We booked Toast Tours last minute after we had to shift some plans due to the weather and it was the best decision! We had a group of 10 for a bachelorette party and immediately upon meeting our driver, Jennifer, we knew it was going to be a great day. She started with giving us some info about Paso and the wineries we'd be visiting, and then helped us connect our music and get our party started. At each winery she checked us in and escorted us to our area to start our tastings. She was even our own personal photographer, scoping out good picture ops the whole day. The rain picked up at one point and the owner even drove to the winery we were at to drop off umbrellas for everyone! I started planning a 70th birthday celebration with Tina about a year in advance. Tina was enthusiastic and brimming with suggestions about how to make our tours successful. Our group of eleven spent one day tasting at wineries in Paso Robles and a second day with a visit to Hearst Castle, lunch in Cambria, a stop on the return at another winery and then ended our day at a distillery tasting in Tin City. Lars, Tina's husband, was our guide and driver. He is extremely knowledgeable about wines in general and local wineries in particular. He is also really personable with a great sense of humor. Starting with a tour at Hearst Castle, followed by tastings at 3 wineries, and a delicious lunch. If you are checking reviews and wondering if you should book with Toast Tours, I am here to tell you "yes, do it". I googled and searched a lot before booking my sister's bachelorette weekend with Toast Tours, reached out to 3 other companies for quotes and Kristina gave us the best response and price for a private tour on a Friday to 3 amazing vineyards. She made suggestions and worked out an itinerary for us at no additional charge, when other companies do charge for that. The communication with her leading up to the date was prompt and friendly and the information was presented in an organized way that all I needed to do after that was copy and paste to the group chat. My sister, the bride, suffers from Celiac Disease and Lars and Kristina organized a special lunch for my sister from a 100% gluten free bakery to make sure she didn't get sick on her special weekend. That really touched my heart, these are truly lovely people that go above and beyond to just be nice and make sure everyone is taken care of. On the day of, I had accidentally given the wrong address of where we were staying which was over a mile away but Lars was like "not a problem, be there in a few minutes!" he was pure gold the whole day, explaining Paso culture and history, talking about his family, the wine, the area, everything. The most pleasant and cheerful guide. We started the day at Eberle doing a VIP wine tasting in the caves, then had our picnic lunch at Pear Valley, and finished at Calcareous Vineyard.
