Tobacco Cove is top notch, friendly staff, great atmosphere and a great selection. I don't believe you'll find better in Jacksonville.

Awesome and friendly place to lounge around while enjoying a stick or a bowl. The owner is really helpful and answered all of my questions I had about cigars and tobacco pipes. This place is the best. Best prices. Owner and patrons are friendly. Great cigar events. Down home mom and pop type place with a good group of folks to sit down, have a great conversation and smoke a great cigar at a great price with. Tom is great and his family is there with him. There are two locations for this place. East side of the Buckman and west side. I forget the streets. West side location was not helpful, at all and I felt like I was putting him out to wait on me and set down his smoke. Product selection of cigars was good though and prices are reasonable. The other location was a much better encounter. Better service, and a better selection it seemed. But maybe I was just in a better frame of mind? Either way, I would return to that one. Prices are very reasonable! Three stars because neither was a "wow me" experience. Completely utilitarian... went in, was waits on, and I left...satisfied with my purchases. read more

Tobacco Cove doesn't have the World's Largest Humidor, they don't serve alcohol, or food. This is a traditional tobacco shop with a great selection of cigars and pipe tobacco. They also have something that you can not find in a cigar bar. Knowledge of the products they sale. It is no wonder they have been in business for over 40 years and have a loyal customer base. read more

I have been to this location on and off for a few years. A lot less recently. They are very condescending people. The owner, Gus, won't even greet you , let alone show appreciation for your business. It's not a very welcoming atmosphere. I would much rather spend my money at tobacco cove West . I suggest the same to you. read more

I was pretty shocked at how rude Gus was! Not from Jax, (lived here years back), so haven't been there in awhile, and walked out the door thinking "it'll be a cold day in he** before i ever go back, there's just no need to be rude and snappy with folks!
