The level of care provided did not meet our expectations. The caregivers often seemed inattentive and lacked the necessary professionalism and capacity to provide care for patients experiencing Alzheimer's /dementia. We experienced times where we had care scheduled and no caregiver showed up or showed up extremely late. Communication with the management was challenging, as our concerns were not addressed promptly or effectively. We encountered issues with scheduling and consistency, which added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Additionally, numerous requests were made to obtain invoices for services already paid. These requests were met with NOTHING. SO WE HAVE EXPERIENCED MAJOR BILLING DISCREPANCIES. The final day of care, the caregiver (owner) showed up for her scheduled shift, caused an altercation with my elderly parents, once again demanded payment, (still with no invoice in hand for the last eight weeks), and then threatened my 85 year-old parents. Until recently, I had taken advantage of the civil service health benefits until I became aware just how good this place is. Everyone in this facility is truly helpful. I changed my primary provider to the VA. I also took the age-related tests and procedures. Every time I've been here it's been superb. Their audio clinic is the best I've seen. Their eye clinic is second to none. And on another level, I volunteer at a nearby ski area with the adaptive ski program. Every year, the White River Junction VA, sends many of their Wounded Warrior patients to the ski area, absolutely with no charge to them.
