It hadn't been tuned in at least two decades, so I wanted to go with someone I knew would do a thorough job. He charged a flat rate, which was a little pricier than the other quotes I received, but I still decided to go with him because he seemed knowledgeable and experienced. And I was right. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the end result. He vacuumed the inside of my piano, tuned it three times, and was finished within 90 minutes. I thought I'd leave a review today because of how impressed I was with his work after this months piano tuning visit. His trouble-shooting was spot on. We had a few drops of wax from candles we burned atop the piano over the holidays. He was able to hear the faint change in sound where the key felt had been damaged by the wax. It was nearly imperceptible to the eye until he dug deeper and found the drops of wax. He repaired all damages and completed the tuning.
