My favorite place to get jeans and work slacks. They had discontinued the Editor pants but I'm glad they're back! Especially with more in person work I've been having to update my wardrobe! So many Express stores across the country have closed so I'm glad this one is still around. Even when I place online orders this location is where I come to pick up the orders! Definitely is pricey but with sales and coupons it's not terrible! read more

Express is one of my favorite places to shop. It's always giving corporate casual/classy. The quality of the clothes is great, the store is well organized, and the staff is always ready to help you shop and give recommendations. With quality comes with moderate to high prices. I usually budget for my retail therapy. I can spend some serious money in here. Everything is cute! I give Express 2 stars because I really like their clothes. The latest line that is out is absolutely fabulous and I'd like to see what else they come up with. I totally intend to keep shopping at this store, just online and at other locations. That said, the customer service in THIS particular store is deplorable! I went this past Saturday to exchange a blazer for a larger size. I'd called the day before to have the right size put on hold for me. I saw 2 associates at the register when I approached. One was attending to customers and another was just standing there. I asked the associate who was free if I could check out there. She told me I had to wait in line and gruffly instructed me where to stand for the line as it's just a super obscure sign that's easy to miss, plus no other customers were standing in it. So I stood there, as the other sales person was busy with actual customers and the other didn't call me up to the register but continued doing whatever it was she was doing. Finally another associate comes up to the register, logs in, and calls me up. She quickly retrieved my held jacket and went through the exchange process. Not the most friendly but efficient enough at her job. On my way out, I was caught by this lovely dress on a mannequin. I checked a nearby rack holding said dress but my size wasn't there. It WAS on the mannequin however and I wanted it enough to strip that mannequin. I went in search for an associate, caught eyes with one, raised my hand, and was saying "Excuse me" when the guy did a quick about face and disappeared around a corner! I couldn't believe it! Do you want my $$$ or naw? Luckily I was able to order the dress online but that store experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I know it's the holidays and all, but if you're not cut out to do retail, don't! read more

I love the style and fashion of express. I have been to the store many many times. As a long time resident of Columbia, I am sad to see the mall declining. The last time I was in the store I mentioned this to the manager and nothing changed. The store is filthy dirty. The floors are covered in months worth of dust. I came here with my boyfriend for a lighter summer suit jacket. He normally prefers Jos. A. Banks, but he wanted something that he could treat a little more casually, and he looks great in the slim cut peices at Express. The guy that helped us (tall with blonde hair) looked extremely handsome in a well put together, modernr, and colorful suit and was able to make some really great suggestions to Mr. B and we walked out with a great jacket that he loves and wears every day! I also snagged 2 nice work blouses, since there was a buy one get one 50% off sale, and I also had a 25% off coupon, so it was more like buy one get one FREE! They're very cute. read more

The customer service in this store sucks!!! You don't have a customer waiting in line to be checked out with no one else in the store waiting for the another cashier who is helping another customer to check them out! This Express location is not as big in space, but has a lot of merchandise. It gets a lot of traffic. The staff can be overwhelmed and busy at times, but ask for help and they will be happy to help. It's good to try to be patient though and understand you may have to wait a minute in line to get to a cashier. There are always excellent sales going on, clearance sales have the best deal, but there are many promotions of other items as well and coupons in the mail, email or online. The best is to sign up for Express Next rewards which is free to sign up. Get points for your purchases and when you rack up enough you will get a reward. The rewards do not have the same restrictions as coupons and are basically like free money to use for whatever you want! read more

I tried to return a dress I bought with cash at the Express store in Annapolis. I had dress and original receipt. The clerk told me I had already returned the dress. How could that be and I had the dress and receipt? She advised me to go to the store in Columbia where I made the purchase. I called the Columbia store which is an hour away, spoke with manager and told her I was on my way. When I arrived the clerk said I got there after five and their customer service department closes at five. She then suggested that I return another day. What business does this? No one was budging!!!! I have NEVER experienced anything like this in my life and will NEVER shop at Express again. read more

Every time I've come to this express location, I am treated very well! This location has more merchandise than the location in Westfield Montgomery and the employees are wonderful as well. I came here a few weeks ago and I was greeted by multiple employees. Once they saw my hands getting full, they gladly started a fitting room for me and continuously came up to me grabbing what I picked out and put it in my room. Once I was in there, they checked if I needed different sizes and were very good with asking how everything was working. The store was very rushed but I did not once feel like I was and they even let me keep my dressing room to continue to look around for other items! A++ service! read more

The worse customer service I have ever experienced. At 3:45 pm There was one customer ahead of me being rung out while another sales associate(name olly) walks up to the cash wrap and proceeds to ring out the 2gentleman that came after I did(on lunch break and been waiting for 5mins and no one asked if I was doing okay even shopping in the store). I said excuse me I have been waiting first and next in line to be rung out. Julisa proceeds to tell me the gentleman had products on hold so he's next in line. The 2gentleman were not even ready, running back and forth grabbing product to add to his sale while I had 1product in hand to be rung out. Continue to waiting another 5-10 mins where I decided to asked what are the 2cashiers names and Julisa decides to roll her eyes. In my years of working retail as a manager, the next customer waiting in line is to be rung out. Not a customer that has stuff on hold and continues to still shop while checking out.I put the shoes back and walked out the store angry by the lack of customer service and approach to the entire situation. I will never shop at this location again and will be spreading the word to family and friends about the poor customer service this location offers. read more

Okay I felted I needed to write this ASAP because I have never dealt with such fabulous employees. AND I NEED TO point them out because they deserve a promotion or reward or something. I came in this past week and bought one thing, but they treated me as a great customer! There was one African-American guy who manned the cashier: fantastic. He was polite and courteous and answered all my questions. There was one African-American woman who said bye to me, she seemed to be a manager or something, I am not sure. She was very polite in saying goodbye, excellence again! And lastly there was a light skinned girl who was re stocking the departments, she was really friendly and offered to help me find clothes I needed and gave me more selection. I wish I knew their names so I could be more specific! I wish Express hires more employees like this, I would keep shopping here even though I am getting older! read more
