The TJ Maxx at this location has a clean and very well organized ambience. I was very impressed with their many high end luxury cosmetic and bath & body products. I purchased a colorful Korean illustrated bag for 99 cents, cosmetic brush set on clearance for $5, eyeshadow automatic pencils with attached brushes, a Korean blue lip liner ( multi use for cheeks & eyeshadow too) & lip gloss, a dupe of the viral Kylie lip kit, and high end luxury brand cosmetics like KVD foundation balm. My purchase of the day there was Cuisinart glass with top food prep storage containers. The service was efficient and helpful. I saw jewelry I liked but they were not in my ideal ring size. I got a Stanley steel drink container dupe to put hot or cold beverage to take on the go for traveling etc. Definitely a go see again TJ Maxx and one of the best shopping places I went to in Wilmington, North Carolina. Stopped in here today after mailing something next door. First time here. Nice clean store. I dropped about 100 bucks on a bathing suit shorts, jeans and a cute shirt. Customer service was friendly. They had a decent selection of everything and I'd definitely come back. Plenty of parking too. read more

TJ max has great location across street from Sam's club right next to Best Buy more or less. Lots of selections and the clearance racks are always great in every department. We found lots of great deals from shoes to clothes and snacks but they have so much more.. kids, pets, housewares, furniture lingerie you name it they have it.. the staff is always on floor stocking and very good at helping find things. The ladies at checkout are very nice too at least that was our experience. I've heard people say different but I've never had any problems or attitude in this store.. in fact if an employee past me they said hi how are you.. I'd recommend it they are a great value and these days we need great deals!! read more

I had the pleasure of wonderful customer service from Ms. Pat at the S College Rd location in Wilmington NC. Rarely have I encountered such a pleasant, engaging employee. What happened to TJ Maxx? This used to be the cool place to shop. It was not good at all. Shoes were thrown everywhere, and it felt like Ross. I was really not impressed. Honestly, between the terrible parking lot here and the choices I don't think I would recommend coming to this location. Marshall's is a better choice in Wilmington. read more

I've been here a few times. It's not well kept, as things are all thrown around, but sometimes I find a good deal. I'm writing today to mention the nasty attitude of the young cashier, which I believe her name is Amya. I could only get a quick look at her badge. She was at check out #1 (this was at 11:36am). I paid my bill in cash. The change was $5.08. I told her that I had two pennies as she was gathering the change. She looked at me like she didn't understand, tossed the $5 and eight cents into my hands and said, "It's not much." I tried to give her the pennies but she closed the till and looked at me. I think she just couldn't do simple match when the cash register showed $0.8. I give you two cents, so you give me a dime back. When she said, "Have a nice day," it was with a sarcastic tone. Management needs to up their training on manners and math. read more

What's not to love about tj maxx? This one is a hidden gem! Low prices, great selection, and a huge line is always to be expected.

I'm a total TJ Maxx addict. I'm not a fan of their women's clothing department, but their men's section is always on point. I buy most of my husband's work shirts, ties, undershirts, boxers, and socks here - name brands at great prices. The baby and kid's sections are okay - not as good as the men's section, but definitely a step up from the women's. Now that we've discovered I have allergies, I always check TJ Maxx's beauty section for personal care products. I find they have a wonderful selection of green products I can use without breaking out in rashes. The best part is these products are much cheaper than anywhere else in town. But my rating isn't based on any of those things. It's solely for their home goods section - which is absolutely phenomenal. Almost everything in my home comes from TJ Maxx, because they carry quality goods that I can afford. If you're decorating your home, please go check them out! You'll fall in love! read more

Pros: The sales team is very nice and helpful. I have never had a bad experience in TJ Maxx is one of my favorite stores. I have found so many bargains in this store. Some of my favorite brands in cosmetics and perfume. I've purchased coffee mugs, things for my house, clothing, shoes. Recently, I purchased a pair of MK boots for my granddaughter paid $14.00 on the clearance rack. (No Marks or Stains) Some $8.00 boots that look like uggs bailey bow. Btw my granddaughter is 3yrs old so I won't be getting any complains. lol... Also, I purchased a pair of Tory Burch brown leather boots for me paid $30.00. They carry so many brands. I love TJ Maxx. Cons: The only downfall is a lot of "customers" make a big mess in the store. I don't really mind because of the great deals. Usually, I pick things up if I see them on the floor. That's right. I'm not ashamed. In fact, after some of my recent finds here (Hilfiger mid-calf boots for 25.99? Faux leather bomber jackets for under $30??) I'm yelping my love for T.J. to the world. As with any love, however, there are compromises. While the shoe, accessories and home goods departments rarely let me down, it's a little trickier to dig through the quasi-organized aisles of clothing. Still - plenty of fashion finds there as well, just be careful to check over garments for uneven seems, stains and other imperfections. If it's too good to be true, it probably is (like the pair of Nicole Miller printed tights I discovered for only $5.99 - ripped like a mofo the first time I put them on). Fortunately, T.J. Maxx knows its Achilles heel and makes up for it with a fairly liberal return policy (those tights went right back to the store, massive hole and all). Just be sure to always save your receipts. Just because a girl (or guy - Jeff buys most of his basics here) is down on her luck doesn't mean she can't indulge her inner style maven. This place is a mecca for recessionistas. read more

I was appalled by the condescension of the checkout clerk who helped me. She called me "dear" in a demeaning tone and I told her not to call me dear. I was 72 years old and didn't appreciate hearing that from some 20 some year old. All staff should avoid using such terms with customers. I am not their dear. I wasn't able to contact headquarters to make a complaint, so I am using this opportunity. read more

As with most TJ Maxx stores - we normally can find a few good buys - this time was no different - dog toys for our grandpuppy Autumn, a D & B purse for Barb - even a special treat or two for Deb and of course something special for Mary! I had the pleasure of stoping at your store Wednesday night at 9:27 pm. You closed at 9:30... I did not want to shop, but my friend was already in the store at the check out, so I wanted to go into the store to give her shoes she wanted to return. Upon arrival I was told by a disgustingly rude person named LIZ, who claims to be a manager, telling me they are closed... Rude Liz: we are closed. Me: your are open for another three minutes. Nasty Liz: ok, go shop for 3 minutes. Me: you are in customer service and treat your customers this way? Rude Liz: yes I asked her what her name was and she said it proud, Liz.. If this is a manager at your store, I would hate to see just a regular employee. We live tj maxx and marshals, but it's because employees like Liz that keep us out. I'm cool with paying 90.00 for a pillow at belk if the alternative is being mistreated by your employees. read more

As we all know its hit and miss at TJ Maxx but we were able to find some GREAT buys during our last visit. Friendly associates here that will help direct you to anything you have a question about. This location is fairly large and clean and a stand-alone location; like the Home Goods in the same complex. I always like to go to both just to make sure you see everything they have to offer. You really can find some great things here from time to time at a great price. read more

I get a great deal of my clothes here. This store fulfills my name-brand addiction without having to pay full price. They have a great range of brand name clothing at discounted prices (Tommy Hilfiger, GAP, American Eagle, Express, etc.). This location also has a jewelry section (they sell fossil watches!). I also love the selection of handbangs, again, name brand (Steve Madden, Fossil, LeSportSac, etc). I am here often. read more

I really like TJ Maxx, so this review only pertains to this one. This location is always unorganized and isn't very clean. A lot of the merchandise isn't in the best condition. I went there on Sunday and walked in, and this man (I assume he was a manager) blocked my way and said very rudely "we're closed. We're CLOSED!" He could have said the same in a much more pleasant way. read more
