What followed was a string of contradictory explanations from Dr. Chao. First, we were told they were sent back and exchanged. Then she said they were completely dismantled and rebuilt in house. Then she claimed it was a new pair. Then she said it was "fixed again" by someone in the back. None of it added up, and it became obvious the glasses were never actually sent back, and the doctor was getting frazzled with her own honesty. During the same visit, the doctor repeatedly went back and forth about whether my son broke the glasses. First, saying they were too small from the start, then implying he broke them within two days. After about 30 minutes of back and forth and accusations, she suddenly ended by saying the glasses were found to be faulty. Really? The flip flopping was unreal. She then offered a "free even exchange" and told us to choose from the adult section. Once we did, she backtracked again and said we would have to pay the price difference. I reminded her that she had offered free glasses from the store, but she just nodded with a fake smile and said it would cost more because they were adult glasses and therefore more expensive. I told her it's not about the money, but it's about principle. It felt misleading and dishonest. In the end, it was clear this place cared more about a few extra dollars than keeping their word. I asked for a refund. It just wasn't worth all the drama. My neighbor had originally recommended this place simply because it is literally two minutes from our houses, and we actually laughed about it together yesterday because she said she felt the exact same vibe. This place feels sketchy and poorly run from the moment you walk in. The "doctor" Chao puts on an overly fake, performative friendliness that feels forced and juvenile, while the front desk staff looks disengaged and unhappy. Not a crack of a smile on their faces. The overall atmosphere is awkward and uncomfortable. Even my 10 year old noticed something was off. Unprofessional, cringeworthy, unreliable, and dishonest. Definitely not returning or recommending this place. It will be embarrassing to refer this place to anyone.

Speaking as a patient, Dr. Pham is hands down the best eye doctor I have ever seen. Her attention to every detail is unparalleled. She is beyond thorough. She takes all the time that my case needs to be addressed and does follow up visits to assess my progress and tweak the treatment til I achieve the best possible vision for me. I am a tough case because I had RK surgery in the late 80's. Another optometrist I saw recently incorrectly told me I was developing glaucoma in a rushed 15 minute visit! Fortunately I was told to do a follow up with Dr. Pham. She performed countless tests on me and got to the absolute best option to correct my vision. Her office has some state of the art medical equipment as well. Turned out the "developing glaucoma" diagnosis wasn't accurate. Whew! Dr. Pham is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and detailed. She does a great job explaining all the nuances of my particular diagnosis. She took the time to personally show me how insert and take care of my lenses. I have never been rushed during a visit and all my visits have started promptly. She even opened her office, came in and saw me on her day off once! Honestly she is just amazing. I remembered clearly calling my childhood best friend, Dr. Sang Pham of Eye Max Vision Source for help. She came down and examined me multiple times. She was the one who demanded more testings to be done. She pretty much put me at the top of her list to make sure I was getting the care I needed. She advocated for me until I received the proper care. After so many specialized dr visits, nothing worked. I finally went to my chiropractor and she was able to managed my migraines with medical massages every other week. This treatment was better than taking oral medication which caused me to sleep and wake up with a headache. Recently, I went in for my annual eye exam with Dr. Sang and she has introduced me to Neurolens. It's a quick eye exam. Apparently my eyes are misaligned and this maybe a huge factor why I am getting migraines. I have been wearing these special glasses that has contoured prism in the lens. It took about a week to adjust but now more than a month in--my headaches/migraines has reduced tremendously. Thank you for taking care of me! I highly recommend Dr. Sang!
