Last weekend I needed more rentals on Saturday for a Saturday evening event! I called the emergency number at TLC at 6am (did not get much sleep wondering where I would find the extra needed items)! Immediately, Stan, the owner called me back with the most positive, can-do attitude I have ever experienced in my event planning years. He quickly had his ace manager, Jay Cooper, go into the office (which was closed) and fill the order. The items were perfect; delivered to a remote ranch; with a wonderful and efficient team. Anyone can fulfill an order with lots of lead time; but, to deliver this order so quickly with a wonderful attitude (on a 97 degree day), is sensational. HORRIBLE event rentals! There is a reason why they are so inexpensive. I wish I would've believed all of the yelp reviews I had read before. I ordered 30 natural wood chairs. Not only were they dirty from the previous event (didn't even take the time to clean them before delivering to my house), there were nails exposed in the seat cushions. These chairs were very weathered and had wood splitting on nearly every chair. I called to let them know how dissatisfied I was and they told me they would replace the chairs for a "better" quality chair, but i would have to pay $5 per chair. My event is today and what they don't realize is you can't get back to the client and be like "oh by the way, you need to shell out even more cash now." If I would have done it over again, I would have gone with the MORE EXPENSIVE company and not this one. DO NOT CALL AND USE THEM! read more

Although the reviews gave me cause to be leary, Britt Hammond did not lead me astray! Everything was delivered on time and set up correctly, per our direction. Fundraising can be a challenge but Britt went out of his way to ensure our success. His professionalism and attention to customer service was a great relief. Truly a person who cares about what he is doing and the relationships he builds with his clients. They were a bit less expensive than other event rentals in Dallas, which was also a blessing since we all know that every penny counts when you are trying to raise money for a good cause. Marcus, who delivered my stuff, was proactive in making sure I got everything I needed .. Also, their prices were lower than any place I could find.. I had heard recently that TLC Events had revamped their service Department and inventory. I like other reviews on here had had some not so great experiences in the past. I decided since their pricing was reasonable and I really like Stan the owner, I would give it another try. WOW I was truly impressed! I am an event planner and I have very high expectations... They have completely turned their service dept and attitude around, and I cannot find fault with any of their products, all have been top notch, from table rentals to chairs to linen, ect. I walked into the storefront to inquire about a product and before discussing particulars I get asked by the manager "Do I know how these things work cause they can get really expensive? When I assured her that i was well aware of tent pricing, she then says, "The small tents can start at $400." as if i didn't understand. That was it for me. She assumed that as an African American I wouldn't be able to afford the tent.I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

I would avoid this company at all costs, they are unprofessional and do not follow through on their obligations. We hired this company to provide ceremony chairs, chair covers, and a PA system for our wedding. They had agreed to deliver everything at 4:30p the day of the event. However, they did not show up on time, or anywhere close to being on time. I had to call the emergency number at 4:50p to see where they were, and was told "They were running behind so we'd gotten pushed back". Which was news to me, since nobody bothered to call and confirm. As a result, our guest had all arrived before they had a place to sit, including our elderly guests, and our ceremony started 30 minutes late. Also, because they PA system arrived late as well, we did not have time to do any kind of sound check and once the ceremony stared we realized quickly that the delivery guys had set it up incorrectly. After the ceremony we had a very difficult and tedious time figuring out how to fix it. Finally, as the ceremony was going on, the deliver guys attempted to exit down the isle rather than go out the back door! WHAT! Who would do such a thing.. Long story short... This company is not any cheaper than the competition, and they are far far less trustworthy. As of now I have sent an email over to see how they intend to make this right, but I have not heard back. Aside from TLC rentals our night went perfectly, but it's just sad that they put such a damper on our special day. **UPDATE** TLC Rentals did refund a small portion of our costs, but not near enough to make it work even considering to do business with them again. read more

Their pricing was great compared to others in the area and even price matched on a couple things that I did find a bit less expensive.
