I absolutely love this place. Yes, it's definitely far from all the hustle and bustle in downtown OC but it's 100% worth the drive every single time. I live in Somers Point, so it's not too too far from me, but it's definitely a little bit of a drive for ice cream. Believe the hype. It's that amazing! I always go with the vanilla ice cream and get fruity pebbles mixed in and on top! There is outdoor seating located next to the restaurant in a cute courtyard. The restaurant itself is very small and there is no indoor seating so the line often wraps outside the building. Most workers there are kind and willing to help if you need assistance picking out the ice creams. Every order comes with an ice cream of choice, drizzle, cereal churned in, and topping. Because of this, the prices may seem a bit pricey ($7-8 for a regular) but it's all because of the unique and elite ice creams they have to offer. They also have a great instagram so be sure to follow them. We have a been a few times because they have so many mix-in/topping options and I want to try them all. This time I got a Vanilla waffle cone with Frosted Flakes and rainbow jimmies (yes jimmies because we are in New Jersey). My girlfriend got the "Surfer Joe", which is Vanilla/Chocolate ice cream swirled with Special K mixed in, topped with pretzels, heath bar, and chocolate syrup. It even came with a surf board and flower lei. Churn House has an awesome outdoor seating area. Because the ice cream is mixed, it does melt rather quickly.
