As a veterinary technician of 20 plus years I have never seen or heard of a vet give the TKX then go to euthanize the dog. Dog yelps and discontinued the euthanasia. Say I guess it's not her tome. Not reverse the drugs. Has the owner take a very sedated dog home and Say keep the dog warm. Flip her on her side every few .. whatever. Owner ended up taking her the the ER she was euthanized properly and with love and compation. The question remains. She didn't reverse it? Or what was this vet thinking? I hope that this is investigated how traumatic it is for the family. Gross neglegense in my opinion. How sad!

There was a small child behind the desk and she had thrown paper and markers all over the place, not professional at all. Then they accused me of being disrespectful to the staff and told me to take my business elsewhere. I asked for my dogs records and the gave me 1 sheet of paper for each dog. When I asked for all their records the told me they shredded them. I brought them 2 folders filled with all their records but they destroyed them. When the vet clipped their toe nails they all had to have some powder to stop the bleeding. I'm glad to be done with them their care for pets is lacking. I'm sorry I have to give them 1 star.

I can't speak about the other vets as I have contact only with Dr. Pitcairn. I would also like to mention that Emily Wood goes above and beyond her work there. She is friendly to all of the clients and makes the visit enjoyable.

It took a long time to check us in because the male employee checking clients in was helping an elderly couple. He was having a difficult time gathering the correct dog food for this particular elderly couple. Long story short. I check in both my dogs. ( mind you my husband had to come with me because 2 dogs can be a handful). We waited for about 2 minutes before being called into an exam room. The tech took down some information and then proceeded to leave and say the vet would be in shortly. After waiting about 20 minutes the tech comes in and says "I'm sorry because you were late for your appt, the doctor is going to euthanize a pet and then you will get seen". Although I feel terrible for the people putting down their dog I proceeded to explain I was not late, it was the check in process. We were checked in late because the male employee was helping an elderly couple. I even told her the entire conversation. I also explained it took a while for me to get this appt because I had 2 dogs and my husband had to be home to help me. I told her I wanted to speak to the vet before she went and saw another client. I waited an additional 15 minutes in the room. It is now 5:40 and my appt was for 4:55pm. I was so angry I got up and left.!! I have been a client of there's for close to 20 years. There is always issues with wait times, which I normally wouldn't mind. But to say it was my fault. That I arrived late!! I have never been late to anything in my life!!!

Everyone you encounter is always so friendly, they get you in fast at your appointment time, and the vet is very thorough and informative! They send plenty of reminders when it's time for a visit or vaccines. In the end the prices aren't the worst I've seen either. They even offer complimentary nail trims on visits which is super helpful as our cats aren't a fan. This will definitely be our life long vet!

So, of course, she gave the vet her credit card number. Not only did we have a sick cat, but my wife was also ill at the time. As it turned out, the day she was supposed to bring the cat in, my wife was admitted to the hospital. After being released from the hospital, she called the vet and asked about the deposit. Was it refundable?Could she use it toward another visit? The answer : sorry, no refund and the deposit can't be used toward another visit. My wife has been rescuing stray and sick cats for over 30 years. We have spent thousands of dollars keeping these animals healthy and happy. But we wont' spend another penny with this vet. There are professionals who see their patients and there are those who only see their patients' wallets.
