Best Truckin' BBQ came to my work for the first time today, and even though I don't really care for BBQ food, I thought I'd give it a shot. After browsing their menu items, (all cleverly named) I decided to try the Expressway mini pretzel slider (BBQ pulled chicken sandwich with their special BBQ sauce. It's also topped with cilantro lime slaw) and two sides; Jackknife (pepper jack mac and cheese with roasted red peppers, green chiles and crunchy baked top) and Over The Road (spicy orzo and black beans served with fresh veggies and feta cheese). The sandwich was pretty dang good, for a mini slider. The chicken had good flavor and I enjoyed the slaw even though I didn't detect any cilantro or lime notes in it. I think the bbq sauce may have overpowered it. The jackknife? Nothing short of amazing. I could eat this stuff all day long! The pepper jack cheese was creamy and I loved the incorporation of the red peppers and green chiles. Finally the Over The Road was really good as well, though there was a bit more feta cheese on it than I would have liked. I'm looking forward to trying the "Speeding Tickets" next time they come around.

Tried to order food from the truck in Schaumburg now and was denied. Was told the tablet isn't working, I informed them I have cash. Apparently you need a tablet to take cash and make food?!?! Horrible customer service. Should have taken the cash (had exact amount) and made the food. It's 2017 and unfortunately social media is great to spread the word about negative experiences. Give your employees some lessons in customer service!

Was able to try this place out at the Food Truck Extravaganza event. The line was quite long, my group waited a hour or so however it was worth the wait. Ordered the Speeding Ticket and the Spare Tires. Both sliders were very good however I would have to say that the Spare Tire came out on top for me. The Pork in the Spare Tire with the Spiced Pomegranate sauce was very good! The tang from the sauce worked well with the sweetness of the BBQ pork. The only thing I wish was that the Pork and Chicken were hot when they were given to us. I would come back to try some of their other items on the menu.

    Yummy pulled pork nachos!

Just tried their pulled pork slider and chicken slider. The meats were yummy but the buns we're woefully dry. What a disappointment.

Went to Fuel where they had Best Truckin' (food truck). It was MEH. It tasted about as good as a frozen BBQ dinner. Won't go back.

The food is awesome. The pulled pork was so tender. We also really liked the cilantro and lime coleslaw

My husband and I were…read moreincredibly hungry and decided to get lunch from this truck because it had options (meat and veggies) for both of us and didn't have a ridiculously long line. We waited thirty minutes on a cold, windy day from the time we stepped in line to when we got our food. We also had to wait a bit longer because the wind kept blowing out the pilot light in the truck, which is essential for cooking. The Calle Wagon people were super nice about it, though. We didn't want to stay any longer so we got our food to go and were home in less than ten minutes. My husband ordered a beef burrito and I had the Mediterranean quesadilla. According to my husband, the burrito was hot and good, but disappointedly small. My [surprisingly huge!!] quesadilla seemed more like a pita sandwich than a quesadilla to me. And it wasn't warm at all. It tasted ok. My appetite wasn't quenched. I was completely bummed. Calle Wagon didn't satisfy (especially after a long wait and a $15 bill). I wavered between giving them two or three stars for my disappointing meal. I really hate giving a food truck with good service such a low rating, but we were pretty unhappy with our meals. Sorry, Calle Wagon.

Visited this food truck at Bartlett Heritage Days over this past weekend. Pretty yummy!…read more I ordered the Two Taco Combo. If I recall correctly - one taco is $4. The Combo includes two tacos (mix and match), a side, and a drink. Now, I don't claim to be good at math but I say the Combo is a better deal. :) You have your choice of a more mild, sweet salsa and a hot salsa. Nothing in between. Wish there was for someone like me... I know everyone's interpretation of "hot" is different so the hot salsa that I choose could very well have been mild in someone else's eyes. My side of choice was the cilantro lime rice. It was good - although there were bigger pieces of cilantro in there (dime size) that isn't too appetizing-looking when it is all wilted buried in some rice... Portion size was decent. Left nice and satisfied. I would definitely seek this food truck out again.

Chicken tenders were pretty decent, moist and flavorful. It tasted good with the homemade devine sauce and garlic aoli. Fried green tomatoes were very fresh and tasty. Cornbread fritters were okay. There was an iota amount of fried onions at the bottom. I didn't taste much. For $16, the portion amount could have been a bit more. I would have liked to see a sampler that includes a sandwich and a couple sides of your choosing. Service was friendly.

You can get a fried or grilled chicken sandwich, meatloaf sandwich, or pulled pork sandwich. I chose to get the soul food split which includes the choice of a meat, 2 sides, and 2 cornbread fritters. My choices were the meatloaf with green beans, homestyle potatoes, and included 2 cornbread fritters. The flavor of the meatloaf was to die for! I really enjoyed it with the grilled onions! The cornbread fritters were also moist and flavorful. Ill be back for more! I like how they make their own rubs and you can even choose which rub you want on grilled chicken. I want to try that next time! I will definitely be back to try more food when Aunt Tina's is near my neighborhood, heck...I'd even travel for this food!

The disappointment was the number of trucks. There were about seven or eight. Four or five of them had food, one had drinks, two had desserts. I had food from two of them - I had a pulled pork sandwich at the Best Truckin' BBQ and the three tacos combo at Mario's Cart. The food was good, but the waits were very long. I went to the BBQ cart early and didn't get my sandwich for 40 minutes. And, when I went to Mario's Cart a couple of hours later, even though I walked right up to the window, there were about 30 people waiting for theirs to be served. There were too few trucks for the number of people who showed. I later learned there was another Food Truck Festival in Elgin at the same time. I suppose that is where the rest of the trucks were. The great part of the fest was the band. Really, it was a separate event at the Palatine Bandshell, but it took place as soon as they closed the trucks. The band was called "Morry Sochat & The Special 20's" - they played a mixture of Blues Rock and Blues. I have to say they were really great. The musical talent on the stage was really wonderful. We went with a large group of friends and even ran into some people we knew while we were there. The music was great fun. The festival should/could have been better.
