First time back at TJs this year. Never disappoints! Food was delicious and the drinks were amazing! Service was very prompt. If you are ever in Manistee give this place a try! There will be a little wait during busier times as it has a small seating area. The wait is worth it!

I had some time to grab lunch before a job and saw the beautiful exterior of TJ's Pub. I decided to check it out. I was very pleased with my choice. My sandwich was perfect. The Barman was super attentive and pleasant. I'm looking forward to going back.

Super cute place with really good food! Everything we had was delicious--salad, baked meatballs and their southwest egg rolls Service was also good and prices were reasonable I'd definitely come back here!

We came into downtown Manistee for dinner one night and while there weren't too many restaurants to pick from, we could quickly and easily tell that most everyone was gathering at TJs. It's located at the base of a hotel (The Ramsdell Inn), sort of half above, half below ground level, which felt very cozy and quaint! Because of this location as well, you get both foot traffic and customers from the hotel guests coming down and seemingly everyone else passing through town too. While we were sitting in the lobby waiting for our table, there was a giant group of around 10 people who came in here on a bar crawl just to get a quick round of shots before moving on to their next destination, and I just really loved the energy of that and how it permeated throughout in here! I came in here with my service dog and was treated with a lot of accommodation without even asking, which I sincerely appreciated! (Spoiler alert: a lot of establishments throughout downtown Manistee were very unfriendly and unwelcoming about me having a service dog, which was shocking and disappointing.) TJs sat us at a nice table where I was able to tuck my service dog in a corner for him to relax by me/under the table and not be in a high foot traffic area and our waiter even brought a bowl of water out for him as well! The food here was decent, nothing spectacular, but we appreciated the warm meal on a cold, rainy day and it made my stomach happy! My friends and I got a baked cheese appetizer to start (cheesy bread with apple slices and hot honey) and then I got the baked meatballs as my main. Both were perfectly fine, but the ambiance (and the hilarious bathroom vibes) really rounded out this entire experience and had us really enjoying our time here - thanks TJs!

This is obviously a local favorite spot. It was very busy. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the staff are professional. There is nothing outstanding about this restaurant but the food was good. The prices were fair. I went with a larger group, and they are beer drinkers and seemed to really enjoy their drafts. I had the lemon shrimp appetizer and the Greek salad. The lemon shrimp was lacking in flavor and the bread was meh but the salad was as expected. I would return here for a quick good dinner/lunch, but I wouldn't have a date night here. It's extremely loud and crowded. My friends that I dined with were very satisfied with their meals as well. Our food came quickly and as requested.

We stopped by for lunch after watching a movie down the street. The food was good. The kids quesadilla was a nice size, it wasn't a mini one like you get most other places. The beer was cold and delicious. Our waitress was great! She made sure we got everything we needed and was very sweet. I loved the atmosphere inside as well, it was cute. They also have outside dining if you'd rather eat outside. We chose inside because I thought it was cute.

Great staff! They explained how the menu was set up and how items get rotated out. Everything was super good that we tried, the soda is also from a Michigan supplier which was a plus. Overall enjoyed the atmosphere and it wasn't a bad price!

TJs is a cute little pub in Manistee and on a short trip to hike this winter, we stayed right down the road. We got seated promptly during the rush of lunch (the moment we sat down, a mad dash of people showed up, so we probably got lucky with timing) and the staff were very friendly! The food was decent but nothing to get overly excited over since it was very typical pub food. My favorite part of this spot though honestly was the building itself. It was absolutely beautiful from the outside! Lots of cool architecture.

I don't normally give many 5 star reviews, but TJ's checked all the boxes. It has the great feel of a small town pub with friendly staff. We stopped in for dinner on a Monday and we were quickly seated. We ordered the crab ragoon (5 pieces), 1/2 order of Baked Meatballs in marinara, BBQ chicken salad, Chicken Alfredo, and a Club sandwich. Everything was great. They were spot on with their food and Kelsey did a good job keeping our drinks filled. The little loafs of bread as a side in the orders were excellent with butter. Alfredo sauce is homemade along with the potato chips on the side of the club. Many other things on the menu I would have ordered. Guess I'll have to try them next time. Nice job TJ's!

The fried pickles are in French fry form. Perfectly coated and crispy. The pretzels were buttery and soft. Would recommend both! Not anything special about the burger or chicken strips according to the others with whom I was dining. The nachos on the other hand were excellent! Fresh lettuce, tomato, and onions. Great tasting ground beef. The half size was more than enough for a normal appetite. It was our first time in the area. I'd definitely check out other spots if in the area again before committing to this one, but not disappointed with our visit.

Met up with a group of 5 to get drinks and food before checking into our Airbnb. The first thing we noticed was that there were no tables for groups larger than 4, so we grabbed a chair from another table and all crammed around a high top. There appeared to only be 1 waitress working and while she was friendly she was not attentive. Food took 50minutes to come out and drinks ran empty without refills. I had ordered 2 appetizers and skipped the mains. First up were the fried Pickle Chips that came with a ranch dip. The batter was flavorful, and the pickle fried to perfection. The second app I had gotten were the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks which came with a house made beer cheese. The pretzels were warm and doughy without being dry and the beer cheese was incredible. The rest of the table ordered wings and a burger, and everyone had great things to say about their food. The food was great but the wait time, lack of seating, and lack of staff really put a damper on the experience. This pub is currently sitting at a 5.3 on my Beli and it feels like a fair rating. Food is on point, customer service needs work.

On a Fish Fry Friday, I ordered the clam chowder and fish fry dinner with perch and sweet potatoes…read more The clam chowder was excellent. Generously prepared, great seasoning and with the right temperature. The fries are sprinkled with cinnamon which was a first for me. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy but not bad. Our server was excellent. She took very good care of us. On a quiet afternoon, we were sat by the bar, by a group that was very loud. We would have preferred a different table.

No drinks, no "we will be with you shortly" or anything. We just sat there. Finally a server came over and said they had a big group come in and it was causing some backup and the host should have told us; he didn't. The drinks and appetizer came quickly and the street corner appetizer was very good; I would order it again. Once the appetizer was finished we sat with empty glasses for a good while. Again, no communication. Once the food arrived, things got much better. Wraps were good, not great. My daughter's pizza was good. With all the restaurants in the area, they will need to up their game on service.
