Husband called last weekend because our truck had an oil leak. Asked about them looking at the truck to see where the leak was coming from. They told him to bring it in so they could look at it. My husband asked about being charged to look at the truck and they said there would no charge to look at it. Had our parents drop the truck off for them to look at and again, we confirmed both on the phone and in person that there would be no charge to look at the truck. Husband call the next day to inquire about the truck and they told him it was looked at the day before (never called to let us know we had to reach out) at quoted him an outrageous price (4200). My husband declined the work and then they changed what they said multiple times and told him we would have to pay for them to look at the truck even though he was told multiple times that there would be no charge to look at it. Be careful when you go here and make sure to get everything in writing. Told us multiple times one thing but changed their mind when we wanted to get another opinion on our truck. Customer service could also use some work. Both time our parents dropped off and picked up truck the guys sitting at the table failed to acknowledge them and left when they saw them come in. To top it off, the quoted 4200 on the phone but gave our parents an invoice with what work needed to be competed and the price was HALF of what they quoted..... We took the truck to another shop and the leak wasn't even coming from where they said it was. It was something completely different. They wanted to charge us for leaks that weren't even there. Be careful when taking your vehicle here. Edit after phone call: This is not a he said she said. This is a case of poor communication. After something is confirmed multiple times, why all of a sudden was it changed after we declined the work? The shop that my truck is currently in was happy to take a look at our truck with no charge to determine what was wrong. Yes, our parents signed for the truck because they were forced to because you would not give them the truck with having to pay the charge. My husband did call multiple times before picking up the truck and no one wanted to work with him. Edit after response: your response should tell anyone your character and how you treat customers. My husband knew very well that reviews were going to be posted because he suggested it. He was not aware that I posted it when I did which is why he stated what he did. Calling a customer a liar is a great response. Were you even there? Did you interact with my parents? It is funny that your story has changed....you stated you greeted them right away but now your grandma was sweeping the shop while other customers were being attended to? There were no other customers. A guy on the phone and a guy on the computer. Almost 10 minutes to even get someone to help. The second time, 2 guys eating and only after the same amount of time one went outside to get someone to help. I guess they didn't want to be bothered during their lunch time. It's interesting you know that my truck is still in the shop when it is actually sitting in front of this beautiful cabin we are enjoying in the mountains because the shop we took it to actually took the time to look it over completely and actually diagnose the leak correctly and not overcharge us for something that was not leaking. You really think we would trust you with our trailer if this is how you treat customers and perform work? I would take my trailer to the dump before I would bring it to your shop. And who is the liar.....it is now 2 hours to make yourself look good but you told Lee 1 hour on the phone ‍ but I thought you didn't really read yelp.....seems that you do if you keep coming back to this review and responding Just beware.....if you share your experience and this business owner does not like it, he will call you a liar and "accidentally" delete the thread. Amazing shop with a great group of guys and even a really sweet receptionist! My daughter and I were stranded after buying an RV. The guy we bought it from lied about a bunch of things that were wrong with it. The guys at the shop spent hours after they closed on a Friday night, trying to get to the end of the wiring problem. They let us park the RV in their lot over night and then when we came back the next morning they even worked on it more. They fixed the trailer brakes, but we had to leave town since we had a 5.5 hour drive home before it got dark. They came in on the weekend even tho they were closed, just to help us. I engaged Busted Knuckles Mobile RV Repair in Henderson, Nevada for a pre-purchase inspection of an RV, hoping to ensure a sound investment before traveling from Seattle to make this purchase and knowing the condition of this RV before coming down was very important. Unfortunately, their service has been a complete disappointment from start to finish. Despite paying $600 for their inspection, they missed numerous critical issues that have now cost me over $3000 in repairs within just two months of purchasing the RV. From the outset, there were concerning signs. They failed to send any confirming emails or text messages about the appointment, which is standard practice for professional businesses. On the day of the inspection, they were several hours late, causing unnecessary delays for both me and the seller. Moreover, there was no contract or paperwork outlining what their inspection would cover, leaving me in the dark about their responsibilities. During the inspection, they provided blurry photos and videos and later via text admitted to not turning on the water pump or running water through the sinks, toilet, or shower. This oversight meant they missed critical issues such as a leaking kitchen sink drain, which would have been evident with a basic check. He did inform me of some cosmetic issues, which the seller repaired before I flew to Las Vegas. Had he done a proper inspection and informed me of all the other issues, the seller would have either repaired them or reduced the price of the RV, or I would have not made the trek to Vegas from Seattle to purchase this RV. Their negligence continued with misleading information about the condition of the RV. They assured me over the phone that the roof was in good shape, only for a reputable local RV shop to find extensive sealant lifting that requires immediate attention before winter. They later said via text that they told me over the phone that the roof needed sealed, and that is not true. I showed the inspection video to the local shop, and they were shocked that they did not actually climb on the roof to inspect it. They just got on a ladder next to the RV and took a quick video. The local place climbed up and took photos of the many lifted and failing areas or the roof, which I forwarded to Busted Knuckles. They also missed a rusted-out battery tray that slides out from under the vehicle while driving, dead coach battery, malfunctioning door locks, and an expired propane alarm that goes off randomly. Upon discovering this laundry list of problems post-purchase, I promptly reached out to Busted Knuckles with photos from the new inspection and repair quotes, requesting a refund for their inadequate inspection. Despite their initial acknowledgment of errors via text, they failed to respond to subsequent requests for a resolution in writing, preferring instead to avoid accountability. Their unprofessional conduct extended to their payment system, which does not allow credit card usage, making it impossible for me to contest the charge. Despite giving them ample opportunity to rectify the situation, they have shown no interest in providing decent customer service or acknowledging their failures. I want to caution anyone considering Busted Knuckles Mobile RV Repair's services to beware. Their lack of thoroughness, professionalism, and accountability has cost me significantly, and I'm left dealing with repairs that could have been avoided with a competent inspection. I have only requested a refund of the inspection fee, not compensation for the extensive repairs necessitated by their oversights, which I believe is more than fair. read more

In November 2022, I paid Busted Knuckles over $700 for an inspection of a used RV I had purchased. I was told there were no concerns other than possibly needing a new carburetor in the near future. Just a week later, while traveling to Florida from Las Vegas, my RV leaked horribly during an extreme rain storm. When I took it for repair, I was told there were obvious holes in the roof where a satellite dish had been removed. The repairman stated anyone who had knowledge and experience in inspecting RVs should have brought this problem to my attention, especially considering the price of the inspection. Our trailer's bearings caught on fire while driving through Vegas, we needed new breaks, bearings, and an axle. Aaron was able to go out and look at the trailer the same day. His supplier didn't have the correct sized axle but I found one in Salt Lake City (my home) and Aaron willingly talked to the supplier to make sure I got the right parts to drive down (I was coming to meet my husband anyway). Aaron and John were there the day I arrived and had everything installed quickly. They are also friendly guys and were very pleasant to work with. They were a little more expensive than some competitors that I called, but for their quick response time and obvious knowledge it was very worth the cost. He has excellent customer service skills, treating me and everyone I heard him talk with on the phone kindly, directly and professionally. He took care of all the dealing with the hot tank company under warranty, including having the hot tank ordered for delivery and installed. While on the job, Aaron helped me by showing me how to hook up my propane grill that had a tough fitting and swapping out a new tire with a spare. Really, his service is 5 star. I said that wouldn't work as we were leaving Tuesday the next morning. He said he'd try and get there today, but Couldn't promise. He did make and had it fixed in a few minutes. The service was quick and I got my RV up and running. As this is a response to the overall work done, I have to say that the service is good. Where I have an issue is the price. This has to be the most expensive jumpstart I have ever had. Yes, I was quoted that I would be charged for two hours of labor but come on guys, $300.00 for 5 minutes' worth of work? Seriously? Save all the comments on trying to convince me otherwise. I really struggled with the rating on this one. John is a solid mechanic and knows his stuff. He does give star work, but this was a two star situation. I'd echo some of the comments about communication (it's inconsistent: probably juggling too much work, but great once you get his attention). But my rating isn't about small things. After this experience, I just can't recommend Busted Knuckle. Let's start with the positives. John did a full pre-purchase inspection on a new rig for me. That went well and his walkthrough was great. I found some other things later, but for a quick pre-inspection, I'm satisfied that he did a good job. So a week later, when my steps stopped retracting, of course I called John again. John didn't come out, but one of his techs did. The tech mistakenly misdiagnosed the problem as a bad step motor. It would be a $1200+ part plus labor to install it. I was leaving Las Vegas in a few days, so we would drop ship it to my new location and I could handle it myself a week from then. I had zero visibility into what was happening and it was on me to track down the shipment almost a month later after not getting any updates. I could live with that (though thats kinda bad on its own). The kicker is what happened when I crawled under my rig to reinstall the motor. Within one minute, it was clear that the problem was a zip tie in the way of the swing arm. I'd installed a step cover and the zip tie holding down the cover was in the wrong place. Yes, I'm a numbskull for not realizing that sooner. But how did the tech literally not see the problem right in front of his nose? The steps work just fine with the old motor as soon as that zip tie was snipped. The problem is that--unbeknownst to me--the replacement motor was ordered as a non-refundable part through a third party. Now I'm stuck with a $1200 part I don't need for what was a stupid simple $2 problem. Pair that with the ~$500 fee for the initial visit/diagnosis and that's an incredible waste. I get it. People make mistakes. But I would have expected John to at least try to make it right somehow. The motor can't be sent back, but I could have at least been refunded the fee for what was a really terrible diagnosis and a huge waste of time and money. There are other small things I'm not nitpicking here that only add to my sour feelings on this whole experience now. All this for an obvious zip tie? I'm fairly mechanical. But I call mechanics because I work full time. I shouldn't have to verify your work to make sure you're doing the job correctly. If the problem is misplaced trust, that's a bad mechanic relationship. The fact that John didn't even try to make up for that blatant rookie mistake is what makes Busted Knuckle someone I can't recommend. YMMV. read more

I called and had my travel trailer water heater replaced in September 2021 with a brand new one. Came on time and good conversation very nice person but the water heater leaks. I called and text and no one will answer the it is now February 2022, 5 months later and still no one will return my calls. I called this company yesterday and spoke with John. I informed him that I have a work truck in our las vegas office that needs quarterly maintenance. We discussed rates and what work needed to be done to the truck. An oil change and a tire rotation. that's it. He agreed to give me a little break on the hourly rate which was much appreciated and the company has many excellent reviews so I decided to go ahead and give them a try. I told him what kind of truck we had before hand figuring that would be useful information for the tech to have. So today the tech shows up, on time and then says he has to look at the truck first and then he needed to leave to go get the supplies he needed and would return, which he did. The tech had to go get the oil and filter because he didn't have them with him. This is after we already discussed what truck we have, year, make and model. So then the tech does the tire rotation and oil change, no problems there. We then get down to making the payment. I call John on his phone as he is making the tech stay there until he gets payment. I ask how much and he says "$260.39". That's right. $260 for an oil change and tire rotation. He said there was 2 hours of labor and he was helping us out by not charging a service fee. My manager informed me that the tech actually only worked on the truck for about 30-45 minutes. I was being charged for the time the tech took to go shopping, for materials that he should have already had. I also would like everyone to note that this employee was in his own truck using his own tools and is probably not even an employee. I own a service company and see a lot of this regularly. The work is most likely being subbed out and the tech has to get a cut and Busted Knuckle has to get a cut and like magic, that's how you get to a $260 oil change. God knows how much it would have cost if i was also charged a service fee. So yes the work got done, but we we're clearly taken advantage of and my manager let me know the tech clearly didn't want to have to stand there while there was conversation about a $260 oil change. On what planet does anyone think that is ok? So if you like to have to pay for a service 3 times over so everyone can get a cut, this is your place. Or if you really want to use them you better make sure to ask a lot of questions about the service pricing and make sure you're not paying someone to go shopping for basic stuff like oil. A specialty part or something not commonly stocked or when you don't know what the issue is, I get that. Not charging me labor time to shop for oil after you already agreed to show up to do an oil change and you know the exact model of the vehicle you are going to work on. read more
