It's tucked in an industrial park area, but there's plenty of parking and the service is just as warm and welcoming as their other location in Morton Grove! There's even a picnic table outside for anyone wanting to enjoy their hot empanadas right then and there. They offer a well priced lunch special that's $16 for 2 empanadas, 2 sauces, a side, and a drink! It's a great deal! I got several empanadas - Butter chicken which tastes just a delicious plate of homemade butter chicken wrapped in a flaky baked crust. It's not spicy, but spiced well for all the flavors! Philly Cheesesteak our family favorite. Cheesesteak in an easy to hold flaky crust. I kinda wish there was a little more cheese, but they don't skimp on the meat! Chicken pot pie, another tasty empanada. They top it with a sprinkle of fresh rosemary which isn't quite a favorite for our family, but it's pretty easy to remove most of it. It has all the fixings and flavorings of a warm, comforting pot pie! Mac and cheese - who would have imagined it could be an empanada, but it is and it's tasty. My son loves this because he really loves Mac n cheese and loves the empanada crusts. I got the elote as a side which is buttery and salty, a good side to accompany the meal. Fresh corn that crunched which made us happy. I also got the longonisa fried rice! If you never had longinisa, it's a must try. Imagine it to be similar to Chinese sausage, but less cured and just delicately seasoned. Everything about this fried rice made me wish I had more. I'll be returning to pick up some frozen take and bake so we will have them handy whenever the craving hits.

Their website states this as well. They have an online ordering system which I utilized and it was easy to navigate. My order was ready at the provided ETA too. I had the Argentina beef empanada and also the Ube horchata. The empanada is wildly delicious. Very flavorful. The crust is fluffy and crispy at the same time. The beef itself is seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had it with chimichurri sauce and it went well with it. The Ube horchata was meh for me. I wanted to try it though and I'm glad I did. Just isn't for me. I'll save room for more empanadas next time.

Chicken tenders were pretty decent, moist and flavorful. It tasted good with the homemade devine sauce and garlic aoli. Fried green tomatoes were very fresh and tasty. Cornbread fritters were okay. There was an iota amount of fried onions at the bottom. I didn't taste much. For $16, the portion amount could have been a bit more. I would have liked to see a sampler that includes a sandwich and a couple sides of your choosing. Service was friendly.

You can get a fried or grilled chicken sandwich, meatloaf sandwich, or pulled pork sandwich. I chose to get the soul food split which includes the choice of a meat, 2 sides, and 2 cornbread fritters. My choices were the meatloaf with green beans, homestyle potatoes, and included 2 cornbread fritters. The flavor of the meatloaf was to die for! I really enjoyed it with the grilled onions! The cornbread fritters were also moist and flavorful. Ill be back for more! I like how they make their own rubs and you can even choose which rub you want on grilled chicken. I want to try that next time! I will definitely be back to try more food when Aunt Tina's is near my neighborhood, heck...I'd even travel for this food!

The food is bold, smoky, and clearly made with care -- not rushed, not overthought, just done right. It's the best around, plain and simple. What really sets it apart, though, is the heart behind it. The owner is local, invested, and it shows in everything from the food to the atmosphere. There's a genuine sense that this place was built with pride -- and that kind of thing is hard to fake.

I wanted a brisket sandwich, but they only sell sliders. I'm not a fan of sliders, but it was served as one regular sandwich. I also ordered mac n cheese and cole slaw. The total was $23. After paying, the nice lady said that she could bring my order when it is ready because it was a little chilly outside. Lest than 10 minutes later my order was brought out to my car. The bag had some weight to it. I dug right in and ate right there in my car. I didn't care for the flavor of the brisket sandwich bread. However, the brisket flavor was phenomenal, so savory, and was tender as well. There was more salt than I preferred but not too much to ruin it. It's hard to find good bbq in this area, especially with me being from Texas. In contrast the mac n cheese needed a little help with some salt. Otherwise it hit the spot. The cole slaw tasted good and was more on the sweet side. The meal was far from perfect but I was satisfied.
