    Scotts south of the boarder
    Quin B.

Toasty Cheese is a food truck that participated in one of our community events. I ordered Scott's south of the bordar sandwich which took a few minutes to prepare. I took it straight home to devour. This sandwich hit the spot alright. The bread was buttery and toasted just right. The chipotle chicken gave it some weight and a slight smokey sweetness. The poblanos, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions, and guacamole aioli all blended together perfectly for one heck of a delicious sandwich. "I'll have another", is what my mind keeps insisting on. Someday soon we shall meet again Toasty Cheese.

This was their food truck at Pollyanna in Roselle. I was so excited when I saw their truck pull up. Awesome sandwich but the price was absurd. $24 for a grilled cheese sandwich!? I remember these being about $12 each. I should have known something was up when they had no prices on the menu. I'll miss their sandwiches because at that price, it isn't worth it to me anymore.

    Michaelangelo with fries!

We really enjoyed this sandwich! It was very cheesy but not overly cheesy! The Michealangelo is a panini that has provolone, Italian beef, poblano peppers, giardiniera, and honey! Might be spicy for some but the cheese and honey really balance this sandwich! The fries were piping hot and lightly seasoned. Service was good and quick. Food was served wrapped and in a brown paper bag with everything we needed. Check it out for yourself!!

We stumbled upon this food truck and decided to give it a try. The order taker was polite and able to answer all of our questions about the food. He had a friendly demeanor and provided great service. The grilled cheese and cheese curds that we ordered were fresh. I honestly haven't been to restaurants even where the food was as hot as it was here. The sandwich was so piping hot it took a good 7 minutes for it to be able to be handled... this to me is a great thing! While pricy, the portion sizes are ample to share! It's definitely filling heavy food so bring a friend and visit this truck!

Curds and a Italian beef cheese

I was at a picnic and they got this food truck. So I had a Italian beef grill cheese. (Don't remember the name ). Boy was it fantastic. The beef had outstanding flavor and the whole sandwich was made to perfection. I also had an order of cheese curds. Wish they had not left so fast I wanted the donuts. But I am sure they had a time limit. There was a larger crowd so it did take a few minutes to get the sandwich. But probably no longer then any where that makes fresh food.

We've heard about this place but kept missing them. They were recently at Plank Road Tap room so we finally had our chance. We had high hopes and worried that our expectations were too high for a food truck. We typically find ourselves disappointed but we braved the rain and went for it. Service was good and the food came in less than 5 minutes. We ordered the Scott's South of the Border, the Michaelangelo and the loaded fries. The Michaelangelo is an Italian beef meets grilled cheese and was excellent. The South of the boarder had chicken and was even better. The loaded fries we almost didn't order which would have been a huge mistake. They were easily the best loaded fries I can remember having. There was a Merkts port wine flavor (I think) that was outstanding. Great place so if they end up coming to a spot near you, run!

I ordered the chicken, and this sandwich and fries were amazing. I must try the other selections

My husband and I were…read moreincredibly hungry and decided to get lunch from this truck because it had options (meat and veggies) for both of us and didn't have a ridiculously long line. We waited thirty minutes on a cold, windy day from the time we stepped in line to when we got our food. We also had to wait a bit longer because the wind kept blowing out the pilot light in the truck, which is essential for cooking. The Calle Wagon people were super nice about it, though. We didn't want to stay any longer so we got our food to go and were home in less than ten minutes. My husband ordered a beef burrito and I had the Mediterranean quesadilla. According to my husband, the burrito was hot and good, but disappointedly small. My [surprisingly huge!!] quesadilla seemed more like a pita sandwich than a quesadilla to me. And it wasn't warm at all. It tasted ok. My appetite wasn't quenched. I was completely bummed. Calle Wagon didn't satisfy (especially after a long wait and a $15 bill). I wavered between giving them two or three stars for my disappointing meal. I really hate giving a food truck with good service such a low rating, but we were pretty unhappy with our meals. Sorry, Calle Wagon.

Visited this food truck at Bartlett Heritage Days over this past weekend. Pretty yummy!…read more I ordered the Two Taco Combo. If I recall correctly - one taco is $4. The Combo includes two tacos (mix and match), a side, and a drink. Now, I don't claim to be good at math but I say the Combo is a better deal. :) You have your choice of a more mild, sweet salsa and a hot salsa. Nothing in between. Wish there was for someone like me... I know everyone's interpretation of "hot" is different so the hot salsa that I choose could very well have been mild in someone else's eyes. My side of choice was the cilantro lime rice. It was good - although there were bigger pieces of cilantro in there (dime size) that isn't too appetizing-looking when it is all wilted buried in some rice... Portion size was decent. Left nice and satisfied. I would definitely seek this food truck out again.
