That gets each of you 18 holes of golf and there's something for everyone: young, old, beginner, and advanced. SERVICE We were helped by a couple of ladies and both seemed friendly. They tend to what looked like plants they sell in the clubhouse as well as a small ice cream freezer (which starts at $4 a bar I believe). === 4. I'd been hearing about axe throwing being the cool new thing and my partner was ecstatic as this reminds him of his childhood growing up in the woods. I was even happier to find that prices are reasonable, but slightly concerned I might chop off a toe. I really wanted to try this so I made my partner make reservations ahead of time (I did see quite a few people who tried to walk in turned away). The place is a teeny bit hidden inside a non descript building, but when you first walk in you can see it thru the glass window. We came by a little early and were able to get started early. It's kind of like bowling where you get your own lane and choose your own axe. I was happy to find that they had both bathrooms and wifi available. We received some instruction and coaching throughout our visit. Throwing an axe the exact right way to get it to stick into the wall is tricky. It is certainly something I still need to master, but I was over joyed when I finally got some picture worthy throws near the bulls eye. My partner thinks he is pretty good and is considering joining a league in the future. Even though we don't live in the area the employees were helpful and provided us info about the different kind of leagues and what we could expect if we joined one. I'd definitely check this out again and would even consider it somewhat of a work out.

It seemed simple enough, but there is totally a learning curve!!! Luckily for us, Axe and Grind has people there to coach us through the learning part so we could actually enjoy ourselves by sibling an axe into the target. This made a difference because they don't just send you off to throw axes randomly at wood boards. They explain how to do it, show you how to do it, watch you do it, then help you make adjustments until it starts clicking for you. Once it starts to click, then they teach you how to play the axe throwing game (I.e. what the red lead and blue dots mean and how to score). Once we got the hang out it, the games was super fun!! We even practiced doing the one handed throw. It was appprox. $22 per a person after tax for one hour. But you only need an hour. Lol. Any longer and your arms might hurt!! Usually, you share one lane for 2-4 people. Just like bowling, except with axes. It's like bowling and archery mixed into one game!!! It is hidden so you have to search a bit for the sign to find the location downtown. You also have to find street parking, which is a bummer. But you can always walk around to get your money of parking worth. I heard they get busier at night so we went in the late afternoon before dinner and the night crowd. We got a lane for each of us individually after having to share 2 lanes for 3 people. So was fun and not crowded for us. Def recommend. Something unique and fun to do with your friends and family!! Just remember to wear opened toe shoes. If you don't, they have crocs that you can borrow, but it requires you to wear shoes that strangers have worn before. I suppose nothing diff that bowling shoes, but if you can remember, wear closed toed shoes!

This review is specifically for the pool(s). The facilities are really good, although the changing…read moreroom/showers are fairly primitive. The salt water pools are both nice--a good sized lap pool and a warmer leisure for water walking and kid fun, as well as a river for floating and relaxing. There is also a giant water slide. The downside is the management of the pools, or lack thereof. Don't expect rules to be enforced, especially in summer, when the lifeguards are almost exclusively teenagers. Kids play in the lap lanes, which disappear with little regard to the schedule. I saw a child dive into the shallow end of the kids' pool and not one of the three lifeguards said anything or perhaps even noticed. Usually there's only one swim lane during aquafit, even if the class is sparsely attended. If you want equipment--water weights, for instance--you often have to hunt down someone to get them for you from a back room. Most gyms I've been to have that equipment readily available. During aquafit classes, the music is so loud that the people in the water often can't hear the instructor, and the instructors are already miked. The volume is headache-inducing at times. Additionally, the music itself is generally very bad. In the morning, it's the same hits of the 70s on a loop ("American Pie" every morning gets old quickly) and in the evenings it's even worse. Little effort seems to go into matching what people in the aquafit classes might enjoy--it's just typical aerobics music, with no imagination or common sense put into the song choice, given that the majority of the people in the classes are 65-plus. (Pre-1960 music actually had a beat--people jitterbugged to it!) I mention music because it's loud, there's no escaping it, and having contemporary country (for example) blaring in your ear isn't always what you want when you're trying to unwind after a long day.
