Ollie's is clearly an overstock store and the inventory can fluctuate a bit but if you've got some free time, you'll net a good find! Tons of interesting food items (a great way to try out stuff you may be unsure of), a wide selection of books (including a LOT of "how-to" books - again, cheap!), clothing, furniture, cookware... You name it, they've probably got it. Of course, stick to the "you get what you pay for" mentality. For some items, that is truly the case, but in a lot of scenarios, you'll likely be very pleased at the bang for your buck! I've only been dissatisfied with a product on rare occasion. This particular store kind of matches the others I've been to. A bit overwhelming at first glance - there's a lot to sift through - but it looks like staff members do a great job of restocking items and keeping things organized. Kind of hard to give a more specific review since stock turns around quite a bit, but it's definitely worth it to check Ollie's out if you've got some free time and a few bucks to spare!

Thieves brandishing knives and threats with other weapons just to steal some toothpaste and febreeze. It was fucking ridiculous on a daily basis. I truly feel sorry for the ladies that have to work and close that store late at night. Loss Prevention knows how bad it is their words were " we know about the danger in the area it is our only store in Virginia that we need to hire armed security". They never did and customers and theives continue to walk all over the spineless gutless management. The store is so cluttered and junky I don't know how you would ever shop there. Their entire AC system is falling apart but they won't fix it because the store is in a low income area as opposed to their Virginia Beach location where if the AC was broken they would have it fixed right away for THAT clientele. Terrible experience all around.

The vibes inside is giving very much Marshall's TJ Max set up. There's everything from clothes, toys, housewares, furniture, beauty, toiletries and much much more. I scored a juicer for $29 and a very nice teapot that I've been eyeing on Amazon for 10.99. On Amazon the tea pot was $44. It's the exact same brand, look and everything! Mannnnn I can't wait to go back.

I also visit this shopping center it seems like once a week to visit other stores like: Farm Fresh, Dollar Store, TMobile, Wawa (directly across the street), the ABC store and several others. But I visited here about a week ago in search for bedroom curtains for my daughter's bedroom. One may not even think to come here, but if you do not want to pay a lot for curtains...this is the place to peek in and see what they have in store. Again I was on the quest to find bedroom curtains and what I noticed is that they only sell floor length curtain 84 inches in length. While I was look for 64 inches I decided to try the floor length and hoped they'd work. The pricing was definitely on point almost too good to pass up on. This store also sells other items for the home: kitchen items, appliances, table setting and more. Other sections include: Clothing for everyone, electronics, shoes and even uniforms for the little ones. I'd recommend you peek in here to see what they have to offer, especially if you haven't visited before. Lingerie at a decent price... pantyhose as well. A lot of great finds are in here. As I mentioned before, this store is located among several shops in the Victory Crossing area of the city. There is a parking lot, therefore parking is not an issue even though the lot is shared with at least 10 other stores. Have fun and enjoy life :)

It wasn't just a mall, it was a backdrop for so many memories. I still remember when it had Rainforest Café and Johnny Rockets, those were absolute staples of any visit. There was even a Sanrio store at one point, that had planko, which felt like a little slice of joy every time I walked in. It really was the mall of my time growing up. Some of my favorite memories include visiting Santa during the holidays, catching movies with friends and family, and just spending afternoons wandering around when going to the mall was a real treat, not just an errand. Not to mention using the photobooth before "selfies" were a thing. They even had a bounce house and play area which was so much fun as a child. It's definitely bittersweet seeing it close. While it's not quite what it once was, it still holds so many good memories for so many people. A solid four stars for everything it was at its peak and for the nostalgia it leaves behind. An end of an era, but one worth remembering.

They were happily riding the escalator, and I was taking a simple video of them on my phone. To my surprise, a security guard stopped me and told me that videotaping was not permitted. At first I didn't even realize she was speaking to me because she was mumbling from a distance. When I continued recording my children, she approached again and more firmly told me that no videotaping was allowed. What made the experience so frustrating is that the mall is literally days away from closing. The building was largely empty, my children were simply riding the escalator, and I was recording family memories--not conducting a commercial photo shoot or disrupting anyone. Meanwhile, there have been photographers and members of the media documenting the mall's final days. The whole interaction felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Instead of leaving with fond memories of one last visit to MacArthur Center, I left feeling scolded for recording my own children in an almost-empty mall that will no longer exist in a matter of days. Consumer habits may have changed over the years, but experiences like this certainly don't encourage people to return. It was a disappointing way to end what should have been a nostalgic final visit.
