To see the interactions the staff has with the residents is very heart warming. They are very loving and attentive towards all the residents. They always have a kind word to say about my mother and will relay any funny antidotes they have concerning her. They are on top of her medical needs, aware of any changes she may exhibit, keeping me informed as to what is going on with her. I, as my mother's guardian, along with my mother have an excellent relationship with all the staff, from the receptionists at the front desk to the nurses, CNAs and social worker that take care of her. The bookkeeper that handles her account is also a peach! I can call her any time about any question and I will get an answer. She is very knowledgeable. These are just some of the people at Port who have made her stay there enjoyable. It is not an easy decision to have to place a loved one in a care facility but they have made this journey so much easier.

I appreciate that groceries are expensive, so if necessary Langdon should increase the fee to insure the food is acceptable. This has to change.

Now today I got a call from SS office saying Pleasant View wants to take over her social security and They were sneaking behind my back to get control of her SS check. Which I will not allow them to , if I have to go to court. Don't trust them . So I'm going to see if I can find a place to put her a better care unit. They didn't take her vital signs to see what her blood pressure were . Even when I was there they did take my vital signs and I have high blood pressure. I hope to find another place to put her closer to me.

Even the overnight staff is good. I always felt like my grandma was safe and in good hands. Even during times when my grandma wasn't well they called us and suggested what we should do. The location is very nice since it's near the water, the building is a bit outdated but their always working on improving it. It's not perfect, family members need to do their part and visit, give feedback to staff, and the food wasn't always perfect, but overall it was a life safer and I'm incredibly thankful and grateful.
