It's June Movement Month! And Giorgi Park is the halfway point on one of our walking routes with…read moreour pup, George. It's a lovely and well-maintained little park tucked into the neighborhood, just a few blocks from the Plaza. It boasts tennis courts (and lines for pickleball, thanks Mandy L for the intel), basketball courts, the rec baseball field (where the Prunepackers play too!), some picnic tables, a kids play structure, and a parking lot. We walk through regularly and enjoy seeing all of the activity going on. I've also used the grassy areas for strength workouts with friends. Thanks for this beautiful green space in our town!

I think my favorite part about this park is the tall redwood trees and the rose garden. Such a nice touch. The playground itself is nice. There's one for toddlers and another for older kids. The one for big kids was slightly dirty and run down. It also had a lot of spider webs. I also wish the playground had an enclosed gate but there are two huge openings. There's a lot of picnic tables, bbq pits, a bathroom and trash cans around. Plenty of shade for those hot summer days and parking in the residential neighborhood as well. I think they can do a better job at keeping the area clean -- that' was my biggest ick.

We stopped by here to have a quick picnic lunch and ended up staying for couple hours because the kids wanted to run around and climb the play structures for a long time. The entrance is like walking through a castle to a whole new world gated inside. It was clean, grassy, huge and open spaces with different areas to play for the kids. There are benches and picnic tables everywhere too. They also have restrooms on site too. Lots of grassy and shady areas to hang out as well. Our grandbaby had a great time running everywhere to her hearts content and she cannot wait to go back again with her parents.

And I do not say that lightly. As soon as you enter through the castle doors, you are transported into a mini Disneyland found in Vallejo, CA. As someone who was raised in this city, I did not expect this. This park truly Wow'd me for several reasons. One, the uniqueness of the play structures. There's a handful of them including a tea cup/ tea pot area, train station and train, pirate ship, pumpkin carriage and more. Our personal favorite; the tea cup with the connected slide, so fun!! My family and I easily spent two hours here. You can also book some spots for parties. I highly recommend checking out the GVRD's website. Theres shaded gazebos and many picnic tables. They even have story time and other events here. Theres a parking lot available and hours as well. They are closed on Tuesdays. 100 out of 10 recommend this park.

This is the cutest playground! One of the best we've been to recently…read more Getting there and finding it was interesting. I am not from the area. It's kind of hidden and tucked away next to a middle or elementary school. There's a small parking lot and a bathroom too. What sets this playground apart from others is - it makes me think of Disneyland! The way the structures were made, so fun, colorful and bright! Lots of interactive and sensory opportunities here too, including the instruments, shaded sand pits and more. I love how much shade there is. All parks should have this, but sadly they don't. Most of the area is gated. However, for the older kids, the gate was open to a busy street.. I didn't like that. There were also a lot of spider webs. I wonder if there's any regularly scheduled maintenance done here. If there isn't, that's something worth looking into. Other than that - 10 out of 10 great park!

It's relatively small, but is quaint and has a great treehouse feeling structure with two slides of different heights. There's also a sand box and a baby swing and a larger seat like swing with straps. This playground is definitely off the beaten path but if you happen to be in the area, it's cute and can provide quite a bit of entertainment for the 5 & under crowd (at least that's who was with me) honestly I am giving it 4 stars for the really cool construction of the tree house, but for what this park offers, it's more like a 3 star park because it's so small (my son got bored in 20 min) and there aren't bathrooms. Some other things to note: - there's only street parking, which isn't much of an issue in that area except for Sunday's which is when a church that's in front of the park holds services. - there's some llamas (or are they alpacas?) across the street that my son loved to look at. He never saw one before and kept moo-ing at them. Lol! - if you walk further down the street you can see Pacifica State Beach and catch a glimpse of the surfers trying to catch some waves.
