I contracted HH because I have seen them throughout the resort doing work on other rigs. I should have spoken to my neighbors and/or read their Yelp reviews before calling, but I scheduled an estimate to replace a worn awning on my 28ft travel trailer. After the estimator arrived, I was quoted a price just under $800 for parts and labor, but i failed to get it in writing. They came out the following week with the new awning and proceeded to remove the old one. Somehow, the torsion spring assembly broke. This was strange to us because we tested the awning motor and the spring and the old one opened and retracted without problems. They also discovered that the LED light strip was loose and they recommended replacement, so I approved that as well. Another week went by and somehow, my estimate went from $800 to $1380! I didn't understand how additional parts totaling less than $325 equated to a $600 increase! I was frustrated but I agreed to the updated price and once again, I failed to get it in writing. Though I was frustrated with HH, I was still trying to trust that they would do right by us. Boy was I wrong! The work was finally completed the following week, and I received an invoice for nearly $2200! This was supposed to be an $800 job taking two hours, but the invoice showed .5 hours for the estimate, which was fine. They then charged 3 hours (two workers) to remove the old awning, but stopped work when the torsion arm broke and the damaged LED strip. This was fine. But when they returned with the proper parts, they charged an additional 3 hours even though most of the work was already done! They were trying to charge me 5.5 hours of labor for a two hour job! They were resetting their work time with every trip to our site. I spoke to the rep on the phone and complained about the amount. He first asked if i was a vet, and that I could get a military discount. He then magnanimously offered a $600 discount, which I rejected. I demanded a return to the originally agreed upon estimate of $1380 and not a penny more. It took a couple of days, but the rep finally met my demand, and when I then asked for my military discount, he declined to award it as I already "saved" $900 on the "labor" they took off the invoice! To make matters worse, the persons who did the work left a mess on the site after they finished! We found nails, ripped pieces of the old fabric and some rubber material littered throughout the site! These guys are crooks. and they screwed with the wrong veteran. Moral: talk to your neighbors before calling an rv repair person, and if nothing else, consult Yelp! 1/3 of HH's reviews on Yelp are 2 or less. That's not coincidence.

During the visit, Bill informed my husband that he would check a few places for a replacement part. My husband followed up on Friday, June 20th, only to hear that Bill had been unable to find the part and would look at Home Depot. He mentioned that we might need to replace the entire shower faucet, but we haven't heard from him since, and now it's Monday, June 23rd. I don't mind waiting, but a lack of communication from a business is frustrating. In short, my husband managed to find a temporary part while we look for a more reliable service. My upgrades included a 1,920 Amp Hour LiFePO4 battery bank and a complete Victron electrical system. I upgraded my AC unit to a 18K Furrion Chill Cube Heat Pump. He is always on the look out for honest, reliable, people whose passion is motor sports and own auto and RV repair companies. Boy did he hit the mother lode working in this industry. After the shop we usually used for RV repairs went out of business, he was referred to D&R by a friend at the track, who received his referral from a race team owner. We made an appointment, and were greeted by Victor. He really took the time to look at our concerns. No rush, with clip board in hand documented every one of our RV concerns. Asked us if we any upcoming trips and what kind of time line we were looking at for completion of repairs. We were in no particular hurry. But did say we would like to pick it up in about 3 weeks. We needed brakes all around and a couple of new airbags, along with a few much more minor repairs. Work was completed earlier than we thought and were thoroughly pleased with the motorhome. Prices were very reasonable and we feel very confident in the work that was completed. We returned the RV for more work several months later. This time we had the pleasure of working with Daisy, again clip board in hand, documenting all of our concerns. We had a bouncy floor near slide out. (Water damage?). We also had an engine check light that kept coming on randomly. When we purchased RV used (from a race car owner/friend), he told us this was an ongoing issue. He told us he had taken the RV in for this several times when he owned it. Never could pinpoint the cause. Said everything checked out motor-wise. Rafael & Daisy, the owners of D&R, sat us down and talked to us about what could be wrong initially. Squishy floor could be water damage, could entail slide removal ($$$$). Total mystery why engine check light keeps coming on until further investigation ($$$$). We left there sorta feeling sick to stomach. Glad we were braced for worst case scenarios. Picked up RV couple weeks later. Squishy floor was simply the floor board in that area had become slightly warped. All was needed is lifting tile and screwing that layer back down. No water leak or damage. You could not even tell the tile had been lifted. I'm really finicky & absolutely no signs of repair. No bounce. Showed us pics of repair work. Wowed! Engine check light concern was addressed. Engine components were checked out. Everything was working properly. Rafael told us we could spend thousands to get the light to go out but he thought it would be a waste of money. In his experience, he has seen this type of issue happen, owners spent thousands on new computer, etc. only to be, simply, a faulty relay switch. Told me to turn on engine but to wait to start motor. I was not doing that. Could be motor/computer communication issue. I'm happy with this. Have used this rig and have seen no performance issues. When we have visited this shop, we are always greeted warmly. Daisy & Rafael are a true pleasure to hand our money over to because we know their work is quality and complete. Sure owning a motorhome is not a cheap form of recreation but it's sure the best when everything is working properly. Thanks everyone at D&R!

Finally we called this place and since we needed service as soon as possible, they said they would meet us a Walmart in Henderson. So when we got there Darrell was already there waiting for us. He quickly got to work, and measured the amount of oil removed, first ~2 quarts per our request and then asked us to drive around the block to get the oil sensor reading. We still had a warning light when we got back, so he removed another 1/2 quart and it was perfect. We were grateful for the timely and accurate work, and could tell Darrell was very experienced.
