I believe my first appointment was in October of 2021 and I insisted I needed surgery before the end of the year. I was having trouble seeing at night and my contact lens only went up to a -10 so I was not seeing very well with them. My eyeglasses were so uncomfortable due to their thickness but I could see much better out of them. But, they were no where near a -14 so I had some vision loss using them too. Dr. Kardasis was so organized and thorough that he had my new lens in before Thanksgiving. So, I have gone from a prescription of -14 to perfect vision. There is no better feeling than waking up and being able to see - no more fumbling around looking for my eyeglasses. I am not wearing any eyeglasses or contact lens now. It is like a miracle! The entire procedure was a breeze. Just remember to use the drops he gives you and everything will be fine. I LOVE Dr. Kardasis and the wonderful gift of sight he has given me. I will be forever thankful!

I went to see Dr Hashmi at the recommendation of my optometrist because of a potential serious eye…read moreissue. I spent 25 years in the optical industry so I know a good doctor when I meet one. The staff was not very friendly when I went to check in at the desk, I was made to wait 15 minutes, which for an ophthalmologist office that should be expected. But the technician that took me back for the pretesting was cold, impersonal, and with some of the testing that he did I did not feel very comfortable with the procedures that he used. There is a specialized test called a visual field that needs to be done for the type of issue that I was going in for. It is a specialized machine, he did this lame unprofessional type of test with his finger. The type that your physician does when they are doing a yearly physical on you just to check how your eyes react. When I specifically asked him if they were putting me in the machine to test me he said that he was not going to do a standard visual field test, he said they do not find it that's necessary. It did not give me a very good feeling at that point. When Dr Hashmi came in she flew in like she was in a rush, she introduced herself, when I told her that I was in the field and that she could be blunt with me and explain everything in normal terms and not have to explain it as though I was person did not know anything about the human eye or anything in that industry, she ignored it. When the technician initially did what is called a Goldman tonometry test which checks for glaucoma or rather pressures in the eye that could show up a possible diagnosis of glaucoma, he came up with a high number, when the doctor did the exact same test she came up with a number that was six points lower. The time between the two tests was 10 to 15 minutes. Her result was absolutely nowhere near what both the initial result from my optometrist was and from what the technician got. She had a six-point different result. With glaucoma you do not have a six-point drop in a 15 minute period from the previous test. The doctor spent approximately 7 minutes with me. I did not feel comfortable with her diagnosis when she stated that I was fine and didn't need to worry about anything. At that point I decided that I was going to go for a second opinion, the next practice that I went to was concise, thorough, and the doctor spent almost an hour with me versus 7 minutes. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this office. I also found out after the fact from someone who has worked with this practice that they appear to be "on the shady side". I honestly wish that I had heard that prior to going to this particular practice. I never would have gone.

It felt as if I was cross-eyed, it did not clear up for some time. That scared the ba-gee-b out of me !!! Could not drive. Long story - short - the office gave me an appt slot. Dr 'Z' is great, I have waited long periods of time for crummy doctors. I waited here, ran tests on my eyes, etc which took 3 hours. He is very thorough, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!" --- even for a good doctor with a long wait. That didn't sway me. ( thought maybe a mini-stroke, he talked with me AND HE called my heart doctor )

1 or 2? 3 or 4?…read more Going to the eye doctor is usually a pain, but I've been going to Avenue Eyecare for the past few years. They were a mile down the road from my office and took my insurance. What more could you ask for? It has been relatively easy to setup an appointment that was convenient to me versus setting one up 2 months in the vague future. Dr. Wilkemeyer is friendly and helpful. The office has a new machine that takes a picture of your retina. I find these are great conversation starters for my dates. "Would you like to see my retinas?" Their frame selection is pretty expansive and Colleen is super helpful in giving you style advice. My contact orders have always come back quickly. I fell while rollerblading late March on a Monday afternoon and broke my dominant wrist. While that…read morewas unlucky, I was incredibly lucky with my treatment. I fell a couple of blocks from home, had to skate home, then my husband drove us here. Luckily we already knew about this place. I got in to Premier Urgent care right away, got an X-Ray right away, was taken over to the other side of the building to CCSMO right away, saw Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Robert Coats right away, he did more X-Rays right away, reset my wrist, scanned the wrist again, determined it did not need surgery, and put the cast on, did more scans to make sure the cast was perfect. I fell just before 2pm on Monday and was treated and home with my cast just before 4pm. Less than 2 hours for repairing a broken bone! I was incredibly impressed. As if that wasn't enough, everyone was so kind and helpful. All of the doctors, nurses, X-Ray technician, the other staff, really everyone is wonderful. I have had multiple checkups with Dr.Coats, all have gone well. I am in Occupational Therapy with Brian 2-3 a week. Everyone in the Physical Therapy part is so friendly and helpful. You can tell they all care about helping their patients. I am blown away by how much Brian knows! He's been doing this for ~20 years!

Got to the office and was told that the doctor was running an hour behind.  I didn't actual see the doctor for 4 1/2 hours later. Multiple people in the office had been waiting a similar length.  I know because people were complaining about the wait.  The doctor himself was not the issue just the rest of the office. I was told the reason for the time delay was that multiple doctors were sharing two room. I don't know how that was an acceptable excuse given that there was not a surprise number of doctors and rooms at the location. The location is also a bit run down as well. I'm posting this so people know before committing to the office.  Its easier to never go to the office versus switching.  I ended up accepting the lost and just spent more money switching doctors. I know everyone can't afford to do that.
