I was in town for a conference and stumbled across this spot, and I'm glad I did. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional while still feeling genuine and personable. You can tell they really care about their customers. I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was delicious. They also have a great selection of smoothies, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and salads. One of my favorite things was watching the staff greet regulars by name as they came in. It's obvious this is a place the locals love and keep coming back to. I had a great experience at the downtown Toasters. I stopped in after walking over from the convention center and picked up two fabulous sandwiches. The first was the Caprese which was delicious and the second was the Italian which was equally good. The service was friendly and efficient given the sandwiches are made to order. This place is so adorable both inside and out! Such a cute building!! My husband and I met our friends here on Saturday morning. There were other people but it wasn't too busy. Our drinks and food came out quickly. The coffee was good. My friends enjoyed their ice lattes. They are a Pepsi establishment, but I didn't mind because not only did they have fountain drinks but they had cans too and I don't mind a can of Diet Pepsi. The gentlemen working at the counter gave us good suggestions and was clearly passionate about his work. My friends got the pork belly burrito and bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Both were great. My husband got the burnt ends breakfast burrito and loved it. I had the Caprese sandwich on ciabatta and thought it was wonderful. I really enjoyed the balsamic! Popped in here for lunch during a conference, yummy food but honestly expensive for what you get. Limited seating, some indoor and some outdoor. Sandwiches are massive and chips are built in to the price (which is a tad annoying as someone who wouldn't normally add on chips to my meal otherwise). For two people with two drinks, two sandwiches, lunch was $50. That being said, big serving size and yummy food. Good option to come and split a sandwich with your friend. The resturant is a small sandwich shop located across the street from the Salt Lake Conference Center. You are greeted by the staff upon entering and has a warm cozy atmosphere. You are hit by the different food prepared and warms you up, especially on a cold winter day. The restaurant is well maintained and as an added touch, the original wood floors adds a nice touch. The menu is wide ranging and offers both breakfast and lunch items. The sandwiches are well prepared and nice sized proportions. Each sandwich comes with chips and drink. The prices are well within average for downtown SLC. I decided to try Toasters based on relative's recommendation and was not disappointed! I decided to stop by the local SLC chain Toasters to give it a try. Now I have to say I am a big fan of Bagels with Lox. I definitely know some great local spots so I wanted to give them a comparison to another city. Unfortunately it left me a bit disappointed. The bagel, cream cheese and the Lox were a bit sparse in terms of lacking the typical thickness. The flavors for the overall sandwich were there, they just could've been a lot better. I do have to say that it does get quite a breakfast rush too so if you plan on going you should go early. If you go to Toasters I'd recommend the breakfast burritos because those looked amazing! It definitely made me regret my decision when I saw people getting their Burrito orders. read more

This was my first Toasters experience. I was looking for a breakfast sandwich and ChatGPT suggested Toasters so I gave it a try. I got the English Muffin sandwich, "Canadian bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese on an English muffin," and was expecting something pretty great for $10.50. It was woefully disappointing. It was small. The sandwich was assembled in about a minute like an airport chain restaurant. The muffin was not toasted or buttered on the inside and became gummy. The egg was not cooked to order. The "Canadian bacon" was mediocre. I liked the ambiance, and the person who helped me was lively, but this sandwich was not. This is about the worst price-to-quality ratio you could get for a breakfast sandwich. read more

Not the same menu I wanted a Mediterranean breakfast burrito they don't come with the home fries or potatoes and when I asked if they did, they had attitude not as friendly as the Millcreek place. I would definitely go to the Millcreek place if I ever go again. Ask for more salsa and they said if you want one more and gave me one like it was gold. I just tasted my Mediterranean breakfast burrito and I must say the one in Millcreek is 10 times better. This one is soggy not as flavorful. Maybe If we had of ate inside the food would have tasted better than what it did. We ordered the Turkey Breast Sandwich with Mixed Green Salad on the side. I got a large black coffee as well. The coffee was surprising pretty good considering it was 80 degrees outside, and was around 2:30pm. I think most people probably would have ordered an Iced Coffee at that time of day. The sandwich not so much. The turkey was paper thin, like the budget kind you get at walmart. The cheese reminded me of velveta except it was white in color. They used balsamic vinegar to spread on the bread instead of mayonnaise or even butter. This wasn't explained when I placed the order over the phone, or I would have said not to apply it, it kinda made the bread mushy where the vinegar was applied. I ended up feeding the cheese and the turkey to my dog and just ate the bread with the lettuce and tomato. We both couldn't eat the greens they were wilty, I don't know why. Maybe we will give Toasters another chance when we can actually go inside, and enjoy our meal, but this take out was a no go. This is a cool spot to check out if you happen to be going to an event at the Convention Center. I was looking for some coffee and stumbled upon this place by accident. I had no idea what to expect before walking inside, but I am glad I found this place. They have an assortment of pastries, espresso drinks, sandwiches, etc. Just an all around good place to grab a bite. I ordered a mocha when I was here, and it hit the spot. The staff is friendly and attentive. The shop itself is not the biggest, but there is room for a group of 4 to 6. There is a couch as well for lounging which is a nice touch as well.
