I LOVE this school! By far the best part of this school and entire experience has been my daughter's teacher, Ms. Ariana. My daughter started at age 2 after me exclusively staying home with her. Ms. Ariana was so kind, patient, loving, communicative with me and entirely supportive. She helped make my daughter's first impression of school and teachers so wonderful!! she was truly a blessing and made this experience so much easier and enjoyable for me and my daughter. She put my mind at ease and made me feel so comfortable and supported!! My daughter is now 3 1/2 years old and thriving. She's struggled so much with being sick all the time, having to be in and out of school, Covid, then me going back to work. Ms. Ariana helped us through so many transitions. When it came time to enroll my daughter in daycare/early start, we decided to go with TLC because of all the positive reviews we had found. Needless to say they were all right. My daughter loves going to school, learning new things, and playing with her friends. She began with Ms. Ariana and is now in Ms. Yvette's class. Both of her teachers have been great, helpful, informative, and attentive to my daughter. TLC staff is amazing, and my wife and I couldn't be more thankful to them. We have decided to keep my daughter here until she transitions to kindergarten, and have already enrolled my 1 year old son to begin as soon as he turns 2. So this review is so hard for me to write, because when I think about what a blessing the TLC Learning Center has been to me, it almost brings me to tears. I had so many fears about leaving my daughter at day care. I had no idea where I should take her so I started researching and found out about TLC. I toured the school and met with Miss Blanca. I liked her immediately and so did my daughter. I came to find out that my older sister had her granddaughter at TLC when she had custody of her. We got to talking about the school and she couldn't say enough wonderful things about them. I was sold. We we so blessed that my daughter could start right away. And it has been just wonderful. My daughter LOVES her school, her teacher, and her friends. I am NEVER worried about her while I'm at work. The hours are from 6:30 to 6:30 so I dont stress about being late to work or to pick her up. Let's talk about the staff: Miss Jackie cooks for the children every day. My daughter who is constantly trying to eat something, is well fed. And she eats things that Miss Jackie prepares and won't eat the same things at home! I guess I need cooking lessons from Miss Jackie. Miss Amy was my daughter's first teacher. She was so kind and patient with the children. She worked with my daughter to get her up to speed with her letters and numbers. One of my daughter's favorite dolls is named "Miss Amy". When my daughter hurt her finger, Miss Amy called me and let me know, then stayed until I arrived to explain exactly what happened Miss Nora and Miss Lina are her teachers now. She surprises me all the time with the things she is learning. They are super patient and do a great job with the discipline. (My daughter gets a little ahead of herself sometimes). All I can say is, these women were born to work with children. It's their gift. Miss Blanca is the director. She is tireless in her work with and for the children. Not only does she run the school smoothly, she is there for the parents as well. She has loads of experience working with children. I've had so many conversations where Miss Blanca has helped me and gave me good advice. And I have also had other personal situations involving my daughter where documentation and extensive correspondence was required and she helped with that as well, swiftly and professionally. Miss Kim does after school care. She is also a kind and sweet lady that my daughter adores. She's attentive and makes sure the children are well fed and occupied until the parents arrive. We moved to the area a little over a year ago. Not knowing anyone, we interviewed several local preschools looking for a place for my son who was 3 years old at that time. We finally settled on TLC learning center...and, I'm so, so happy that we did! I cannot say enough about why I love this place. TLC learning center has been a wonderful place to watch, teach and help my little boy grow. Everyone there, including the teachers, director (Ms. Blanca), and cook, is very friendly and helpful. My son enjoys going there and has the hugest smile on his face every time I pick him up. This is much due to his teacher, Ms. Titania, who is the most patient and loving person. My son has a lot of energy and always tests people, often breaking rules and pushing boundaries. Many people don't know how to handle him, but Ms. Titania allows him to express his individuality while teaching him to respect the rules. I love her gentle teaching method. We are so lucky she is his teacher. Besides the wonderful staff, TLC has a great balance of academics, play, and arts. My son brings home the most creative arts and crafts projects. He also brings home worksheets that he does daily practicing his letters, numbers, and site words. He is already up to about 30 site words!! What's more impressive is that they make learning fun. My son asks me almost every day to practice his site words!! I cannot end this review without mentioning Ms. Kim, who was actually my son's first teacher. She was wonderful and helped to potty train my son - a huge, huge help for us! And last but definitely not least, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TLC's amazing and diverse food menu, which was one of my major deciding factors when I chose the school. Unlike most other places, which has your typical menu of process foods, TLC has such a healthy menu. Included in their menu are things such as curry, Korean bbq, HOMEMADE chicken noodle soup, and HOMEMADE spaghetti. Every meal is well balanced with fruits and vegetables. I've had the privilege of eating their food a few times and I must say I'm extremely impressed! I am so happy that my son is not bombarded with the typical processed food when he goes to school. I cannot thank TLC, the director and the rest of the staff for taking such great care of my son. I sent my five year old twins here for four months and they loved it so much. They adored Ms. Tamiya, she is always so attentive to my girls and to all the other students as well. Today I called to get more information on their after school program, the woman who pick up the phone was very rude. She quickly told me that they were full and that was it when I asked if there was a waiting list she quickly said no. I find that very odd to not have a wait list. We have been attending the educational center for a couple of months, we paid six months in advance, because these were the conditions of the center. I want to say that despite the praise of the teaching staff, the child still has difficulty counting numbers, confused all the time, says that the teacher makes it very difficult, explains not understandable. We wanted to change the teacher, but we were told that the other groups are already filled and the center management refused to refund the money. Very disappointed. read more

It was really hard for me to feel okay with leaving my son at any preschool because he's extremely shy and really attached to me and I felt like that was going to be a big problem. Even though it took him a little while to get used to it he eventually made friends and since he's been here he's learned a lot and it amazes me. Ever since he started, he cried on the first day, the first time I dropped him off and never again after that. He has loved every teacher there and they love him. The director is a beautiful person, who deeply cares about her job and all of the children there, she really works hard for this school. My son has learned so much about so many different things, he now knows how to write his name and identify the alphabet and count. Please be weary of this childcare facility. They have been under investigation for child abuse and neglect for the past three months. During our own investigation we came to find out a few other incidents were never reported to licensing yet the director had said she'd do her part. Also found out they had other incidents on their record. They are very shady, we asked the director for a direct number to their headquarters only to call and be told it was regular admin and they said they didn't have that information. I have emailed multiple times incidents and NEVER once received a reply. I also emailed requesting a simple statement on the financial refund she verbally told me she would work hard to make sure someone communicates with me to get it fixed back in March, we are currently in May and NOTHING. Mrs. Blanca and her staff chose to retaliate and attack my family by filing their own report, what a HORRIBLE thing to do especially when we did our best to keep this professional and we communicated every detail to her in person. We also found out she doesn't truly communicate with parents when an issue rises. Parents have been unaware of issues and then when questioned she clearly commented she didn't know how to tell. She is an example of a very weak leader for this facility, which is such a shame bc there was one very dedicated teacher that did an amazing job there who walked out on them, why? I couldn't say. If you love your child, don't hesitate to demand reports and email communication for your own record. Request headquarter information and call to make sure it's correct as well as a number for licensing to find out about the reports on this facility. As a paying parent you have EVERY right to know the kind of "care" your child is in. Be alert and steer clear. I hope a letter was put out to inform everyone about this investigation these past months. Maybe this review will get their attention and finally communicate with me, which they have REFUSED to do this whole time. What the heck did we pay for then?! Even a mediocre child care facility would have communicated with me by now. A public care would have also done a MUCH better job. Pay your $670 a month elsewhere! read more

This school was outstanding!!! My first kid was with Ms Kim, Stephanie and Dana. All three ladies were fantastic. Homework was reasonable, discipline was fair, costs were also reasonable fir what you get. My second child was only with Ms Kim for about 8 months. They are very loving and nurturing to kids. They have plenty of activities and day trips. My oldest learned colors, shapes, letters, spelled his first and last name, days... I highly highly recommend this place. Such a great center! We started my son when he was almost 3 years old at TLC. He was at a previous center & they were not able to meet his needs. The same day that we met Ms. Blanca & she toured us the center we made the switch immediately. She was able to accommodate my late bloomer son with inconsistent potty training issues that his prior center did not want to work with him. That alone was a huge relief that TLC works with the child based on their needs. All the staff are so welcoming. My son has been in the Giraffe room (Ms Eunice's class) for about 5 months now and has made a complete change with his overall mood. He is more happy & pleasant. He always tells me how he loves Ms. Eunice and Ms. Kim. When I use to ask him if he liked his other teachers and the other center he was at he always replies "No!". I know that toddlers always tell the truth. The aesthetics of the center could be better but I wouldn't replace it for the consistent love and guidance that they provide for my son. TLC director Ms. Blanca is the best! My daughter has been at TLC since 2012. In the beginning she was part of different classes, different teachers at TLC. Once Ms. Blanca formed part of TLC in 2013 I started to notice a difference, my child was happier and healthier. No other teacher was able to work with her as well as Ms. Blanca. As a teacher she was able to point out to me that my daughter needed glasses. Her prescription turned out to be extremely high and I never knew until Ms. Blanca pointed this out. She has changed my daughter's life and made a difference that will make a positive effect the rest of her life. By wearing glasses at an early toddler age my daughter has avoided developmental issues and her learning experience was not delayed in preschool, and now as a Kinder graduate is well above grade level. Academics are important, Care, Nutrition, Love, Understanding, Patience, Creativity, Diversity are all important in our child's lives. Still totally love this childcare. Our child moved to another gathering presently because of her age (turned 3) and being potty prepared. I love the delightful way she sings letter set tune and different tunes; knows the idea of the non-weekend days; follows her name and different letters; effectively builds up to 15; comprehends the idea of her security; very autonomous; hits the dance floor with any music; effectively makes new companions, etc. In spite of the fact that, she turned out to be more protected for this present year, I accept its age-suitable changes as a part of her character, she actually made ton of new companions in her new class with Miss Christina and Miss Amy. They are both so awesome - cherishing, mindful, and proficient! Dana reveals to me about her day in the nights day by day, and they appear to keep the children occupied every day for certain animating exercises. My youngster's jargon extended massively in this new gathering, I accept due to further developed (age-wise) instruction. I am extremely grateful for TLC and all it's staff for providing a safe and exciting environment for my child. My son had never been under anyone's care before TLC and it was awesome seeing how quickly he adapted and loved everyone at TLC. He was just turning 3 before he started and he was so excited he didn't hesitate to stay on his first day. All the staff are lovely and caring, the kids all feel it. They provide a wide variety of activities and educational lessons plus they are incredibly organized and always informative with parents about their lesson plans and calendars. I've had my son enrolled for a year and a half now and there hasn't been a day where he doesn't wake up excited to go to school. About a year ago when our our 3 year old daughter was ready to start school we were nervous as this was also new to us. I visited many learning centers before choosing TLC, I was not quiet sure what to expect as all the places I toured never gave me that feeling of "it just feels right". I spent 10 minutes talking with Ms. Blanca (the director) and right there in there I realized I had found the perfect place for my daughter. My son attended this school when he was 4 yrs. old. He received an excellent academic education here. At the time, Ms. Fely was his LAUP teacher and Ms. Blanca was his daycare teacher. Both were wonderful. About halfway through the school year, my son started to experience severe environmental allergies. Prior to discovering its source, the school director, his main teachers and ALL of the other teachers took great care to ensure extra cleanliness of everything and of him. They were patient and understanding of our concerns and we were so grateful for that. (The source of his allergies was a particular tree species located near the play yard which is no longer there.) The fun activities (field trips, holiday celebrations) were fun indeed and it seemed that most, if not all, parents were happy to attend and/or volunteer. Currently, my 3 yr. old daughter attends the school. Her teacher, Ms. Eunice, is very kind and gentle which is exactly the kind of person a child would want to meet on their first day/experience in a structured setting. Although my daughter cried during morning drop offs for the first few weeks (which can be expected), I would leave her knowing that she was in good hands. This year, Ms. Blanca is the new director and she is doing a great job. She is passionate about her field and from my point of view, it resonates throughout the school - It can be seen in her interactions with the children and parents, the notes and newsletters she writes up, the activities that are planned, and in the teachers that work there. My family is happy with TLC and we feel truly blessed to have found this school and such wonderful, caring teachers.
