Our family--my husband, myself, and our two daughters--have been seeing Dr. Samina Sanwari for several years. Until now, we have always had positive experiences which makes this situation especially disappointing. A few days ago, my oldest daughter had an eye exam, and her prescription changed. We purchased a new pair of frames and lenses, and we also paid $299 to have the lenses updated in her current glasses. Shortly afterward, we received a call from the front office informing us that her existing frames had broken while the staff was replacing the lenses. We were then offered a $100 credit toward the purchase of new frames. Frankly, I was surprised that Innovision did not feel responsible for replacing the frames that were broken while in their care. We were told that because the frames were five years old, they broke during the lens replacement process and that the office cannot be held responsible they said, "this just happens sometimes." While we understand that older frames may carry some risk, those glasses were my daughter's favorite pair and originally cost $250. They were entrusted to be handled with care. We believe it is unreasonable for us to bear the loss when the damage occurred during that process. My husband explained that we were not interested in accepting the $100 credit and instead requested a refund of the $299 for the lenses along with replacing the frames they broke. They agreed to refund $299 for the lenses but declined replacing the broken frames. As a result, we are now left with neither the original frames nor the new lenses. After years of being loyal patients, we expected better customer service and accountability. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, because of how this situation has been handled, we have decided that our family will no longer be returning as patients Standing behind your work and taking responsibility when a customer's property is damaged goes a long way toward maintaining trust and goodwill. read more

Super cute office, pleeenty of parking. $125 eye exam because they don't accept my HMO. I'm visiting from out of state and had an extra mean eyelash stuck in my eye a couple days which irritated my eye really bad. I'm leaving tomorrow and didn't want to find out I had an eye infection in the middle of my road trip so i made an appointment and had a wonderful experience from the start. Thank God I don't have any infection, just bad irritation but I can travel knowing that I'm fine. Thanks for taking me last minute and reassuring me Dr. Samina! We made an appointment for my partner so he could get his contact and glasses prescription because they take our insurance. We've never experienced anything like this and based on that we won't be coming back. It's clear these people are in the business of making money and not helping folks with their vision or save money. All we needed from them was to complete the eye exam and to provide us with the prescription for both contacts and glasses. For context, we order our glasses from Zenni.com at fraction of the price that any retailer like this would offer. So we asked them to provide us with the Pupillary Distance of our prescriptions so we can order our glasses. When we asked them to provide this information, they refused to give it to us unless we were going to purchase glasses from them. Glasses that are not fashionable and cost hundreds of dollars. Just to give more context, we can order anywhere from 6-8 pairs of glasses from Zenni.com for under $200. If we ordered one pair of glasses from this place it would cost at minimum $200+. Secondly, they encouraged us to purchase a years worth of contacts through them at $580. That is crazy, we can order contacts through 1800 contacts for less then $400 for the year. I recommend anyone to go to MyEyeLab for your prescriptions . They don't force you to purchase their merchandise to obtain the information you need for your prescription. They will gladly give you your PD without trying to take money from you. Additionally, for anyone who doesn't know, please visits Zenni.com or Eyebuydirect.com for affordable fashionable glasses at a fraction of the cost. I hope that the owner of this business takes this feedback and applies it to provide a better experience to their customers. I'll be happy to update this review if they are willing to disclose all of the information regarding our prescription. Otherwise, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

EXCELLENT DR. AND STAFF! ~ THE BEST OPTION IN THIS AREA Dr. Sanwari dedicates a lot of her time listening and trying the best alternatives for an accurate prescription. Also, her staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience great (both ladies quite friendly and putting a lot of attention and care for clients). A family member visited another entity that is very near (Eye Max Vision) in Springreen Blvd and even though that Dr. is excellent, their staff was disrespectful and mean (not sure how they will survive in this area then they make fun of foreigners asking questions in broken English, they are supposed to be more tolerant, but our family is not coming back there). Dr. Sanwari and her staff, Evelia and Taylor, are absolutely amazing!!! They are all super kind, friendly and gentle spirited. Dr. Sanwari and Taylor were very patient in testing my toddler's eyes. Dr. Sanwari had age appropriate tools and entertainment to hold my son's attention. The snacks she has available also aided in making things go smoothly! Taylor even helped to push my infant around in the stroller so he wouldn't cry while I was with my toddler getting his eyes assessed. I've been to three different optometrists in the area but none compare to Dr. Sanwari and her team, who have provided us with the BEST service yet!
