I am in constant significant back pain with a herniated disc, and I was referred to Dr. Vermuri to get an epidural injection ASAP. Meeting with Dr. Vermuri went fine and he said to schedule an epidural with his staff. I was told by his staff when checking out that I would hear back from the scheduling person within one to two days. After three days I called to find out when my epidural was scheduled for since I had not heard anything. I was told by someone named Amy that it is typically a week or more before an appointment can even be scheduled, and that they were currently running three weeks out AFTER you were scheduled. When I asked why in the world it takes a week to even get a procedure scheduled, I was told "the only person that schedules epidurals is Heidi, and she can take a week or more to schedule a procedure since she multitasks like the rest of us and has many other duties beside scheduling." So, I am in constant stabbing pain and at the mercy of a single multitasking "when she can get around to it" scheduler to even get on the books. That is one star. Appalling.

He diagnosed the problem, told me that due to the severity the only option was surgery, and finished with the successful pain relieving surgery. Fast forward, I'm not sure how many years since that surgery and no pain but several months ago I wondered if it was coming back. In this modern era I researched on the internet and found carpal tunnel syndrome can reoccur. I convinced myself this was the problem and finally got around to scheduling an appointment with Dr. Blackburn. Today I went for that appointment and was once again impressed with Dr. Blackburn's professionalism, his examination , the x-rays to confirm his diagnosis, and the treatment. Great news it was not carpal tunnel, did not need surgery, and was treated with the fitting of a hard wrist brace. I'll go for a recheck in 6 weeks but I can tell there was Instant relief from the pain the minute the wrist brace was fitted. Thanks again Dr. Blackburn! You are Woohoo, as good as it gets.

HORRIBLE OFFICE/ Let…read moreme start off by saying I personally worked with some of the physicians in this office and I do think they are top notch. My personal experience was horrible, I was attempting to make an appointment for my 12 yr old son after we were hit by a driver who ran a red light. My son was immediately taken to the ER and dx with a broken hand on 5/18, we were told to get him into Louisville arm & hand as soon as possible. On 5/20 (Monday) we called to make the appt and was told we can not without the proper claim information . We promptly got that and called the office back with that info. The first person we spoke to stated the insurance company would have to call. We asked for the number they need to call and were told the lady who takes care of this does not recieve Incoming calls because she was too busy. We asked if we could provide the number to call and was then told that she does not place outgoing calls either. Some one please explain how someone dealing with insurance does not place or receive calls?!? We contacted insurance desperately because my son is in pain and plays sports and we need to know what is happening with his hand. As a RN myself I was afraid it was healing improperly during the time we were waiting. So our insurance company called the office. By 5 PM that day, I got a call asking if I still want my son to be seen?!? I said of course his hand is broken. The female stated she would need the insurance information. I explained this had been provided 3 times now and she said, " oh yea, I see that in the chart. I will have someone call you tomorrow to schedule." 5/21: By 1 PM we had no call to schedule so I reached out. An extremely rude woman said she could not help because it shows the insurance was in there but not confirmed. I explained I got a call last night saying it was confirmed. She said " welp, I can't do anything because there is no note in the chart" I asked to be scheduled as a self pay and she said " we can not and will not schedule your son as it is a motor vehicle accident and we need to claim to be confirmed" I explained he was in pain, he is young and plays sports and she said " this is not my fault and I can't do anything" she said she could send a note back to the woman who takes care of this but that is all as that individual does not accept incoming calls" I called Louisville Ortho immediately and was able to schedule my son for a visit on 5/22 with no issues. It is 5/22 at 9:30 AM and I have yet to hear from Norton Louisville Arm and Hand. Absolutely unacceptable service and response time. Extremely rude and unknowledgeable office staff. Will never send anyone there for any sort of treatment.

I finished the last one yesterday morning and have had zero pain after these strenuous hikes. My longest was 3 miles. I couldn't not have done this without Dr Clegg and his wonderful team. He also gave me pre-surgery exercises and post surgical exercises that are a must for success. I am now on a kneeling program which is going great and plan on paddle boarding by next weekend. I am so very thankful my friend referred me to Dr Clegg. Anyone who complains about their knee pain I tell them of Dr Clegg and what a phenomenal experience I had. I had a partial knee replacement done 7 years ago by another doctor and it popped out of place constantly and I just thought I would have to live with it the rest of my life. About a year ago I had pretty extensive damage to my finger and from my first visit I knew I had made a good choice. Dr. Nicoson was able to explain everything to me concisely and laid out realistic expectations. Workman's comp was giving me problems authorizing the surgery but the front desk staff sorted it out and kept me in the loop the entire time. In fact every time I've needed to communicate something with the staff it blows my mind every time how fast they get back with me. They have a physical therapist in the office as well who is amazing! I was in there three days a week for PT for several months and from right off the bat I felt like part of a family in that office. By the third visit they were calling my wife by her nick-name! I did multiple tours overseas for the United States military which I have had so many reconstructive surgeries and also a work related incident that I fell over 30 feet and had to have yet another surgery I received a dismissal letter when I returned from out of state for work stating he's not going to help me and I am not a patient anymore I did not receive a phone call. I did not receive any type of text no email no verbal warning no written warning no counseling nothing I notified his office of my absence for work due to the severe weather like tornadoes, flooding that we had in the months of march and April I even spoke with him in person when I saw him at my last appointment passing in the hallway and lamborn replied, just notify the office and you will be fine I have spoke with other patients in the waiting room and they have missed upwards of 5 to 6 random drug appointments and still are patience I have talked to people that have failed multiple drug tests and still are patient He is still treating.
