My best friend, who lives locally, told us about the place. We were hesitant leaving the comfort of 2nd street, but we followed her down Pine Street and stopped at the entrance to "Madam Knock's Pine Street Beauty Parlor." After giving the bouncer the weekly password (this can be found on their facebook /knock.hbg, twitter @knock_hbg, or instagram @knock_hbg), we went up a flight of stairs and entered the Beauty Parlor. The Beauty Parlor was set up perfectly, and after giving the password one more time, the bookshelf vanished to the side.... and TA DA! We entered the Speakeasy, a whole new world. The music was pumping, the drinks were flowing, people were dancing, the lights were low, and we were in for a good time. The entire bar/ club has a Prohibition-era style fashion with dark hardwood floors, lots of purple, and chandeliers. The bar was located all the way to the back, which is also where the exit is. There is a dance floor in the middle, and centered is a DJ. There are a few seating areas in addition to the VIP sections. I think there was a total of 3 VIP sections which ran about $250 + per a night. The drinks were fruity and presented well- I wish I could comment on the price, but I really can't recall. You can browse their drink menu on their website. Knock is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM until 2 AM. This is a Harrisburg MUST.

The bouncers are always the friendliest people there. Don't expect kindness from anyone after you walk down to the bar (unless you go to the bartender with the long curly hair- she is the best!) Other than her and maybe a few exceptions, every bartender will give you the cold shoulder, ignore you, or act overall incredibly rude as if you are inconveniencing them for ordering a drink. Also, ALWAYS ask to close your tab right away. Drink wise, they're honestly pretty good but can get pricey fast. The music is usually pretty good and on a busy night, it's good vibes. Hubby consigned on the tastiness of the chicken from past experience. Overall, it was a cool spot to hit for a drink because we weren't ready to go home. Chambersburg offers very little "night life".
