I still remember when Polish Water Ice showed up in Ocean City, Nj back in the 90s. We though it was a strange name for water ice but were blown away by texture. It was so smooth and velvety compared to other types of frozen ices. It still brings back memories from when I was a kid. This time, I visited with my girlfriend and got a few classic. Lemon Polish Water Ice and a Cotton Candy/Vanilla Soft Serve Polish Freeze. Both were great! Their Hershey's soft serve is under-rated (it rivals Kohr Bros.). I thought it was amusing that they guy at the counter was wondering whether we were from Rita's taking picture of prices. I have never been to Rita's and I will certainly never go on the boardwalk. Stop by for what is definitely (at this point) a Jersey Shore classic. read more

I love it, I love it, I love it!!!! Please, please, PLEASE bring this to Indianapolis. You could make your business just from what I will buy! We had no idea what Polish Water Ice was and I feel like however I explain it will never be good enough. Picture a Dole pineapple whip consistency, but no dairy. Picture a snow cone with the finest shaved ice ever. Picture sweet but not syrupy sweet flavors suspended in a way that every bit has flavor, you aren't left with just ice at the bottom. A couple bonuses - you can sample the flavors before you buy and you can mix the flavors side by side. I loved Ocean City for the beautiful beach and great food, but Polish Ice Water, I will miss you the most. read more

My son has food allergies. I stopped for a water and checked to see if their products were safe for him. The owner was amazing. She took the time to show me the boxes with ingredients listed for both the water ice and ice cream mix. She also told me to feel free to ask for the person making his product to wash their hands before making his. All of the staff have been super sweet about doing this and it makes my son feel extra comfortable eating his boardwalk dessert. On top of all this it is super delicious!! Cherry water ice mixed with vanilla soft serve frozen custard. Genius! I've never heard of Polish Water Ice before my stay in Ocean City earlier this week but I'm guessing it's a Jersey Shore boardwalk thing. The Polish side of me got pretty smug that this actually exists AND rivals Italian ice. The water ice came in more than a dozen flavors, which could either stand alone or pair with frozen custard (my personal choice). I ate this every day on the shore. Refreshing and just decadent enough (paired iwth the custard, anyway). Needless to say, I'm a fan. read more

If someone asks you if you'd like water ice, but you don't have a clue what it is, you just nod and smile and say yes like a normal sane person would. It's hot, it's the summer, and "water" and "ice" combined into one chilly treat sounds like a solution to me. The poor girl ... I asked for a sample of pretty much everything. So when I say that the watermelon is the best, I can say it with certainty. The sizes are also huge. Get the kids size otherwise you'll be too full to eat any other boardwalk treats... like crab fries! read more

To say I am OBSESSED with Polish water ice is an understatement. I cannot even find the words to fully express how amazing this product is. I am not a fan of Italian ice, so I was a bit hesitant at first, but the minute I sampled the first water ice flavor, I fell IN LOVE! I tasted almost all of the ice flavors, and they're very flavorful. What got me even more was the super smooth texture. Rita's does not even compare to it!! I decided to get the Polish Freeze - pina colada and vanilla. Well, I was blown away - I thought the water ice was good, but the ice cream was even BETTER, and the combo of the two was AMAZING. Now I must write more about the ice cream, because it is probably the BEST soft serve, other than Carvel, that I've ever had!! It blows my mind that there are several Kohr Bros. along the boardwalk with the longest lines, yet their ice cream was pretty much TASTELESS compared to the Polish ice cream. In addition to taste, the Polish ice cream is extremely thick and smooth - unlike any other ice cream I've ever had, and I've had a lot!! If you haven't had this yet, make sure you try it! You won't be disappointed! read more

Terrific water ice. I can't image anyone else's ever being better than this. It is so smooth and creamy. Much better than Rita's or shaved ice. I usually get mango, and it is so good that I have difficulty trying new flavors. In the summer they usually offer free samples. Try one, you'll get hooked. Eat it quickly though, they melt really fast (faster than normal water ice). read more

Get the cherry and cotton candy swirl. Snow cones and icees are junk compared to polish water ice. Every scoop from beginning to end is flavorful. There's a shaded children's pavilion directly across from the store where you can enjoy your treat without it melting under the summer sun. Except that the children's pavilion is loaded with senior citizens rather than kiddies... Nevertheless, you and your companions have to pay a visit to Polish water ice! read more
