XL Live has quickly become one of my favorite venues in central PA for rock and metal shows. I've been there a bunch of times now, most recently for Highly Suspect and Dead Poet Society, and every time I leave thinking the same thing: this place just gets it. First of all, the ticket prices are INSANELY reasonable. We paid around $38 for a sold out Highly Suspect show, which feels almost fake in 2026 concert economy. You're seeing nationally touring bands from just a few feet away without needing to sell a kidney for nosebleed seats. The vibe is low key, relaxed, and focused on the music. No weird pretentious atmosphere. No bad sightlines. Pretty much everywhere you stand gives you a solid view of the stage, and the acoustics are genuinely good. It feels intimate. There are multiple bars, a small food menu, pool tables, seating areas, recliners, and one of my favorite parts the openair patio area outside. You can sit outside by the fireplaces, still hear the music, and watch the performance on TVs if you need a breather from the crowd. Such a smart setup. The venue itself feels clean and well maintained, and there's plenty of parking, which is another thing that shouldn't feel rare at a concert venue but somehow does. My only complaint from this last show was entry. Doors were listed at 7 and the line was wrapped around the building and through the parking lot by the time we got there around 7:15. It took until almost 8 PM to actually get inside, so security/check-in definitely moved slower than expected for a sold out show. That said? I'll absolutely keep going back. Cheap tickets, great sound, close to the stage, easy parking, and a true rock venue atmosphere without all the nonsense. XL Live is one of those places that reminds you concerts are supposed to feel FUN. read more

This was our first visit to XL Live and we were impressed with the venue as a whole. There is plenty of parking, which is nice.The employees were all friendly and professional, which is appreciated.  The interior is spacious and divided into 3 main areas and the second floor VIP section. The place was clean and had plenty of rest room facilities. The prices for drinks were reasonable for this type of venue and the selection of beers and liquors was above average.  The one complaint we had was the amount of distortion with the music that night. We've heard the band many times, but on this night both acts we had difficulty hearing the vocals as they were muffled/distorted. I'm not sure what the issue with the sound board was this evening, but in a premiere music venue, this should never be an issue.  We will definitely return to XL live in the future and hope the sound system was just a one off night. read more

Xl live is honestly one of my favorite venues in the city. We don't have many clubs that feel grand but xl live provides that for the city. The building itself is huge and has so many places to sit, talk, drink, there's an outside area, multiple bars, a pool table, food, clean restrooms, friendly staff... what more could you ask for? read more

My husband and I went out to dinner and met a couple who mentioned this place playing 80s music so we decided to stop by and we actually stayed for the entire Legwarmer show! I came to a show here Saturday night. I loved the space! The main venue was open to an outdoor area with fire pits and tables. The food and drink prices were exceptionally good! I got 2 draft beers, a cosmo, a hard Arizona tea and a cider for around $24!!! The food menu was pub grub, but was quickly prepared and tasty! They have large screens placed through all areas so you can still see & hear the show. They could use another restroom or two bc the lines get super long during events. Other than that, I have no complaints. The draft beer selection was great, the food was yummy, and it still felt spacious even with a large crowd. Free parking is also a wonderful bonus. I'll definitely be back for more shows here. read more

Great, small venue to see up and coming artists. I'm so thankful that I got the chance to see Teddy Swims live at XL Live. This venue holds about 1100 people and it was a very good sized crowd. Drinks were good and everything was run well inside and orderly. I'd definitely come back to this venue to see another show. Staff is friendly. Concert is fun and crowd not too big . There is an upstairs with a small space that I didn't notice earlier. I wasn't able to get here immediately. Enough parking but "barely". Show I went to probably close to selling out. Prices reasonable. Chicken sandwich I had was eh and sound quality wasn't the best. Smaller bands were willing to meet at their merch tables after their set but the bigger bands here I don't know about and it really depends on the band too and how they feel. read more

I attended the LovelyTheBand and Beach Weather concert and it was nothing short of amazing. Great ambience and lots of space to house the audience. While I didn't get a chance to taste their food the drinks were good and there was a wide selection of cocktails. The auditorium seems to have some leak from the roof but that wasn't much of nuisance. Great spot in Harrisburg for concerts. read more

Hard to find anything to complain about in this new Harrisburg music venue. Parking is free, adjacent to the venue, well lit and attended. During last night's snowstorm, even got parked under 83 overpass, so my car was still snow free at 11. Check-in is fast and efficient, and mobile ticketing is accepted. The interior is sizable, divided into several discreet areas but all with a view of the stage. The main/center section has a large open area in front of the stage, with a few tables and a bar at the rear. Several craft beers on tap at reasonable prices. The center section also has a balcony on one side, part of which had couches and was roped off, probably available for a premium price; but a nice place to party for a small group special event. The left section had two pool tables, pinball and a snack grill, plus places to sit away from the crowd. Big screen TVs, giving a different perspective of the stage, are present in this and in the right section, which also has additional places to sit. Bathrooms were clean, as was just about everything. In fact, it felt a little sterile; but I'm used to live music in some pretty grungy bars. Acoustics and sound system were good, and light show was fine. I'm really happy to see this addition to the Harrisburg music scene. Waiting to see what acts pass through. read more

Awesome modern venue and a crown jewel of entertainment complexes in Harrisburg. It doesn't get any bigger or better than this place for miles around. The sound and lights are amazing and the local and national touring acts that come through are varied for different demographics and customer bases. Metal, country, hip hop, dance music, etc. every week there's something going on with low ticket prices or no boxer events. Free parking is a huge plus. Proximity to downtown makes an Uber ride inexpensive. Drink prices are fair and they do run specials. So what's not to like? Not much. Clean bathrooms, good service at the bars and a kitchen serving food are more positive attributes this club has and will hopefully sustain it long into the future. How lucky are the people of Harrisburg to have this venue! Yay!!! Rock on!!! read more

The DJ kept it interesting and there were plenty of places to watch the concert. I don't know about the food but the drinks were nice. Either way I would recommend XL Live. read more

We got to see Smoothe Like Clyde + Kurt Vile there. Planning to go back for Bone Thugs N Harmony. The layout of the club is as follows: Theres a nice sized dance floor which can accommodate aprx 1000+ people. The bar is in the back of this floor. There are a few small high tables to sit at. There's a upper tier reserved section for bottle service, aka boat loads of $$$. There's an outside deck, that's sealed off from the wind with clear plastic, and a patio / courtyard with a fireplace and outdoor seating. There's a small cafe / kitchen with seating for a few dozen. It's a standard bar food type menu do you won't starve. There's a few pool tables & restrooms nearby. XL Live has a coat check. Free parking in an adjacent lot. They check ID & at down for security, so be ready. You can skip Ticketmaster Fees by buying tickets at the customer service desk, which is open 11:30-1:30 weekdays, and until the event stays the day of. read more

Went to this venue for the first time to see Dark Star Orchestra. Very cool place with friendly staff. The outdoor area they have is really nice if you smoke, vape, or just need some fresh air. Parking here is also pretty easy. read more

We went to see a tribute band and my husband was attacked in the crowd. He was pulled to the ground and put into a choke hold. My husband's shirt was ripped and his arm was bruised. The attacker was then pulled away from the crowd. When we went to security they said they were too busy to look at the video and to try and find the person. The manager, Tyler, said he was not going to look into this situation until he had time after the event was ended or the next day. He was annoyed and not concerned with what happened and did not take the situation seriously and did not show any compassion at all. It was not what was expected and we did not feel safe in this situation. read more

I'm from DC as well and this place is a cool venue. It's nice and the people are friendly as well as the patrons who visit it. It's easy to get to and the sound system is loud. Just the way you want your music to be. I saw Reverend Horton Heat back there in December and I had an awesome time with my wife. OK so...it's hard for me to give anything a five star rating around here because...well, things often fall quite short of the mark around here. Someone will try to make a concept work and it turns generic or lame in a hot second. When I heard about ClubXL months ago, I thought "Well, I mean, a nightclub with live music is always good, but on Cameron Street and with live music venues already popping up everywhere and getting played out. This can't work. This DID work. My hopes were...what's the opposite of "dashed"? This is hands down one of the best concert venues in a many-mile radius. Plenty of space to stand, an amazing sound and light system, fast bartenders, and plenty of parking space. They bring a lot of rock bands which I like, and they always seem to pull in national acts. I also love how the crowd ends up being anyone from 21 to 71. Bottom line, this place is doing a great job of helping to make leaving the city to see a show unnecessary. read more

Drinks. Really. You charge $18 for a drink your so-called bartenders can't even pronounce. There was so much vodka in my drink I could barely drink it. Most people would disagree- but if you are running a responsible establishment, you would not allow your bartenders just "freely" pour what they felt was appropriate. I attended the Shaman's Harvest show on Friday night - my frst time at XL Live, and I loved the experience. The Standstills were a most excellent opener, and Shaman's Harvest was vintage, bad-ass country rock, but the thing that will have me coming back was the venue. Excellent, up-close viewing; a friendly staff; and reasonable prices enhanced the experience. I'll definitely be back for an upcoming, top shelf show. A new nightclub in Harrisburg area. No cover charge. Very interesting crowd, you have to be open-minded. They have a nice outside area for you to sit. Do I want to come back here again? Maybe one more time in the summer..... And hopefully, it will be better. read more

I attended The Struts' (Nick Perri and the Underground Thieves) concert for my first time at this venue. First, great parking right next to the venue (you need to go around the venue and it's under the highway. The venue did not look large from the outside but inside it was very large and spacious - high ceilings, multiple bars, seemed to be a good number of toilets, food, outdoor hang out area. The sound system was excellent and the ability to see the stage from many locations was right on. It was quite warm in the venue but the place stepped up and was generous in handing out bottled water to the crowd and I must say, a great crowd that was happily handing back the water to those that really needed it. Staff was extremely friendly. I love venues like this and the Stone Pony to see shows as they are intimate. My only wish is that I lived closer to see more shows. Great venue and staff. As much as I like coming here, I feel like I always run into some sort of issue. The first time I went there, I was thrown out, which wasn't even my fault. The second time somebody (not me) spilled water on the floor & the bartenders did nothing about it; also, I.lost 3 very valuable rings that were very sentimental to me because of people's negligence (they were thrown away). And, two guys tried to start a fight with several people around. I feel like the owners/security guards need to do their jobs & dismiss individuals who behave in such a way. To me, that's not acceptable esp. in a public place. (fighting) I called several times and basically received no answer. The last time I was there, I fell off of the chair because they insist on keeping them so high. Fortunately, I was OK & my friend was nice enough to get me a lower one. Apparently, the bartender (some girl-- probably a teenager) assumed I was drunk (WHICH I WASN'T!!!) and "flagged" me from having any more drinks! I was beyond frustrated! A beautiful modern night club in central PA with state of the art sound and lights! Club XL is only going to grow bigger I imagine with the roster of acts I see on the way to this venue. The club hosts a spacious standing room for shows and concerts. Beautiful bar with great beers on tap! Another outdoor bar awaits on the deck with numerous fire pits and tables for enjoying night life outside. The deck is separated from the club via two garage bay doors that are open in nice weather. If chill atmosphere and elegant setting is important to you, then this is the best Harrisburg has to offer. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. Prices are far more fair than to be expected at an upscale facility of this caliber. They also host a kitchen open until 2am for all night eats! I will be a regular at Club XL as it is obviously the place to be! read more
