Although there were many people waiting, I was seen by the triage rather quicker than i anticipated, after that maybe within 30mins called back for an Xray & then the real wait began, after a ling period I was move over to another section of the ER, at least from there the wait for a room wasn't too to long. Both nurses & Dr were great long story short positive for influenza A got some meds I would return in the future if ever sick

I guess it's time to raise the bar. Rural Metro Fire Ambulance (subscription fire and ambulance) Was called , 911 , after midnight for me. I was having a seizure in my sleep. After the paramedics came and I came to TMC the next level of xlnt care began. Tests, Scans, watchful nurses. Now I have Been given a special med and they will keep me for observation for 24 hours. The two meals so far were very good. That so many doctors and nurses check on me is very reassuring. Home tomorrow. Hope to not return.

Still patiently waiting for a bed

My primary care physician is located here and when I called her to tell her about my dizziness and swelling in my leg they suggested that Immediately go to the emergency room to get checked out. Even though the emergency room was very busy I only had to wait roughly 15 minutes to be seen and was overwhelmed by the care and kindness I received. I really wanted to send my appreciation to the ER nurse Garret who showed me a tremendous amount kindness and care and stayed with me all day and answered all of my questions about what exactly was going on you are a blessing to your profession!

From the nurses to the doctors, they all care about people and being a safe and welcoming place to be treated. The wait to be seen and treated is quick. Did not listen or care about relevant medical history, seemed to have tunnel vision and became irritated at the patient for being low energy due to pain. We remained respectful throughout the interactions and continued to reiterate that we know it's complicated and they can't do it all, but would appreciate some guidance as young people new to the area. I am in utter disbelief at his lack of interest in providing--or even just pointing in the direction of someone who CAN provide--potentially life-saving treatment for a patient with serious internal organ problems. Very disheartening experience.

The situation didn't improve so we went to Tucson Medical Center ER at 4:30 p.m. yesterday. My daughter is multiply diabled. She was told that they would do a fleet enema and hydrate her. After waiting until 9:30, the procedure was started. It was somewhat successful and she was told that the staff would perform a more aggressive enema. So, she was placed in a private ER room at 10:45 ish. We waited and waited. I asked the nurse 3 times when the nurses would be in to attend to my daughter. Each time I was told that they were making their way through the patients and that the ER was very busy. The 3rd time the nurse told me that the team would be in shortly and that they had the meds ready for the second procedure. We waited and waited. A nurse came in and I mentioned to her that we had been in the private room for 2 1/2 hours waiting with no updates. She left the room. The doctor came in and said that there was a problem with communication between she and the nurses. She said that they had determined that there was no blockage and that my daughter would be released and she should do her own procedures at home-and besides they needed the room for other people who were much sicker than she was. All of this after waiting for 2 1/2 hours. She w as clearly angry. She sssuggested that she could give another enema and have my daughter wait in the waiting room and use the waiting room bathroom!! (which was also dirty) We made the decision to leave. Checked out and went home at 3:00 a.m. - after 10 hours of waiting and waiting. The ER was dirty and very cold. Curtains were torn, floors were dirty and vending machines didn't work. Had to ask for a warmed blanket while I was in the waiting room. Communication was very poor with both patient and staff. The doctor was clearly trying to get rid of my daughter going into detail about how sick the other patients were putting the blame on her instead of the poor communication that they have internally. We will never return to this ER. I will be reviewing the bill when we get it.

Unfortunately, she moved her office and is now part of TMC One and things are not the same. As my primary physician, I visit for annual physicals and the things that pop up from time to time. My specialists take care of my diabetes control and related concerns. In mid 2015 I scheduled my annual physical and waited several week to be fit in to the fray and was given an appointment in June. Days before this appointment I started having strange stomach issues and they resulted in an emergency room visit. Happily, I knew I was vising Dr. Iveson within a few days, and would be able to discuss it. Once at the appointment Dr. Iveson told me she did not have time in her 15-minute increment based schedule to address my current issue and the physical I had waited so long for. Instead, she said I needed to choose what I wanted to talk to her about. While I should have walked out then, I stayed, concerned with what was going on with my stomach and shocked I would have to choose. I left, rescheduling my Physical for the next available appointment, in DECEMBER. Just this morning I was heading into my appointment scheduled for 9:30a. As I was driving in, I encountered a traffic stoppage on Houghton Road, the only direct corridor into town from Corona de Tucson. I called the office 40 minutes ahead of time to let them know that I may be 10-15 minutes late for my appointment. The very nice receptionist put me on hold saying she needed to talk to Dr. Iveson. When she returned, she said that Dr. Iveson didn't want to "short change" my 30 minute physical by fifteen minutes and felt it may be best for me to reschedule. Again, married to her fifteen minute increment plan rather than shifting a waitng patient ahead of me and letting me fill in when I arrive. Now, I was late, and I fully accept this. I also understand that the keeping the schedule benefits the following patients. Even though a waiting patient my have been happy to go ahead of me in my temporary absence. And while this may seem on the surface that she is concerned about "my" care and wanting me to have my full time with her, the recent track record shows a complete dedication to her fifteen minute "herding" of patients. It is a true shame that Dr. Iveson is more concerned with the mighty dollar and keeping the herd moving than she is with taking the time to work with the patients. I reluctantly dissolved my patient relationship with Dr. Iveson this morning. It is a true shame. I have been a true fan.
