A nice place to have a gathering. It is in a location that allows for free parking but it can be tricky. Depending on how many guests you have you will be parking a tad bit farther down the street. Still if in the area you know how ridiculous parking prices are in the Chicago area. I did not have any interaction with the owners or rented the venue but did meet some of the staff who were very nice and helpful. They did a great job of checking people in and telling people the best places to park in case they run out of spaces in their parking lot. Clean facility and as an attendee this is a place I would consider renting out for an event. Not sure how the management is behind the scenes and that is a big factor but cannot honestly judge that portion. read more

Just had my 65th Party this past Saturday I was truly Surprised,but I had a blast I would recommend this place always.

This venue is really nice, the location the parking the space the set-up and inclusions all are great. I traveled home to Chicago for a High School friends 35th Birthday party and this venue is where the festivities took place. Once we found the place (Evite sent us WAY somewhere else) we grabbed a convent park right on the side where there are diagonal spaces. We ventured around the front to enter the venue and was pleasantly surprised by the space and the look of this place. It was so current and modern as far as the floors, the fixtures, the decor, etc.. I didn't get to venture past the roped off stairway that looked as if it lead downstairs as it was ropes off and I'm not one of those curious idiots from horror films that would remove the roping to see where this stairway lead only to be slaughtered LoL. Back to my review... The space where her event was held was on the main level and it really nice open space as she had the DJ set up in the front, the food toward the back near the bar and tables placed accordingly leaving plenty of room to dance on the dance floor. We really enjoyed ourselves and the venue and I wouldn't mind having something in this space in the future when home. The only reason I say 4 instead of 5 stars is because I think the venue need to work on security or a lock system for the space as I stood in the well lit hall to wait for my husband to pull that car around and I was continuing to groove to the music and some random guy ran up to the door (which was unlocked by the way) and started to gyrate on it as if he was dancing with me. He could've been even more crazy and came right in and tried to fondle me I WOULD'VE tried to stop his breathe with my bare hands BUT what IF?? The owners need to rethink the open door policy for people renting the venue as that could be very dangerous. I would hire security if I rented it ARMED security. read more

I can not say enough words about T'Mari. This past weekend we hosted a surprise party at this location, and it was fabulous. First, the owner was friendly, polite, the communication was timely, clear, and simple, and she just has the most amazing spirit. We were planning this party from another state and the owner was so patient and kind to continuously answer all our questions in great detail. Then, the day of the party came. The owner was there, hands on, sweet, patient, kind and extremely helpful. Our attendant, jumped right in to like she know was part of the planning crew. Typically the attendant is lost and needs ton of direction, but not this one. She was simply amazing: friendly, proactive, diligent, and like an extra member of our family that day. The bartender was also spectacular. I can go on and on about T'Mari. If you are looking for a beautiful event space with great customer service, go with T'Mari. My sister threw a sweet sixteen party here for my niece, her daughter and this spot was perfect!!!! Great venue indeed! Dance floor was just right in size. The bathroom was super clean and comfortable. The bar was in a great location towards the rear of the room. Overall this spot is very nice! The officer working the lot was very professional and courteous. read more

PLEASE BEWARE OF THE RIP OFF AFRICAN AMERICAN VENUE OWNER, T'MARI. This establishment looks beautiful, but the quality of the customer service provided is awful. Due to COVID 19 her venue is not able to allow the 125 guest we initially discussed to attend. Understandable, it's the law. She wants me to pay her $1195 for 60 people inside, an additional fee to set up the parking lot to host people outside and I still will not be able to have my 125 people in attendance. SO PLEASE BE ADVISED, she rents by the hour, not capacity. She is all about funding her pockets at the customer's expense. Please don't trust that fake a** smile. Please be extremely careful when reserving this venue!!!! NO REFUNDS ON DEPOSITS!! They pretty much snatched $500 of out my hands. Totally snoozed on them. Beautiful and intimate venue. Initially, the owner seemed professional and appeared genuine. However, there was no mention of any type of refund under any circumstances. How convenient. It can only be applied to a future event. What are the chances of that happening during this climate? Very disappointed in the owner's nonchalant and curt response.saying they're busy dealing with 40 other events. This is a very intimate and beautiful venue. I came here for my co-worker's 60th birthday party, she looked fabulous (sorry no pictures). There was a cash bar a shot of Hennessy and a glass of Pinot Grigio cost $15. I would definitely look into this venue for my next event. I officiated a wonderful wedding at T'Mari's. It was so cozy and intimate. The space was so perfect for the size of the wedding, about 60-85 guests. The facilities were clean and the tables were nicely spaced. Perfect dance floor. Speaking of the floor, the hardwood floors were so beautiful! There is a long aisle for the bride to walk, a space for the DJ, ample space for a sweets table and a smallish place for food to be placed, as well as a place from which drinks can be served. The decorations were wonderful. It is one of those places that you can really decorate nicely. I really enjoyed the venue. Great for a private gathering. Rev. I held a memorial service for my dad at T'Mari. The owner was very nice and professional. She did everything to meet our expectations. Don't judge the size from the outside. Went to a baby shower on 4/9/17. Sorry no pics. But the place is nicely decorated. Nice hardwood floors. The bathroom was nice and clean. However I didn't like the tablecloth on the tables. The way they have it on the tables makes it very uncomfortable with very little leg room. I pretty much had to sit sideways to eat. read more

I was there for a wedding reception. It appears to have two levels but could not see as it was roped off. The parking lot is very small. Some spots roped off for bridal party. The front hall is narrow but welcoming and has a guest book. If you look at this address on line before construction you are amazed at what they have done to make it an event facility. The main room could hold maybe 70 people and it appears used for a lot of non wedding events. It has a bar in back and drinks are pricey at $9 for a 6 ounce glass. The area where food comes out of needs a proper divider and not a curtain. There is a dance floor and room for a band. The sound is good-good ecoustics. A low ceiling in main room. Nice decorating on the tables; the curtains a little glitzy like disco. I would imagine it is at a median price for bookings compared to other places. It was clean. I never found the ladies room. read more

I attended a retirement dinner here and everything was well done. Decor was brightly done, southern-themed food was delicious and presented well. Only complaint: tightly-tucked tablecloths came down low making sitting forward to the table impossible. Weird. It seems ideal for small/medium size parties. read more

We wanted our mother's memorial service and repast in a space that was as lovely and gracious as she was. T'Mari's was recommended to me just as I was losing hope of finding a space that matched what was in my mind's eye. We were already west looking at a place/space we wound up not liking very much and just swung by T'Mari's on the way back home. It was so perfect for our needs, we could hardly believe it! It is not only an elegant and intimate space -- as well as perfect for what we wanted -- but the owners were just impeccably nice AND professional, which is absolutely everything in my book. read more

I conducted a event on this past Saturday, March 17th for a couple of friends of mine. They are preparing to get married this year. I just wanted to share that T'Mari Exquiste Events Venue is an exceptional place to hold any event. It is a beautiful place. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to hold an intimate event. The hardwood floors are shiny and it is extremely clean in this place. The owners are very professional, nice and reasonable. They are engaging and easy to deal with. The facilities are clean and tables are nicely spaced. The decor is exquisite. The bathrooms are super clean and comfortable. The guests enjoyed the event and got many compliments. The owners were very accomodating. My next event will be there. read more
