What a great way to start my day with some fresh coffee and a lovely omelette while listening to Beck and MGMT in the early morning. They have a super cool team of people behind the counter, getting the job done while having a good time and spreading nice vibes for the day. My omelette was delicious. The coffee was pretty good. They make a good chipotle burger, but if you order pickup online through their website don't expect it to be done by the requested time. Today they didn't even start mine until I got there - 7 minutes after the requested pickup time. Prepaid online and it was not busy. I am always wary when ordering lettuce wrapped sandwiches. Usually it ends up a big mess. Not here at Knickerbockers! You can see that my Tarragon Chicken Salad was wrapped beautifully! The ingredients in both my wrap and my basil chicken salad were really fresh and crisp! Chicken salad is my "go to" for sandwiches. That is why my rating is 4 stars vs 5. I didn't really care for their version of chicken salad. Which is a shame because it was beautiful! I found that both the chicken salad and the broccoli cheddar soup were lacking seasoning (salt and pepper). I am just glad I had that pickle to put into my wrap! It helped with the flavor a lot. The Basil Chicken salad was definitely 5 stars! I don't care for black olives, so I got it without those. I was surprised how flavorful this salad was. I haven't eaten blue cheese in a long time, and it was really a welcome burst of flavor. Everything in this salad just worked for me! Plus, I can't believe this was only a half order! I think I could order just a full order of this next time and would be completely satisfied! I actually didn't end up eating this until dinner time because this was a lot of food. We arrived and be prepared for it to be a little confusing on exactly where the deli is. But once you park, go in the building, take a left through the double doors and it's upstairs. I got the hot chicken sandwich and oh my goodness was it good! There's a lot going on in it but all the flavors go well with each other. There's the shredded chicken, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, cheese and pesto, as well as fresh basil leaves! This was a delight to eat. It comes with a pickle wedge and a cookie. I was staying at the Marriott next door and decided to visit here for a quick bite. Ordered the BLT and soup combo. Price is very reasonable and the sandwich is freshly prepared. It provides a good alternative to the restaurants at the Marriott and the subway close by. They have menu items for multiple entry points( refer to poor student menu,lol) and no frill no thrill service will ensure you are in and out. Sandwich was good, but soup was a bit salty for me. I'm a little on the fence with this place. Still trying to decide if I like it enough to go back, the app "PocketPoints" is very enticing and they've got some great deals, which I why I came here in the first place. Our entire meal came out to be $16 (and that was with a coupon for buy one get one half off) Here's my review: My sandwich was fine, it was pretty big but just didn't have a ton of yummy flavor to me. I don't know what it was, but I felt it was a little bland. On the bright side, it came with a pickle spear and a cookie which was awesome. The cookie was like a caramel one? I wish they would've told me what I was getting, or maybe have a few options every day so I could choose which dessert I wanted to end with, as caramel isn't my absolute favorite but I can't complain too much when it comes to baked goods. I tried a bite of The Godfatha' and it had a lot more flavor but was pretty spicy. I liked my one bite, but I definitely couldn't have eaten the entire thing. Our chips and salsa was just your average chips and salsa. Homemade, but nothing incredible. They put it in little containers and gave us about 4, kind of a little interesting. And the chips were literally just dumped into a to go container from a bag they probably bought from Walmart. There are plenty of other choices, sandwiches, salads, burgers, chips, candy bars, etc. so give it a shot if you're on campus and hungry. As for me, I think I got to stick with something a little cheaper.. TIPS & TRICKS: * Closes around 3pm, so make sure you're planning lunch and not dinner! * Apparently they don't allow refills on your soda, so make sure you drink sparingly. * There are some crackers near the forks and straws and stuff, great little snacks to grab and hide in your jacket pockets for later. read more

There was a new guy trying his best to do the coffee and it was awful. When I expressed it wasn't right to Chance he was so kind and offered to redo it. He had a great attitude and taught the other employee how make it. He asked if I liked it and if there was anything else that he could improve on it. Chance has spectacular customer service and should be recognized for it! We could use more employees like Chance! Thank you for taking the time to make it right. Sometimes coffee is all I get in a busy 12 hour icu shift so I need it to be good! read more

It's a pretty good deli: service is very friendly and reasonably fast, and the food is decent. Big props for having some solid vegan offerings. My biggest complaint -- besides the fact that the deli is impossible to find unless you ask someone who works nearby -- is that the vegan offerings typically involve leaving out key ingredients. The vegan zucchini philly, for instance, calls for leaving out cheese and mayo. In 2022, it isn't hard to find plant-based cheese and vegan mayonnaise; just charge a buck extra if you need to. On the whole, though, it's a nice place to eat if you're in the area. read more

Everything I've had here has been delicious. They have cold and hot sandwiches, salads, burgers, soups, and daily specials which means you can come often and not be bored. Their mushroom swiss burger is super juicy and absolutely delicious. Its not a basic burger either it has perfectly toasted bread and a really well seasoned patty. They also have amazing waffle fries. I would come here all the time if I wasn't a poor grad student. The only con is the wait. If you came around the noon hour expect to wait 30+ minutes for your order. The pick up process can also be disorganized with the cooks handling so many orders at a time (in person/online/catering). Despite that this a fantastic area to stop and get a delicious lunch. read more

Wow!! For years my coworkers and I have talked about walking down to this deli for lunch and finally we did it! I'm not sure why we've been going to subway this whole time in research park with knickerbockers is the exact same distance. It's a cute deli with minimal seating (maybe because of Covid) that has an extensive menu full of salads, sandwiches and the one or two soups thrown in. What I appreciate the most is that they have an entire vegetarian/vegan section of their menu and it's not just your run of the mill veggie sandwiches. I got the zucchini Philly that came with zucchini, roasted red bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions and had some amazing provolone melted on top. It comes with a pickle and cookie. I opted to add in a half order of fresh cut fries. Wow! This hit the spot on the first truly cold day of the year. The fries were perfect as was the sandwich. There were no dry sections of the sandwich and the bread was perfectly toasted. My friend's salad looked amazing as well! They have half and full salads and wow their portions are more than generous!
