I got the deluxe spa treatment and it was one of the best services I've ever received. Nicole did a great job, I was so relaxed and felt pampered the entire time. I got my nails done Saturday and the gel on my hands started to peel off the corners last night. The quality of service was not good, the lady doing my pedicure was on her phone multiple times. The price of a manicure and pedicure was not worth what I paid for. The gel on all of my nails are coming off the corners and you can easily peel the gel off. I don't know if they used old polish or just poor quality but this is ridiculous for only having it 2 days. Not happy. read more

My grandmother and I wanted to get full sets of nails to spend time together. Now, this may seem normal for most people but my grandfather recently passed away and I wanted to take my grandmother out to do some girl time to get her mind off of things. Not only were they very busy (which we understood) but their check in process was horrid. I get my nails done often and I even went to school for cosmetology, I am not only vividly upset about how my nails turned out but my grandmothers nails. I got an acrylic full set, square with rounded edges (same with my grandmother) but I got gel polish. She paid $35 for her set, I had to pay $48 for mine. Seems steep for just gel polish being the difference. But that's not the bad part, my nails are all uneven, and it has only been since Saturday 4/23/22 and my polish is chipping off already!!!! I will never ever return here. I live in Nevada so I cannot go back to get them fixed. As a busy PHD-awarded man with upwards of 8 cars, 1 moped, and a couple girlfriends at any given time, I need to look my best, and a pedicure seemed like a reasonable accommodation for such needs as mine. I do not conform to societal standards regarding "sandals" and therefore I arrived in my finest loafers. Let it be known that they were accompanied by socks, which had been gifted to me by a woman colleague of mine, Denny. I asked her out on the basis of my love for the restaurant Denny's (for your own well-being, benefit, and otherwise improvement, please do yourselves the favor of a lifetime and visit the one in/by/next to Newcastle. They are Heaven-sent angels who will do you no wrong), but she later revealed this to be an act of scorn when she saw my naked feet prowling around the laboratory after hours with the rats out of the cages. They had taken to nibbling at my feet after I misstepped into an ajar bag of Cheez Nips (is this the title?). She directed me to TK Nails & Spa. Thinking TK stood for The Killers, as in the band who first broadened my musical horizons circa '08, I went, readily and eagerly. I was not disappointed when I walked in and heard Mr. Brightside playing off some woman's phone. Promptly and without fail, I meandered up to her with my business card in hand. "Hey, baby, did you know that kangaroo rats can go their whole lives without drinking? Dr. Marris Dare." That evening, I took her out for drinks at a local bar, broadening her musical horizons by singing a personalized cover of Orinoco Flow by Enya and changing out every three-syllable word for her name (her name being something to the effects of Faniah Opal, if my memory serves me better than a buttered roll on a cruise ship). This will likely be our only date, as I met a woman at the bar (named Kell?) who caught my eye when I noticed her birthmark on her neck that looked suspiciously similar to a french fry I consumed at Red Robin four weeks ago. This suave pickup-line/segue naturally led to me getting her number - "Hey, baby, that mark on your neck has me thinking of how gerbils differ from hamsters on account of their social behavior." What does any of this have to do with your fine nail salon, you wonder? I could say that I would not have had the success that I did without your wondrous service, but this would be a distruth given my success streak when it comes to dating women. In reality, and to make a long story short, I felt incapable of taking another step with unpedicured feet, so it is thanks to your wondrous service that I was able to have such a successful streak of luck. The lady, named Sam, which I determined by a thorough assessment of her placement of nail files and hair color, did an excellent job. I paid her in full and gave her these parting words of advice - "Sam, do yourself a favor and broaden your musical horizons by listening to Pharrell Williams." She attempted to object on accounts of being a devout listener to 50s doo-wop, or so I imagined she was about to say, but I was already out the door. For your viewing perusal pleasure, I have attached a general illustration of what my foot looks like now. The reason I gave 4 stars was because I had an appointment with my sister in law for a pedicure but we couldn't get it done because they were allowing walk ins get a pedicure before we could. T and his wife Nina really care that you have an awesome experience when you are having a service done at the salon. I love the staff! Everyone always greets me and they are extremely helpful with any questions you might have. Lily is my favorite person she does my pedicures. She is so sweet, kind, great manicurist and always makes me feel so comfortable. I highly recommend TK nails to everyone. Tried out this place for a new nail home in auburn. Anna I got one nail fixed, and a color change , she also retouched my shape. My price for that was 30, I was a little shocked so I just took in mind this was auburn and the work was very well done. My pointer finger broke and I came in for her to fix it she said they were thin from the place I went to before and that when I get a fill again to have her donut thicker. I felt that reasonable explanation, that was a 5 dollar charge as well. I'm going to go in a for a fill in a week or two so that she can do them a little thick. Overall K will keep going here jury is still out with a thicker set. Kayla I got the special pedicure for 36, first Kayla gave a great message and did wonderful on my toes. The job was nice and neat. The pedicure itself was nice scrubs and masks the usual, price is a little higher then Sacramento. I'll be comming back for sure worth the money! Second time with Kayla on pedicure she did awesome , issue came with color. 5- differ colors on each finger 5- different colors of regular polish on toes 35 -pedicure spa 45 - gel full set with gel color Should have been 90 she charged my husband 102 so he came back in and they gave him 12 dollars back Ans said the menu has changed and that they gave me a discount for 102. I would put 0 stars if possible. I went to TK Nails on June 7th 2021 to get a fill and get my sister a full set for her graduation. I have never been to this salon before except for this experience. The lady rushed through my fill and barely put acrylic on some nails and some were wonky and not filed correctly. My sisters nail beds look like they were sent through a cheese grater. When I showed them how poorly done my and my sisters nails were, they refused a refund and told me I would get a free fill. Fast forward to June 8th, today, the nail that barely had acrylic broke in half. I called to get a refund but I was argued with and told I was the problem, not my nails. This was a very disappointing experience. I have been here maybe 20 times over the past 3 years. I have had some pleasant Interactions with some of the girls that have helped me with manicures and pedicures. I don't actually like to wear nail polish except for special occasions. As it happens, I walked in with red polish on, that they had put on a few weeks ago for a big work event I had. Today I just wanted to give my fingernails and my pocketbook a break. I did get a pedicure with polish. I then started on a manicure and the woman tried to upgrade me to a dip treatment that she felt would look better on me. I initially said yes. She then tells me It will be $9 more. This conversation happened as she was removing the polish that this shop had put on me a few weeks ago. There was some confusion and she moved me a few chairs down to have someone else take Care of me so she could treat someone who had an appointment. As the new person sits down to help me I explain I have changed my mind I don't want dip or gel or any polish. Just please clean up the cuticles and file my nails. I explain I am on a budget and would rather get the dip that they were recommending, in a few weeks for my birthday. I then check out. They charged me for my pedicure and my manicure then charged me $39 for gel polish removal. I was shocked and extremely mad. I am disgusted with these people charging me to remove polish they had talked me into. I will never give this place my business again. read more
