    The outdoor architecture

I absolutely love the architecture of this restaurant. The entrance is awesome, and I love how the entire place is kind of underground. The waiting area is awesome I love how it is coaches. All of the workers were very nice. It was absolutely packed, people just kept coming in. There looked like there was an outdoor seating area that looked very nice but we were seated outside. The coke was a bar Coke so it gets mixed with alcohol and bear which is fine but just a heads up. I'm the type of guy that loves mocktails so I got a surely temple it was great nice and fizzy and cherry. We got the bacon Mac n Cheese it was creamy rich and the bacon was super crunchy and delicious. I got the French baguette it was delicious crunchy and flaky it was great and I really liked the balsamic vinegar in the vinaigrette dip sauce. My main dish was the chicken bacon and ranch cheese melt i definitely recommend it was great and the kettle chips were great. I feel like the tables could've been a bit more creative but after all they were just tables. I was headed to the bathroom and I thought it would be disgusting so my hopes were low but how they surprised me the stall was very nice and clean the urinal was also very clean the sink was very nice. It was nice and blue and accent wall was also blue. It really fit in very nicely. It caught me off guard on how nice it was. I really enjoyed this chill night out. Thanks!

First time back at TJs this year. Never disappoints! Food was delicious and the drinks were amazing! Service was very prompt. If you are ever in Manistee give this place a try! There will be a little wait during busier times as it has a small seating area. The wait is worth it!

I had some time to grab lunch before a job and saw the beautiful exterior of TJ's Pub. I decided to check it out. I was very pleased with my choice. My sandwich was perfect. The Barman was super attentive and pleasant. I'm looking forward to going back.

Super cute place with really good food! Everything we had was delicious--salad, baked meatballs and their southwest egg rolls Service was also good and prices were reasonable I'd definitely come back here!

We came into downtown Manistee for dinner one night and while there weren't too many restaurants to pick from, we could quickly and easily tell that most everyone was gathering at TJs. It's located at the base of a hotel (The Ramsdell Inn), sort of half above, half below ground level, which felt very cozy and quaint! Because of this location as well, you get both foot traffic and customers from the hotel guests coming down and seemingly everyone else passing through town too. While we were sitting in the lobby waiting for our table, there was a giant group of around 10 people who came in here on a bar crawl just to get a quick round of shots before moving on to their next destination, and I just really loved the energy of that and how it permeated throughout in here! I came in here with my service dog and was treated with a lot of accommodation without even asking, which I sincerely appreciated! (Spoiler alert: a lot of establishments throughout downtown Manistee were very unfriendly and unwelcoming about me having a service dog, which was shocking and disappointing.) TJs sat us at a nice table where I was able to tuck my service dog in a corner for him to relax by me/under the table and not be in a high foot traffic area and our waiter even brought a bowl of water out for him as well! The food here was decent, nothing spectacular, but we appreciated the warm meal on a cold, rainy day and it made my stomach happy! My friends and I got a baked cheese appetizer to start (cheesy bread with apple slices and hot honey) and then I got the baked meatballs as my main. Both were perfectly fine, but the ambiance (and the hilarious bathroom vibes) really rounded out this entire experience and had us really enjoying our time here - thanks TJs!

After an uneventful meal and an initial bill that included items we did not order - Focaccia bread, soup, and tea from the table next to us (not known to us), we were falsely accused of "swearing" at the server and sabatoging a sandwich that was sent back (a grilled cheese sandwich that was smothered in what looked like tartar sauce). I was the first to be assaulted when I approached him as we were leaving to try and let him know that the $4 unsweetened tea we did not order was still on the bill, that we paid the bill anyway and we were leaving. I didn't even get one word out when he started yelling at me, getting within 18 inches of my face, spitting and screaming, using the F bomb repeatedly. Then he ran through the outdoor seating area filled with guests, confronting and yelling at each one of our party of four, pointing his finger in our faces and poking at one of us. His behavior was so loud and out of control, everyone in the place could see and hear his tirade. As we were leaving the outdoor seating area, he was screaming "pay your bill and get the F- out of here and don't ever F-ing come back...I'm calling the police...you'll be hearing from my lawyer..." and then he followed us out into the parking lot and seemed to enlist a staff member to write down our license plate number. It has taken me days to gather my thoughts to write this. None of us had ever experienced or witnessed such a display of nonsensical ranting and raving and downright rage by a business owner. As senior citizens in our seventies, we still don't know where the idea of swearing at the server came from or why we were subjected to such wrath in a dining establishment. Aside from the terrible sandwich, the bill mishap and the maniacal owner, the music was fun, the chicken wings were boring, the fish was good and the smelt was smelt.

Met up with a group of 5 to get drinks and food before checking into our Airbnb. The first thing we noticed was that there were no tables for groups larger than 4, so we grabbed a chair from another table and all crammed around a high top. There appeared to only be 1 waitress working and while she was friendly she was not attentive. Food took 50minutes to come out and drinks ran empty without refills. I had ordered 2 appetizers and skipped the mains. First up were the fried Pickle Chips that came with a ranch dip. The batter was flavorful, and the pickle fried to perfection. The second app I had gotten were the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks which came with a house made beer cheese. The pretzels were warm and doughy without being dry and the beer cheese was incredible. The rest of the table ordered wings and a burger, and everyone had great things to say about their food. The food was great but the wait time, lack of seating, and lack of staff really put a damper on the experience. This pub is currently sitting at a 5.3 on my Beli and it feels like a fair rating. Food is on point, customer service needs work.
