothered. read more

Delivery - Switch - Eggs were upgraded and cost me more money. That is OK, but the expiration date on the eggs was only 5 days. I am a widow and certainly can not eat 12 eggs in 5 days. Makes one wonder if this is a usual practice in order to switch/change an item to a shorter shelf life which cost more. In fact, that is exactly what happened. When the delivery man arrived, I checked the egg's expiration date first thing, and that was exactly what happened. He suggested I call the store. Actually a nice shopping experience today. Prices are great and the selection was everything I needed. They have sizes of shoes I could not find anywhere else. The checkout was quick and friendly. Parking lot is massive. One downside is the exit from the facility. The Jumpers Hole traffic signal is lengthy and traffic backs up. read more

Waited over 20 minutes at customer service to ask for an employee to get the key for bicycles. I was then told to go to the bike isle and wait. 25 minutes later I returned to customer service as no one had come to the isle. I was greeted with laughter and snide comments by the pickup employees standing nearby while talking with customer service. I was then told the employee with the key had gone on break. I decided not to wait any longer and checked out at a register. I noticed a manager nearby and informed him of the scenario. He asked why there was a problem since I was no longer interested in buying the bicycle. And the cashier next to me also started laughing. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

Rating of this particular Walmart- 1 start (not good) Visited this particular Walmart because it was nearby. I was looking for party supply items such as party decor, table cloth, and so on. I've known from past experiences this location always seems to be messy and not well kept. I didn't let it bother me because they might be short staffed due to the pandemic. I was able to pick up a table cloth and a couple other small items. When I proceeded to the check out area, they had a couple employee operated registers open and then the self- check out. I only had a few items with me but I happened to come to a register with a lady who had her light on but no one in line. I asked her if she was open before putting my items on the belt. She rudely said "my light is on". DANG! That was so rude. I said an explicit word in my mind and carried on without saying anything. Poor customer service to say the least. I would say that I wouldn't go back to that Walmart ever again, but I kinda already don't ever shop there anyway. If I have to go to a Walmart, I will go to the Quarterfield location if has at least more personable personalities. read more

I purchased a SGIN 15' Laptop computer from Walmart on August 3, 2023. I spent $275.59 plus 59.00 for protection plan insurance, the seller was SGIN OFFICIAL STORE. At the time I assumed that I was purchasing from Walmart. It had a 90 day return which again I thought it was Walmart return policy. I turned the computer on and it disconnected from the Wi-Fi. It would not stay connected to wifi my phone, tv, tablet, and another laptop do NOT turn off it is this laptop I thought it was my wi-fi, I hired an IT man to come see what the problem was. He said he did not know why every 20-30 min the computer would shut down it would not keep online. It constantly disconnects from the internet for no reason, all my other devices on that network are fine but it disconnects from the wifi. He said it has to be the computer. I took it back to walmart to return it for a refund. The manager told me I could not it was a third party. I had no idea what a third party was, they explained that SGIN OFFICAL STORE sold it to me?? It was called Walmart Marketplace. I said then why do you have your name on it if you do not stand by what the third party sells. She suggested that I start a return online. I started my return on Walmart contacted the seller through Walmart. The receipt states that Marketplace sellers have different return policy. China said I went over 30 days but I said Walmart policy is 90 days. I had to text CHINA again, they got right back with me (SO SORRY) they told me to go back to Walmart. I went up and talked to three managers, all of them tried to get a refund because the employees agreed with me. They told me to go through my protection plan insurance that I had purchased for 59.00. I put a claim in but the employee said that was the only computer that was NOT COVERED. Why would Walmart sell me insurance that did not cover my item?? This is not my job to check to see if the computer was covered under their umbrella. Walmart just took my money no flag went up and said (we do not cover this item under the insurance). This laptop is crap and won't hold a charge, tried getting a refund and it's apparently sold by a 3rd party even though it's on Walmart website and fulfilled by Walmart out of #334.59. read more

Walmart is not great in retrospect when it comes to what I normally buy. But it is cheaper to get my frozen food and a big jug of almond milk here for a better price. The lines at this Walmart are easily laughable. They are slow so people hover to self check out, which has its own technical problems. But it also has the issues of the cashiers being relatively slow even in the "13 items or less" check out which I would expect more attentiveness given the limit item count, but I think there could be a better speed and efficiency along with opening more registers. You have all this space I would imagine openin. more than four registers during the day time isn't really smart. But, I love how this location has the Supermarket aspect of Walmart as this makes it's very convenient for families who need to buy a bunch of stuff but supermarkets don't always have everything they need to at least in a relative price. All in all, this location, while flawed is one of the better locations in Anne Arundel County. read more

Doing a Walmart grocery pickup for Door Dash, and the parking lot is packed. They only had one guy bring out orders for the first 15 minutes I was parked here. they have now added another two people, but I have been here for 35minutes. And they have brought groceries out for two cars that arrived after me. This is really terrible... I do t know how long I'll be here! read more

Walmart Supercenter - Parking area - Grocery Near Me - Pasadena, Maryland

This Walmart is considered a Super Walmart but they are always poorly stocked. They are always out of everything in the Health and Beauty sections as well as Home and Kitchen sections. The sections are also disorganized. The lines are always backed up and there never seems to be enough employees working to assist in the floor or at the registers. The produce section has improved overtime and the prices aren't bad. But the rest of the grocery section is lacking and disorganized. Also, they have Verizon representatives always walking around or at the front of the store approaching customers. They ask if you have Verizon and if so, are you happy. If you say no, they don't question why. I do, and am having issues and when I try to tell them, they walk away. I would prefer that I not be approached by a sales representative while I'm shopping, especially if they aren't going to assist with the services they are providing. read more

Not sure who's bright idea it is to have aisles and aisles of inventory and boxes in the way for weekend shopping. Also- went through the cashier aisle as opposed to the self checkout I usually do. Told the guy I had water and pop. He came around to the cart andd scanned both. Went to leave where a rude girl was checking receipts. Scanned my water and accused me of trying to steal that. I told her the guys scanned them. She hands me the receipt which is over 40 items in total and asks if I can find the water. Told her to forget it it's less than five dollars. Then she tells me to go back and get in the realllly long line. Because your cashier messed up? No thanks. On another note, grabbed a subway sandwich while I was there. Do Not Do It. This was THEE ABSOLUTE WORSE online shopping experience EVER! My biggest problem was the amount of time I had to wait from the time I arrived until my car was loaded, one hour and forty one minutes. That is absurd and I had my newborn and autistic eight year old with me. There was no option to put #12 on the site where my car was parked. It only went to nine. The number on the sign to call about the order went straight to voicemail and the number for inside the store kept ringing. I had to flag down a lady loading someone else's cart to help. Even after doing that I had to wait an additional twenty minutes. She did apologize but, it was too late. I will never use this service at that location again. I placed an order on a Thursday morning to pickup Friday between the hours of 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. As I was leaving work at 3:00 pm I get a text saying my order is still being processed and not ready for pickup. I don't get another text until 7:36 pm that night that my Oder was ready for pickup. What is the purpose of being able to place a an order on line for the next day and then not able to pickup until 3 1/2 hours after window time I picked. It's not like a I had a sh-- load of items, I only ordered seven items. Waste of my time planning to pick up while in the area doing other things. This is my closest walmart so I used to come here often. I now find myself only going once in a while when I have a gift card. Typically, everything I ever need is in stock and at a great price. When it comes to customer service this Walmart employs some of the most incompetent people. I have had horrific check out experiences that totally were unfixable by the casheir and manager alike. One time I used a gift card and wanted to pay cash for the remaining balance. Somehow, the cashier got so screwed up they ended up giving me more money in change than I owed in the first place. After realizing the cashier had no idea what was going on, I called the manager over because I didn't just want to leave with a wad of money that wasn't mine. I explained the simple issue to the manager who also could not comprehend to the point where they told me just to go and never fixed their problem. That is their loss. This location has ridiculously long check out lines because they do not have nearly enough lines open, but that is an every walmart problem. read more

I've had multiple bad experiences here, I much rather go to The Walmart on Quarterfield Rd, they are always friendly and have what I need . The Pasadena Walmart is always blown out , shelves are a mess, I had an issue in the store and needed to speak to the store manager "Joe" , he is an absolute joke, he was no help to me at all, and his overall approach was not friendly. Curbside pickup is just not working at this store. 1) the designated parking spots are all being taken by in store shopping customers 2) orders are frequently delayed or cancelled due to lack of staff or something. 3) wait time to pickup is outrageous. Clearly you do not have this department staffed correctly and the poor staff working in this department are catching hell from customers for something that is totally beyond their control. If you cannot do this job 100% - then stop doing it altogether or cut back drastically on the number of order you fill so you can meet demand. I placed a grocery delivery order to be delivered between 9&10 pm last night. No show. At 1015, called each department at the store for 30 mins straight. Not one person answered. At 1045 I called the contact help number and spoke with an agent trying to find out where my groceries were. No driver assigned was the answer. I was put on priority delivery for today. I requested 6 pm as I was out all day. No information sent from store about order. I again, called the contact help number and this agent stated she spoke with manager of store and manager would call me and also said a driver was assigned and would be at my home with my order in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, still no delivery. I again, for the 3rd time called the help line and they filed a complaint and told me no drivers available. Wtf? I canceled my order and asked for a refund of the $98 annual fee for the WM+ membership. I again asked for a manager to contact me. Not one manager has yet to call. One other thing they said was a shortage of drivers. Yeah, I call bs. With 24 hours to assign a driver plus other delivery orders there was not a soul to bring my order? Walmart Pasadena I "thought" would be better, but it's not. Bad management, bad service. Buyer beware for deliveries. read more

I shopped at this Walmart on Saturday, May 14, and began my checkout around 9:20pm then walked out on or about 10:00pm. For some reason self-check out section was closed and only had two registers open while long lines forming. I first complained to staff walking by a couple of times then when I finally made the complain to the Manager, Bertha, she told me while clearly conveying her irritation that they're doing the best they can and if I have any issues then I should let the corporate know. I became really upset with her response after spending more than half an hour at a Walmart checkout on a Saturday evening, then she informed me this tall guy with glasses who was standing there when she provided the response, and also walking around the whole time since I got to the register, is her manager and I should talk to him if I have a problem with her. Before then, I even told this guy that I just received a text from Wife while in line stating that my Son's stomach became really upset so I need to take him to a Emergency Care Center. Obviously I became more upset but this tall guy simply pointed at the exit while repeating "Exist is that way!" I just became very disgusted and walked away. It's not me who spent so much time waiting on a Saturday evening - there were also so many people in the line and I am sure it happens everyday. I am 100% positive the situation affects sales, negatively. If a manager and manager's manager at this Walmart cannot do anything and simply refers dissatisfied customers to the corporate office - this Walmart location WILL NOT get better and NOT cannot get better. read more

12/27/18, about 6:15am -- Employees (at dinky Walmart near my house) have jokes this morning. I believe they put a fake rat in middle of floor just outside exit from self-service area. At 8 PM tonight, September 14th, 2018, my 3 year old daughter and I were approached by a very suspicious white male (he was following me in the parking lot after getting my daughter out of her carseat). This occurred at Pasadena Supercenter #5382 8107 Governor Ritchie Highway, MD 21122 I walked really fast toward the store and felt extremely unsafe as he kept asking me to join him for the night. As I was shopping for my daughter's ballet shoes, I kept her hand in mine and still felt very uncomfortable in the store. I was paranoid. I have anxiety disorder and I started feeling very sick to my stomach as I am also pregnant. My husband was unfortunately home sick and I called him from the store to make sure he knew what had occurred. He immediately told me to have someone walk me to my car after checking out and to call him back when I was in the car. I approached an employee from behind, first thinking he was a woman and said "Mam?" When he turn around he didn't even get upset, as I was embarrassed. ..instead, he asked if I was alright. I asked if there were any security guards to guide me back in the parking lot. I explained the situation. He was extremely concerned and very helpful and told me that he would find someone, but no one else was available so he had someone cover for him and gladly walked me and my daughter safely to my car. His name was Jonathan, a black male, and told me he wanted to make sure I got into my car until I locked the doors. I told him my car was just 20 feet away and he insisted on taking the time to make sure I got my daughter in safely. I was relieved. Walking with him made me feel so much safer and I thanked him many times for his kindness. I would really appreciate if someone could please recognize his outstanding customer service, him being a gentleman, as well as such a caring individual. I dont see a lot of people in retail making this type of genuine effort to assure a customer with their child is safe. This was a true act of kindness in a world where gender, sexual orientation, color, or someone with a mental health disorder as myself, goes judged or overlooked. Wow,wow,wow! I never have anything nice to say about any Wal-Mart, ever. The service is lousy on average, wait times are ridiculous, not tonight! I got in and out and during my visit I had not 1 but 3 employees voluntarily smile or ask if I was finding everything ok?!??! What?!??? In complete awe! THEN I went through the check out and was greeted by Bri, a breath of fresh air! Pleasant, polite, and just happy, her smile and personality would light up any room! It was so nice to see a face not painted with contempt for a change! Way to go Wal-Mart! Finally! This Walmart is fairly new...less than a year old. Nothing really special going on here and now different than any other Walmart. It's just newer and cleaner than others. It still has fairly low prices and for me, the location is really convenient. They have self checkout which could make the process a little quicker. Parking is difficult. The store is never stocked properly. Items are depleted for weeks and months even if you tell employees. Visit other Walmarts and they have plenty of stock. Not sure why this Walmart does not function well. It is tiny in size compared to most. Should be easy to maintain. read more
