They have changed their front desk staff who seem to be much friendlier as well. Also, they now have an in-office therapy dog who is SO cute and always comes to greet when I am in the waiting room! Their dental hygienists (their past ones and current one) are always so friendly and kind, and you can tell they are very passionate about dental health and they are always happy to explain what they are doing and educate how to maintain dental health. And I am a huge baby so I appreciate that they always give me numbing cream to make me more comfortable! Going to the dentist is never fun, but I feel I am in good hands at Solana Family Dental!

Meaning, I felt NO PAIN and she had to numb me twice to get all the decay off a tooth that I was having the crown replaced on. He's not the 'salesy' dentist which seems to be predominant now. He gets on with it and I'm in and out of the office fast, every time. If he sees you are not interested in extra luxury work he won't push it on you. But the front office requires a lot of follow ups and does not explain the charges on your account up front. For example my cleaning and exam should have been fully covered as I have two dental insurances but not having explained the procedure I ended up having to pay out of pocket for an image that I am still not sure why I was charged for while my insurances cover cleaning and exam (2x exam/year with one and 1X exam/year with the other). I also have to send several follow ups to get an answer regarding my questions.

I was terrified to go in to see Dr. Korbar, since I've never had to have a root canal before. He quickly put me at ease. He numbed me up like you wouldn't believe, and he started the procedure. The worst part about the whole thing was seeing the instruments they use. I didn't feel any pain whatsoever, and I left there just as numb as when he started the procedure. Dr. Korbar and his staff are very professional, and the care I received was excellent. My dentist highly recommended their office, and said he had gone to them when he needed a root canal last year. His office scheduled me for a pre-implant appointment where I learned the implant might not provide significant functional or cosmetic improvements. While I initially questioned the need to do the grafting in the first place, Dr. Witcher explained that the graft was necessary implant or not. In hindsight, I am glad that the decision was mutually made not to proceed with the implant at this time and that Dr. Witcher was supportive of taking a conservative approach. I can't say enough good things about this dental office!…read more After chipping my front tooth late on a Saturday afternoon, I called about 20 dental offices searching for emergency care. Most were closed, a few took messages, but no one could see me - until this office called me back within 20 minutes. Not only did the dentist offer to stay late so I could drive an hour to get there, but the entire team - Crystal at the front desk and Kim who took my x-rays and assisted in the work - was incredibly warm, kind, and accommodating. They welcomed me in with genuine care and empathy when I was in a lot of pain and feeling panicked. The dentist had me looking good as new in no time and went above and beyond by performing a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the overall state of my teeth.
