I took my Mercedes there on Monday, and after meeting Rob and the guys, getting the tour, I will be trading it for my Audi on Tuesday. I was charged twice for repairs that should have been completed the first time. You don't look for a coolant Leah without testing the complete system. First replaced radiator. Lots of labor. Still leaked. After I returned from the hospital,I took it back. Had to replace the overflow. Paid again for the large labor bill for something that should have been checked the first time when the active grill and labor was already apart. Sent a letter to the owner asking to speak with him. No response. Not what I call customer service. I was a mechanic over 30 years. It seems like it was all about the money. I explained where the fluid was leaking on the first trip. Seems to find the first item was replaced and the rest of the system was never checked. A shame to have to pay the same labor twice when only a few miles elapsed to replace another part. I've taken my car to these guys 4 times now. The first was to address a misfire in my engine. They diagnosed and replaced my spark plugs. The second was for another misfire that happened shortly after I picked up my car. They kept is a couple hours and could not get the misfire to persist so took no action and charged me $0. They said if I had further trouble to just drive my car straight there so they could check it out. I had no further issues for months and 2 trips to Northern CA. I brought my car back and they replaced the cables or wires. I'm not a mechanic and I don't have the invoices in front of me but it was not the same issue as trip #1. I picked up my car and she was running like a champ! Then a couple months later my check engine light came on even though the car was running just fine. The owner told me to swing by and he would check the code for me, free of charge. I did and he did, it was a slow emission leak which he said is almost 100% the gas cap. He cleared the code and fiddled with my gas cap and so far the light hasn't come back on. He said if it came back on to buy a gas cap from Nissan and bring it to him and he would clear the code for me again. This shop isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. My first time there I think they charged me a fee to diagnose my check engine light but since then they haven't charged me any fees. When I call, a real person answers and knows who I am when I say my name and the make/model of my car. When they say they will call you back, they do. They don't proceed with any work without clearly defining the cost. They seem to go out of their way to service repeat customers. This place seems like a family owned and operated business that cares about providing honest, good work in exchange for a fair price. I'll keep going back and will recommend them to anyone who's looking! I've seen these guys a little too much for my liking this past year but my car is at 115,000 miles and needs a lot of routine maintenance at her age. read more

Ok I don't do reviews this is a first I had my 08 Chevrolet avalanche towed to Elite check engine light stability trac engine was missing a on number 6 could hear the lifter clicking DOD AFM strikes again 87,000 miles bought the truck brand new changed oil every 3 to 4 thousand miles GM still selling these engines Im getting off track had my vehicle towed here I was told I would get a diagnosis and ball park cost estimate some time that day or early the following day the shop called me in a few hours confirmed my fear top end engine rebuild delete DOD new cam lifters valley pan the whole sha-bang then have tune this is the only way to fix this engine correctly I agreed to the plan was told they would have a estimate on the parts in a few hours they were going to check on a few different options they gave me labor estimate and a ball park date vehicle would be complete so I had a few other parts I wanted swapped out since my truck was going to be disassembled asked if I could have the parts shipped directly to the shop owner said no problem headers water pump oil pump a bunch of stuff I kept coming up with adding onto every day owner agreed no hesitation I was amazed they were to willing to accommodate any of my requests to have the repair list lengthened they kept me informed I never had to call them they kept me informed on all the parts they ordered when they arrived etc... was informed vehicle was completely assembled all seem to have gone well and all my extra parts and side jobs had been completed also truck only had to go to tuner the price seemed fair about what I expected engine rebuild is not a inexpensive repair needless to say I was very worried would my truck motor be reliable? Would it even run and sound ok? Well that was a few years ago I waited to give this review after almost 10k miles I dont daily drive my truck thats why its been 2 or 2 and a 1/2 years I went to pick up my truck it was parked in front of the shop? And was cleaned the owner has his vehicle detailed every couple of weeks and his guy happened to be scheduled for the day my truck was ready for pick up he had his guy detail my vehicle I was impressed and very grateful I had the check engine light come on a couple weeks before I had it towed to Elite the truck was a mess I paid the bill shook his hand got my keys walked to my truck nervously fired it up sounding incredible mild cam up-grade nothing crazy with the new ceramic Gibson headers one of the extra parts I wanted swapped out it was smooth dropped it into drive and I have not had one issue since that day except swapped out the battery and complete brake system so if you own a Chevy with AFM and or DOD 5,3l 4.8l 6.0l its not if its when it fails you can spend a week researching a reliable shop to delete this system or just see the check engine lite and stability trac light ticking lifter call Elite schedule a tow truck have it repaired right these engines can easily go 300 thousand miles after the DOD delete with just oil and fluid changes I love my truck it rides great for a 08 lifted it handles like a Cadillac thanks to Elite I will be driving it for another couple of hundred thousand miles the tuner had my spec sheet from the Dyno it picked up torque and horse power significantly the COMP CAM was a great choice sorry review was very lengthy just telling you my complete experience after choosing Elite auto repair I was not asked to give this review everything I stated was 100 percent fact Stephen Sullivan 2007 NBS 5.3l Vortec Flex Fuel Chevrolet 4x4 Avalanche read more

I'm an older guy so I've seen things in my days and for a group of "younger" folks, they displayed a very high level of customer service and integrity. I needed the turbo coolant system replaced and while they completed all the work I needed, they found one item that made sense to do while replacing the turbo coolant system since it was accessible. I'm a snowbird, just here for the winter. I had some steering issues with my 2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty. Being unfamiliar with the area I googled 'diesel repair shops' and Elite Automotive was in the list. I researched the website and decided to give them a try. They got me in quickly and suggested a new steering gear. They also noticed an engine check light which was a 'low turbo boost' anomaly. Further inspection revealed several spots where oil was seeping from 5 or 6 places including the engine bed and turbo pedestal. I had been thinking seriously about getting this 6.0 liter diesel engine 'bulletproofed' for several years and asked if that was something they could do. Rob and Brian assured me they were perfectly capable of the job. We made an appt for a week later as they ordered and waited on parts to show up. Kelsey, the 'real' boss kept in touch and assured me all was going well. They lifted the cab, removed the engine...in total they replaced the steering gear, power steering pump, EGR cooler, oil cooler, replaced the head bolts with ARP head studs, tore the turbo apart and cleaned it, and new gaskets and seals all around. Quite the job! Although I'm impressed with their experience and professionalism I was completely surprised by their customer service...Kelsey was always upbeat and knowledgeable about the process. Rob is a true extrovert and made me feel right at home. Brian showed me around the shop and explained the process to me. Did I mention how clean and neat their shop is? It gave me a lot of confidence that they were extremely conscious about their work environment. All in all, this is undoubtedly my best experience working with an auto shop, the owner and employees. My son took his car to Elite Automotive and told Kyle S. that he thought his battery needed to be replaced. THEY CHARGED HIM $475 TO REPLACE A $129 BATTERY! They charged $200 to "diagnose" the problem and then $100 to replace the battery. Diagnoses should've been a simple voltage check on the battery. Replacing the battery means loosening two posts and then retightening them once the battery is swapped out. THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF, BEWARE! I called and talked to Kyle afterwards to get an explanation as to what they did other than replace the battery. Such as, what diagnosis they did? He then tried to talk in circles and couldn't explain with any details since this is undefensable. He then told me that, 1. If I had taken the car to the dealer it would've been more expensive (I doubt it) and 2. "you should've done this yourself" if I thought this was too much to spend on a battery replacement. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AND RIP YOU OFF FOR HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. DISGUSTING! read more

"BEWARE OF ELITE AUTOMOTIVE" I run a small box truck business. Searched around for a shop that could get me back on the road quickly. Did research on Yelp and seen Elite had mix reviews but mostly good. My diesel truck was spilling coolant and running hot. Wanted to do preventative maintenance before it became a big problem. Had a moble mechanic put in a thermostat and it started over heating. Took the truck to a "diesel specialist" so I thought. Paid over 200.00$ for the truck to be diagnosed. Elite stated "they found the problem". The thermostat housing, turbo fan and a steel hose. Kept the truck for 13 days over 2000.00 dollars and truck is in worse condition when returned. They gave me a new quote to possibly find out what's wrong for 10,000.00 and don't know if that will fix it. You don't take time out to write two paragraphs when your a satisfied customer. Recommended by Ford Country as they were swamped with transmission work for at least 3 months. Mark diagnosed my issues, transmission essentially destroyed, and got me quotes for replacements from the manufacturer as well as aftermarket vendors. Even found a reputable shop to rebuild my transmission at almost 20% discount off of a new one with a warranty no less. And turn around time was literally 5 days from the time it was removed from my truck and work began on the rebuild. Very honest with me and explained every aspect of the work in detail. This is the worst ship I have ever dealt with. They do not follow up with you on anything. They leave you in the dark. I dropped my vehicle off with them on a Friday morning the first time for a check engine light. They didn't call me all day to inform me of what was going on with my truck. I called them Friday afternoon and they told me they were still looking at it and would follow up with me in a few minutes. They never did. I called them just before closing to get some information. They told me they were still working on it and would need to keep it through the weekend. They still never called me to let me know what was going on with my truck all day Monday. They ended up telling me there was a leak in my gas cap and charged me $40 to replace it along with the diagnostic fee, that they say goes towed the repairs (lies) and the labor fees. The check engine light came back on two weeks later for the same issue. I took it to another shop to have it diagnosed to see what was going on. They informed me it was the same issue I had previously. I took it back to this shop to have them fix the problem again. They ended up charging me for another diagnosis fee and tried getting me to pay for them to drop my fuel tank to look at the fuel pump. Needless to say I will never go to this shop again. They are the shadiest company I have dealt with so far. I would recommend you take your vehicle elsewhere! read more

Very rare to get the type of follow up service I got here. I had an oil cooler repaired that was leaking. At the time, they identified some smaller leaks that I was unprepared to get done. They completed the job. 2 months later, the oil cooler leaked again. Not only did they fix the oil cooler at NO CHARGE, they fixed the other ones at NO CHARGE because of the inconvenience! The "loss of coolant" warning in our 2006 Silverado and a local recommendation led us to Elite. They have a shop that accommodates high profile vehicles so our cabover camper was an easy fit. We were passing through town and the technicians applied themselves to diagnosing our problem and fixing it quickly, as if they were the ones who were on vacation and eager to travel.
