This is one of the local bar hangouts. It is everything you expect in your average bar inside with pool, music machine on the wall, keno, pull tabs, etc. They always have a large variety of liquor and beer, dessert specials, and bar food available. What this place is known for however, is the appetizers! They have moose nuts (fried bread balls with butter and Parmesan cheese), pickle fries, loaded nachos, etc that are very good. Burgers are very good. Ground chuck. Half pound burgers and hand cut fries. The absolute reason to come here is for "moose nuts". These are small squares of fried pizza dough with cheese sprinkled on top. Served with marinara sauce and ranch dip. Eaten fresh, these will rock your world. It is also a bar. Friendly staff. We've become regulars here at Rosie's Place and eat here at least a couple times a week. The staff is great and it's fun to have a share a laugh or two with them. Dawn, Brook, Lacey and Stacey are all awesome! I've tried more of their menu and have a few things I really like. Their grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches are really good! If you're looking to eat a bit healthier, I really recommend those! If I'm feeling like spending a bit more, their sizzler steak is really good, especially if cooked a little more on the rarer side. Their pizza and moosenuts are some of the best in the area and definitely worth the drive just for them alone! Even their chili dogs are awesome! The place looks small from the outside and might not seem like much to look at, but it's cozy enough and there's a lot of room in there so even though there's a lot of cars out front, most likely you'll still find a place to sit. It's nothing fancy, but it's definitely homey feeling. And above all, Mike and Brenda are both awesome and really care about their customers. read more

It's one of those places the city folk might call a dive. If they walked in and walked out they'd be missing being around the presence of real people, real fun, and great food and service. Nice establishment. We've been going here for years (once a year). We enjoy their karaoke entertainment. They have a waitress there that will sing in between taking orders and from the perfect pitch of her voice, and I mean perfect, she should be doing concerts somewhere. I mean BIG VENUE quality. CELIACS: do not order the gluten free pizza. Crust is horrible. Worst I've ever had. And I've had many. I'll still go back tho... family tradition. I'll just find something different on the menu. Went on a Friday evening, took 1 hour to receive dinner. There was one 12 top and a couple 3 tops, busy but definitely not an hour plus wait busy. Waitress was totally awesome friendly and served us well. Moose nuts did not disappoint and the half pound burgers melted in your mouth. Fish fry today was sub-par, walleye dry & overcooked and we were served brownish tinged coleslaw which was sent back. Overall disappointing.

I've been coming to Rosies for decades, since the 70's. We always come to eat when we come home for vacation now that we've moved away. We got off on a bad start when the server took our drink orders, and then started to walk off before taking the last drink order and had to be called back. That continued with not getting refills unless we called out and waved her down. It also appeared she was the only one taking orders, and that she was new to the place, she didn't know the menu or sides. The 2 points are for the server, who was friendly, even though she was overwhelmed. We ordered moosenuts and tater tots for appetizers. Took quite a while to get them, there were 3 tables full in the entire place. The moosenuts were great. The tater tots were burned. The main meals were: rueben -possibly the worst rueben ever according to the rueben fan eating it Club sandwich - this was good, but it was served with fries instead of the chips ordered Bacon Mac and cheese with shrimp - boiled noodles with a tiny bit of very watery cheese sauce dribbled over it, with bacon bits and 4 boiled shrimp. Ordered fries for the potatoes, no fries given. Supposed to have a salad, no salad brought. Bacon cheeseburger with egg - way overcooked, burned on the outside. No egg, cold hard bun. Fries were burnt. I'm really disappointed. Rosies' has been a long standing tradition in my family, since I was growing up here. Now, well, we're never going back, that was possibly the worst meal we've ever had. At least the moosenuts were good. read more

Best burger in town in my opinion. The beef is fresh not frozen, they are prepared well, the toppings are fresh and it's a good price. The restaurant itself could use a little updating, especially the restroom but overall we love the food and the staff is always very friendly. Ok, it's not a great place and the decor is "early Beer sign" with lots of chrome and Formica tables. Sometimes music and DJ are so loud you can't stand it. Good pizza and Mexican food, not gourmet. Below Average beer selection and not any wines of any distinction. Gallo and maybe house wines. Probably best pizza in area, but none are great. I watched our waiter sneeze into his hands right before bringing us our food. He was a rude, unpersonable smartass. He also never brought me the beer I ordered. Visited for Wednesday night karaoke, with large group and kids. Large pizza and a pitcher of soda or beer for $16.00. If you go to have a good time, and hear some pretty good singers (not all of course!), then this is a good spot. Entertainment started early, which was nice for kids. Service is busy, but friendly.
