The second young lady takes the cup and removes about a third cup of ice cream and brings it back with a lid. I told her that if I had know she was going to remove some ice cream I would have taken it without a lid. She just turned to help the next customer. This is a gem in Stockton. I used to come here for their handmade ice cream, but since then, they've kept expanding. At one point they had Cuban food here too (totally unrelated and different owners) - but that's a different story. Now they sell food food, too, like waffles/pancakes and rice plates. This place may be easily missed, but look for colorful walls and next to a small liquor store. Recently, I've been coming for their fresadas and mangonadas. Man..they are so addicting!! $5 will get you a small and $8 for a large. They also sell dorrito-nachos. My favorite ice cream flavors are their guava and strawberry. They have a wide selection of homemade ice creams, ranging from normal strawberry to wild tequilla. But don't be fooled, my friend got the strawberry and it was amazing. The ice cream emphasized the fresh strawberries, with the cream further enhancing the flavors. My boyfriend paired the strawberry with lime, making a perfectly sweet and tangy combination. I went with a scoop of rose petal. It was so pretty, I just had to have it. The mango looked old and dark, I asked the worker if I could get it with fresh mango and she said yes. She went to the back and came back out a couple minutes later and just handed me the cup with pieces of mango. (I was hoping they would make me a new one). The sherbet they use is delicious but the quality of mango was bad.
