Punctual, professional, and eager to help! I may be a little biased because I personally know the guys, but nevertheless, I was happy to pay for the service. They were very punctual, professional, and eager to help. I had two beds that I had left assembled as is but they disassembled them and put them back together at the new place. They came prepared with boxes and other packing materials, so the lose stuff that we hadn't already prepared for moving were quickly packed up and loaded. I contacted about 4 other companies before I found TLC. They were the first to get back to me. The only other company to respond took a while and I was on a time frame as I promised the people who took over my place that I was going to be out of the apartment a week before September 1st to be able to avoid the craziness. They gave me the best price around. The other companies gave me at least a few hundred dollars extra on the estimate. I moved from Brighton and I had to drop off my stuff at two different places (one at the new place and the other stuff were going to storage). Throughout the process, they communicated quickly via email. All of my questions were answered, and I felt comfortable going ahead with them. On they day of the move, they maintained contact with me by phone to give me any updates on their ETA. They were supposed to come to Brighton at 10 and at 9:45 they showed up at my door. They supplied boxes and helped me pack - specifically, I needed help with packing my dishes and glasses. They packed everything soooo fast; I was still working on my stuff. I had a full bedroom set and it wasn't a problem for them to take it down piece by piece and wrap everything up without any scratches. They also packed all my clothes in wardrobe boxes, as they mentioned to me over the phone. They did it so much faster than I could have done. They also provided storage space for me for much cheaper than any storage companies around. It was about $20 cheaper but who doesn't love a deal??!! Definitely call them and you will recommend them to all of your friends!! We used TLC moving to move from Waltham, MA to Naples FL. We moved from a 1st floor 2br condo to a 3rd floor walk-up apartment. Florin, the owner, proactively offered to come to our home and do an on-site estimate, which immediately boosted my confidence in them. Most other companies insist on locking you into a contract over the phone without ever seeing your place and your stuff. During the on-site estimate, Florin was friendly, thorough and very upfront with us. He took his inventory and went over the logistics of our move with us, and left promising to send a quote the following day after he had time to review. His quote came in on-time, and was roughly double what some of the other companies had offered. Still, we thought, this was a big move, we like our things, and Florin seemed like a stand-up guy. We decided to go with TLC despite the significant price difference with every other vendor. We finalized the agreement when I called Florin back, and setup a time for them to deliver our packing materials. The day of our pickup, Florin arrived with 2 friendly guys -- I believe they are his cousin and nephew. They were *so* careful with all of our belongings, and we had some oddball items for them to handle, too: a massive sectional sofa, a 500lb Tempurpedic king, 2 radio controlled airplanes with 4ft wingspans, and a motorcycle. They worked so carefully and so diligently; we couldn't have felt better about the whole process. We were so comfortable with them that we stepped out to pick them up some cold drinks. During the loading process, Florin took a detailed inventory of every single item. We took advantage of TLC's short-term storage option for 1 month, which was very reasonably priced. Come move-in day in Naples, Florin arrived right when he said he would with his nephew and got to work fast. Again, they took utmost care with our items, and I couldn't imagine feeling more at ease while having someone handle everything we own. They finished within a couple hours, reviewed the inventory, squared up on payment and left with a friendly goodbye. TLC is expensive, but if you value your stuff and peace of mind, they are 100% worth it and I will use them again. Also, unlike stories I've read involving other movers, TLC stands by their quotes and does not tack on any additional fees. So what you agree to up front is what you'll actually pay, and not a penny more. These guys are awesome and really limited the amount of stress associated with our 1500 mile move. read more

Florin was not only very responsive, but he booked me very last minute, his prices are affordable and his customer service is great! TLC Moving & Storage performed our cross country relocation flawlessly. We needed to move the contents of our 2000 sq ft house in Boston into storage for a couple of months until finding a new home in San Francisco, and then have them bring deliver it all to the West coast. They were so accommodating, they even stopped in Indiana on the way to pick up some other items I needed moved as well. Everything was tagged, wrapped well and securely packed. They were professional, fast but careful, and we were given a very good price for the amount of work performed. I expected to lose some items to breakage or damage of some sort after moving an entire house from one coast to another regardless of how well everything was done - however all of our stuff arrived looking great and intact. We used TLC for our move from our 2 bedroom, 3rd floor walk up in Beacon Hill to Wisconsin. In summary, HIGHLY recommend TLC. Their reviews are limited online, but are ALL positive (versus for literally every other moving company, the very mixed online reviews, not to mention the reviews from many friends, that were across the board). I decided to take a leap of faith.... TLC wasn't the cheapest (but also wasn't the most expensive) of all the quotes I got from moving companies, but so so happy I decided to go with them. They were by far the most flexible. We only had two bedrooms, so didn't fill a full truck. Most companies would put you in a 2 week pickup/delivery limbo as they wait for a truck to fill in a similar destination (I could not handle that level of unknown!) Florin (owner) managed all the payment and email communication, AND was there on move out & move in. They use paper, standard carbon copy form documentation, and took a deposit (I believe 50%). Upon delivery, you pay the rest. I'll admit I was a little nervous early on the in the process because the documentation looks a little old school - it is clearly a small, family run business - but as soon as they showed up on move out day, I was thrilled. The team of 3 packed our whole apartment....it was Florin & I believe a nephew or two (they were all so nice, I think they are Moldavian) They brought all the boxes and packing material. On the other end, they UNPACKED every box & discarded the boxes & packaging material (which was oh so worth the extra $$). They were timely on both ends. Florin was the only one of the team that drove & unpacked us in our new place, but he was speedy (and everything was put away & habitable by dinner time :) I was moving out, flying out of Boston, then waiting for our stuff before we could move in. They were scheduled to arrive 2 days after the move out....but our place needed an extra day because of wood floor drying time, and they accommodated no problem with a week notice - and maintained the same pick up date. Amazing. I felt kind of ridiculous sitting around drinking Starbucks while they worked, but it was by far the most painless move ever. Also worth nothing....6 months later, haven't seen anything broken and/or missing. read more

These guys did a wonderful job with my move from Boston to Cambridge! They arrived early and worked lightning fast. They wrapped up my furniture nice and snug in moving blankets and didn't charge to wrap things like TVs and mirrors. They disassembled and re-assembled our crazy Ikea Expedit TV unit (that did not please them in the least, but they never complained:)). I moved from a walk-up to a walk-up, and they never even blinked at the stairs, just started solving problems. The movers were polite and nothing was broken, which is not always easy in a move up and down stairs. Only caveat at all - they are not huge I think and not super automated, so make sure you confirm your address with them (my address exists in multiple nearby towns, which almost caused an issue -- which I'm sure they would have dealt with well, but still). They only take checks and cash, but this is not uncommon for movers in the area. read more

This review is about a cross country move (2700 miles) for a 2 BR apartment with lots of fragile furniture. TLC is the best moving company we've ever used. Communication leading up to the move was great. Florin and his team showed up on time, moved fast and wrapped/ treated our furniture with tons of care. Florin himself drove all of our stuff across the country and showed up earlier than he had anticipated, which was great for us (he communicated his progress to us along the way so we were prepared). He unloaded everything on his own and got it done in 3 hours. The quote was spot on and our furniture (and fragile kitchenwares) arrived in perfect condition. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and we will use them again if we move back to Boston! read more

We used TLC for a complicated move from Medford, MA, to FL, with stops along the way to drop off furniture in NY and VA. I moved my 86 year old mother from FL to Medford, MA in March, 2013, and the moving company I hired was horrible, trying to extort more money from my mother, first at her house (we paid), then again when they arrived at her apartment for her delivery. For my move in June, 2013, I researched and interviewed several movers, but after talking to Florin, I decided that his was the company we would use. He did an in-home-estimate, and quoted me a flat rate. Although TLC was not the cheapest price I got, he provided me with a dedicated truck from MA to FL. Florin and his 2 guys arrived at my home the morning of the move on time, and every piece of furniture was individually wrapped and loaded into the truck with care. Our move included the second and third floor, as well as the basement. Florin and his crew were hardworking and polite. I wasn't in FL 3 days later when he arrived, but I had someone meet him while he unloaded the remains of his truck into my garage. I am packing up this house now for a 2 block move, and Florin will be in FL and will do that move for us, as well. I highly recommend TLC! Dealing with Florin has been a pleasure. Moving is not an easy nor a fun process. That's what I thought up until I hired TLC to move me from my apartment rental to a new condo. They were on time, professional, affordable and easy to do business with. Finding a local moving company is a daunting task as there are so many to choose from. While I did that, I was actually referred to TLC from a friend who had a very good experience with them as well. I didn't get a better quote anywhere else (at least from a reputable company that is) and TLC came highly recommended, so I hired them. On the day of the move, they showed up 10 minutes earlier, briefed me on how the move was going to proceed and did their job swimmingly. I was a tad nervous because of all the awful moving stories I've heard from friends, but TLC handled my move without a hitch and I couldn't have been happier.
