The Custard Ranch is a well known soft ice cream stand in Woodbine. We have been bringing our children and grandchildren here for many years. The stand sells both soft-serve and regular ice cream (plus other food) and there are many options for sizes and flavors. The staff is polite and efficient. The reason for our giving them only a 3-star rating is that, when our four grandchildren ordered cones of soft-serve and two asked for cups in case the ice cream started to fall, we were charged twenty-six cents per cup for the cups. This is the first place that we have ever seen that charges for the cup when a child gets an ice cream cone and it seems both cheap (although $0.26 for less than a nickel's worth of plastic is not cheap) and very customer unfriendly. At least they didn't charge extra for the paper napkins. Should we return in the future, we will be sure to bring our own plastic cups. read more

Wow! Yummy. This is a treasure next to sea isle. I've wanted to go here for years, and finally decided to stop here today. I was taken by wind! I though they just had ice cream and custard here. Turns out they had an entire restaurant menu. The food was absolutely amazing. The inside of the restaurant was a full renovated and a nice cold room. We waited maybe 7 minutes for our food and it was great. One of my new favorite stops on the way home or to Sea isle city New Jersey. read more

This is a nice little ice cream stand. It is an easy place to stop on the way to and from Sea Isle. They have food, but we have only stopped for ice cream. For ice cream, they have custard and regular ice cream. When we came most recently, I had the vanilla chocolate twist custard in a cone. It was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Overall, this is a convenient place to make a stop for a snack. read more

LOVE!!! Been going here every time my family or I visit NJ. We love the vanilla/twist custard on a cone- it's light and really hits the spot. I prefer the blue raspberry Italian water ice- I been having that since I was little. Regardless of what you like, there's tons of options so you'll leave feeling satisfied. Local ice cream shop in my home town woodbine, it's only on its second owner and their very nice people I live very close so I go often , food is amazing and most classics from first time door opened are still on menu. New and returning staff each year with very welcoming smiles . Reasonable pricing read more

Amazing little stop on the way home from the shore. Great creamy ice cream with a variety of flavors. Prices are very low compared to other ice cream shops on the islands. $3.50 after tax for a LARGE soft serve cone compared to 5$ before tax at other shops. Employees remember your name if you come often and give great service. All the food is great and decently priced with big portions. The cheesesteaks and burgers are 10 out of 10. A side Of French fries is a pound of potatoes and the melts are perfect. Overall a fantastic spot. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now since the campground we stay at on weekends in the summer is nearby. Their ice cream has always been good, and they have a huge selection of ice creams, sundaes, milkshakes, etc to choose from. Some of their items can get pricey but I think the quality is up to par. Tonight was the first night we tried their food. I wasn't expecting a 5 Star meal, but some of their menu items could use a lot of help! My fiancé got the pulled pork sandwich, and the meat looked like wet dog food. There was no substance to the meat; it was just tasteless slop on a bun. He took two bites of the sandwich and threw it away. I got the chicken tender wrap, and it was okay. Nothing to rave over. What I thought was strange was putting a slice of American cheese on the wrap and not shredded cheese. That was weird. The pizza tasted like it was microwaved. It was soggy and very doughy. The Mozzarella sticks were pretty good, and the onion rings were tasty. I really like how they give you a side of sauce for the onion rings similar to the bloomin onion sauce at Outback Steakhouse. The prices are in line with other pizza shops in the area but the quality is not as good that's for sure. I'd most likely try some of their other menu items next time we go back, but if you are looking for something that's 1 step up from fast food, this is the place for you. The 4 stars on this review is for the ice cream. I'd give the food 2 stars. read more
