1 star. Enough said. The Dr. There boched a euthanasia. It made a stressful situation a very tramatic one. As a veterinary technician of 20 plus years I have never seen or heard of a vet give the TKX then go to euthanize the dog. Dog yelps and discontinued the euthanasia. Say I guess it's not her tome. Not reverse the drugs. Has the owner take a very sedated dog home and Say keep the dog warm. Flip her on her side every few .. whatever. Owner ended up taking her the the ER she was euthanized properly and with love and compation. The question remains. She didn't reverse it? Or what was this vet thinking? I hope that this is investigated how traumatic it is for the family. Gross neglegense in my opinion. How sad! read more

The support(office( staff are all a bunch of kids that treated me as if I were a problem. Spent $0 for visit and meds to stop itching but they didn't work. There was a small child behind the desk and she had thrown paper and markers all over the place, not professional at all.Then they accused me of being disrespectful to the staff and told me to take my business elsewhere. I asked for my dogs records and the gave me 1 sheet of paper for each dog. When I asked for all their records the told me they shredded them. I brought them 2 folders filled with all their records but they destroyed them. When the vet clipped their toe nails they all had to have some powder to stop the bleeding. I'm glad to be done with them their care for pets is lacking. I'm sorry I have to give them 1 star. read more

Attached is my letter to the state licensing board: Today I brought my 6 and a half month old female cockapoo, Sophie, in to be spayed. I was told to bring her at 12:30 pm and then pick her up before 5 pm because they close at 5 pm. I arrived at 4:30 and was told she wasn't ready. I asked if she was okay and was told she was fine. The staff treated me like I was some kind of crazy person to have any concern. The vet came out at 4:45 and told me to come back at 5:30. I asked why and he replied that he hadn't even begun the procedure. I said you are going to sedate my dog, operate and give her to me in 45 minutes. Next, I was told that this procedure was done on "wagons". I said not to my dogs. Please give me my dog back. I got my dog and left. This is the 4th dog I have had spayed and never have I seen this practice. Unfortunately I am new to this area and picked a vet at random. This type of practice cannot be tolerated. I along with millions of Americans am a responsible pet owner who loves and adores my furbabies. I have to wonder what the $500 or $600 dollars was for. A 45 minute drive through sedation and surgery. Please look into the practices at this clinic. read more

Brought my chihuahua in for a simple procedure. 2 days later after the procedure my dog was taken by us to Mass and RI hospital. Septic from the procedure they did that introduced bacteria into my dog. After emergency surgery taking out necrotic tissue numerous iVs blood draws Xrays and near death my dog came home. I reached out to TLC and did get my money back for the procedure and an apology from the Tech, the Vet wouldn't step in to see how my dog was doing or offer an apology. Just to fix what TLC. Did to my dog is $4 thousand dollars. And the quack without even seeing any paperwork yet from the hospital said I was given the wrong diagnosis????? WTH Beware this vet!!! read more

The staff always makes time to see my babies when I need them. They have given me wonderful end of life care for my animals.

If I could give zero stars I would! We never even made it to our appointment. I was told when I called to make an appointment for my bird that it would be $75 for the appointment and $50 plus for medication. When I called the day of they told me that they aren't able to provide most medication available to birds and they weren't sure if they would even be able to help me. But they certainly were willing to take me in for the $75 fee knowing very well that there was nothing they could do to help me. The staff was not helpful over the phone and they seem to not care about the misunderstanding. I now have a sick bird with no help and I've been waiting a few days to take this appointment. read more

I only rated this a 1 because the main emergency TLC room was nice to us when we checked in our beloved pet but I rate a 0. We took our baby Violet March 15, 2020 because she started to experience neurological issues. We were told they would keep her overnight and have the neurologist look at her Monday morning, since it was Sunday and they were not available. We were called Monday to see the neurologist. The neurologist office is connected to the main hospital but they function independently. The doctor (Dr. Jessica, I cant remember her last name) and nurse practitioner were not honest with us. They kept pushing the MRI to see what was really wrong with her. They thought she may have a brain tumor or meningitis. They brought Violet to us when we talked to the doctor (Her name was Jessica. I asked why one of Violets eyes was bigger than they other and she told me it could be the pain meds. Violet was also breathing heavily like breathing with a cough. We had to keep her elevated as I held her. We were not going to do the MRI and we asked how we could treat the inflammation of the brain. They recommended we give her a steriod via her IV she had in and gave us medicine to treat inflammation and bring her back in a week. They took Violet back to the room to give her the steriod. As soon as she was brought back to us, Violet was very different. Her tongue began to come out of her mouth, the labor breathing increased as we checked out with the assistant's doctor. I asked her multiple times about her tongue and she assured me nothing was wrong. She just kept reminding us to keep her elevated at home. We left and on our 30 minute drive home Violet passed away in my arms. We ran to our local Banfield to see if they could help us and they gave her oxygen for 20 minutes, but Violet was gone. The doctor at East gate Banfield spoke to the doctor who helped us at TLC. The doctor at East gate Banfield told us that Dr. Jessica had relayed she thought Violets brain had shifted. This was a shocked to us, as this was never communicated to us. This is what upsets me the most. They were not honest with us, kept pushing the MRI to get more $$. They should have told us VIolet was passing in our arms while we were talking to them. They wasted our time. Her symptoms showed it (labored breathing, tongue coming out, etc.) We didn't notice it at the time because we were distracted with what the doctor was saying. If we had known she was passing we never would have put her in the car. We would have rather have stayed at TLC and hugged her and kissed her goodbye in her favorite bed. Please do not go here. It may seem like its a nice decorated place, but they are not honest people. Please stay away from them. read more

They are now under new ownership, and the new staff and prices seem good to me. My dog went in for an exam and the people there seemed like they knew what they were doing. My dog can be a little difficult around strangers, but they knew just how to handle her and keep her calm. I would recommend this Vet. read more

I brought my dog into TLC Veterinary Hospital due to a severe illness. I was able to get an appointment right away. The staff is very professional and kind. There is one staff member in particular, whose name is Crystal. I cannot say enough about the kindness and compassion she has shown, not only to my dog, but to me as well. After my dog was diagnosed and sent home with meds, Crystal continued to call and check on us. She was always available to answer any of my questions, or to give me advice on managing my dogs continued care. My dog is doing great today, and Its because of the care she received at TLC, and because of the help and great advice from Crystal. read more

They are amazing ! I called because our dog has become a big brother and we needed to get in for a second set of booster shots. They were very accommodating. I brought big bro for moral support which they were happy to see him and the new baby. After our pup got all her stuff done the vet saw that big bro was dew and was happy to take care of him too. When I loaded them into the car and noticed his nail was bleeding a bit the vet came right out and to the car and fixed him up. He also sat with him on the floor thru the exam and shots becase he doesn't like being on the table. They are good people keeping reasonable rates . read more

I brought my 5 year old siamese "Lily" here Friday Jan 4 2019, my experience was great, nice and clean, receptionist was nice and informive! Doctor was sweet!! I received antibiotics, pain med for 3 days , 3 cans of food and 4 pills to entice her to eat. Lily a week later is doing wonderful Im so happy especially after bringing her to E.R. in Swansea and they gave me no antibiotics only vitamin C and three tiny peices of one pill for eating ridiculous!! 400$ verses 115$ so crazy, i plan on this being my new vet very happy read more

Any simple care for the animal like nails clipped, shots ,check up It appears Krystal is a good one BUT the vet who does surgeries, tells you. its a simple surgery and no problems and your next call is and i quote "the surgery went well! " then a pause so you feel good and then they drop the bomb" Your pet died waking up". THE END . They had nothing to say after that. Absolutely amazing place to take your pets. Absolutely love this Veterinary Hospital. Always feel welcomed by the entire staff and feel that they truly care about my dog. Our little Yorkie became ill recently due to her teeth, we had no idea how important dental care is to her health. Thanks to Dr. Travers preforming teeth cleaning and multiple extractions she went through the entire process like a champ and will be much healthier and happier because of the procedure. Brought my puppy in there for major surgery (which was removal of a foreign body), and told the vet for 4 days after the surgery that I could smell an infection at the site which he declined all 4 times! We rescued a fox hound puppy. We dont have much money. We bought him in for his own first visit and said we could pay only 50.00. The vet was very nice. The 2cd month we paid for the rest of his series of shots. The big woman at the desk said to no one in particular, that poor people should'nt own dogs. I felt shocked and intimated. We did go back to have him neutered. He had never humped anyone, however when we took him home he humped me! I told the vet and she was at a loss for words. His testicles had not descended and he peed like a female. Turns out he had an illness. I googled it and the vet should have knowned about this. She was nice but she was a pretty bad vet. They have a knew vet now. Hes wonderful. If he leaves like so many other vets at tlc im done with them. As for the big lady at the desk, she needs to go. So rude! She shouldn't own animals. I had to go and put my dog to sleep on Tuesday. This was the first time I have ever had to do this. It was horrible. They were not very sympathetic or very organized. But the worst thing that I saw at this place was the Dr and nurses dragging my dog down the hallway with a sheet. If I had know that they were going to do that my friend and I would have carried him. Yes Petie was a big dog, but we carried him to the car and we could have carried him to his room, not drag him. I will NEVER recommend anyone to go there. That was the worst experience ever.
