I've been coming to Toasted Monkey since January 2022 during my first college visit, and it has always been an amazing experience. The vibes are great, the food is consistently good, and the beach breeze makes it such a fun spot to visit. While they were closed for a few months due to the hurricane, I was so glad to come back once they reopened and were fully restored.

Come for the views, be blown away by the food. We had a lovely Sunday upstairs watching the world go by while enjoying the wonderful Asian lettuce wraps. The sauce was yummy and I'm regretting not getting a second order. Service was wonderful! Excited to go back.

Annika and Heidi are AMAZING, informative, fun, and overall easy going. Food is so good. This is a laid back beach bar. Don't come here and b1t€h because they don't have valet parking and caviar. I could've spent my whole day with these lady's at the wonder spot with the best views!!

Great location and the food was also good. We stopped in to watch a college basketball game outside while listening to live music. Great vibe and service and I love that I could take my dog as well!

Food- honestly a pretty good amount of seafood. Was a little nervous to try since there was no photos on yelp of this but was pleasantly surprised with how much seafood is on it. It didn't mention Parmesan on the menu so that was also a pleasant surprise. It was good just not excellent but it is a bar so don't expect crazy restaurant experience Service- nice waitress but nothing super attentive to add to the experience Ambiance-cute, went on a weeknight and it was a bit of an older crowd but think it'd be great for families even. Sit on the second floor if you don't want too loud or music Parking- EASY BUT I got there around 630pm on a weeknight. Likely a lot more difficult on the weekend. Parking on street apparently free after 8pm but they do also have two lots.

I had a great experience at Toasted Monkey while on vacation. The food was very delicious (especially the fried pickles). The staff was very fun and welcoming. I loved the live music, the vibes were overall very high!

Nice place for drinks and food. This has the look and feel of a locals place, and the view of the water is really nice. Went in on a Tuesday and heard some nice music playing and enjoyed some great drinks and food. Had the peel and eat shrimp, and to my delight, the shrimp were deveined and very easy to peel. Wife ordered majo majo tacos with firecracker sauce, and she enjoyed them. Margarita and painkiller drinks were in order, and both were made top notch.

This place had cool open seating outside and live music. Staff was super friendly. Menu had an extensive variety. Service was also quick. Zucchini fries and marinara were divinely delicious and the thai crunch bowl had such good crispy chicken on it. Amazing. My friend got the quesadilla and enjoyed it and we both loved the mac and cheese.

Great little spot for dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating with several bar areas and love music. This place got packed really early,, but we were able to get a table upstairs after a short wait. The food was really good, we all enjoyed our meals (I got tacos as usual). Only complaint I have is that as I was reaching over the table to grab a zucchini fritter from my dining partner, the assistant server came up and set my food down underneath my arm, to avoid hitting his arm I ended up dropping the fritter (onto my purse, loaded with marinara sauce) and knocking my drink all over the table. He just walked away without acknowledging anything and I was really annoyed but did not say anything to my server...not her fault, she was GREAT. Her name was Anika I believe. We ordered what I call fru-fru (sweet) alcoholic beverages, and they were kind of weak. The live entertainment was pretty good and there was a massive crowd having a great time. They played 80's rock music. Parking can be a challenge on the weekends. We parking about two blocks away in a hotel lot, it was about $18 for 4 hours.

I love this place!!!! It's very simple but the food is excellent, Jennah is the best bartender ever. She is attentive, fast, funny, and a hard worker! i highly recommend the cuban, the bread is to die for. i don't like shrimp but jennah put me on the peel & eat shrimp. we spent a lot of time of here in a short span of 5 days and i will be telling my friends about this spot if they come to st pete!!! vibe is chill and cozy! mix of a outside dive bar with a vacation spot!! thanks jennah and kitchen staff!!!

Lots of snacks to pair with their wines

We came here one night for drinks and after seeing the menu knew we had to come back for a meal. The food looked so amazing and it was very hard to choose which option to go with. For the app we had the crab Rangoon dip and the Midwesterner in me was missing my cheese so we also had the Wisconsin cheese curds. The cheese curds were pretty classic and the Parmesan cheese on top added a nice twist. The crab dip... I'm drooling just thinking about it. If you like crab you need to get that app. For the meal, I had the Surf and Turf with coconut shrimp. Sweet Mary was I glad I did. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection and the coconut shrimp with spicy Thai sauce was so good. The shrimp had the perfect crunch while the shrimp themselves were tender. They also have a wide variety of drinks and beers which was nice to try some new things. I do also want to do a shout out to Robert who was our waiter. He was phenomenal! Orders perfectly taken, he was polite yet had some fun and laughs with us, and was very patient when a couple people in our group were "picky" eaters. While he had several tables he was serving he was always right there if he noticed our waters or drinks being close to empty. Food will make people talk, but food and service will bring people back. The food was top notch and the service was some of the best in town. I'll admit, we were hungry and I forgot pictures of the actual food... the desserts (S'Mores Brownie Sundae and the Key Like Pie) were also amazing.

There was a section with some toys to entertain kids which was a nice touch! Service was good and it wasn't super busy when we got there as it was after the lunch rush. Our table ordered a lot of different dishes. We got the bang bang shrimp, which was delicious and probably the highlight of the meal. I got a lobster roll with fries for my entree and it was okay. There was a ton of lettuce on it, which I was not a fan of and the bun split very easily. I ended up just eating the lobster straight off the plate. Definitely not worth the price in my opinion. I'd go with something else. My girlfriend got the Lobster Alfredo and it was not good. The pasta was super doughy and overcooked. The Alfredo sauce itself didn't have a lot flavor either. The whole thing was just not good and once again not worth the price. Our niece got butter noodles and they were the same way. Overcooked and tasted like they'd been sitting in water or something. She didn't eat it. I would skip the pasta entrees. The other item we were disappointed with was the Crab Rangoon dip. It had a fishy tang to it that we weren't a fan of. Someone in our group got the tacos for taco Tuesday and said they were good. Chicken tenders were also yummy. Overall, we had an okay experience. If we came back, we'd go with different items on the menu for sure.

Well-versed on the menu and a very pleasant lady. It's certainly not a fancy place and it looks like it's been around for a while, but it's the kind of place where you might like to hang out at the bar. Everyone there seems to be friendly and you get that comfortable feeling. We had a variety of food items, some better than others but nothing below average. Really good salads, as you can see by the pictures, a nice job on the chicken wings, a BLT that was pretty tasty; the butternut squash soup was OK, pretty thick and not hot at all. One was returned to the kitchen to be heated up. There was a chicken dip that really didn't hit the spot, and the tortilla chips that came with it seem to be past their prime. As for the fried mushrooms. I found them pretty much ordinary. A nice surprise were the brussels sprouts with balsamic and goat cheese. Really really good. Overall, I would give the food about a 3 1/2 stars at the service five stars so what averages out around four stars. Like I said it looks like a nice place to hang around and have a couple of beverages and a little something to eat.
