They take the time to get to know you and your child. You're not just another paying customer like the last dance studio that we attended. They offer outdoor and Zoom classes. I attended a free open house and expected not to like it (for previously mentioned reasons). However, I was surprised at how comfortable and welcome I felt. The instructors were straight forward, yet friendly and approachable. They were thorough in their explanation and demonstration of the basics, and were very willing to answer questions. If you are expecting the instructor to break down every single move repeatedly just for one person and watch and correct your every step, join a private lesson. Keep in mind, you are not the only student, and while repetition is key, you cannot expect to do enough repetition in one hour of instruction. Anyhow, although the first class was definitely a struggle, for the first time ever, I felt that perhaps I could actually learn and become more comfortable on the dance floor. Overall, my experience has been great. As a matter of fact, only 6 weeks in and with no prior dance experience, I decided to join a performance team, and have felt more confidence and seen more improvement then I ever have. I went from taking just bachata, to now trying salsa, burlesque, and hip hop. I recommend and invite everyone to try it for yourself!
