Life is all about balance, right? Lol. I got the Pêche et Fraise (Peach and Strawberry) which is a jelly doughnut covered in powdered sugar. Doughnuts are $4.50 each. My husband got the Tour de Chapeau (which translates to Hat Trick) which is a yeast doughnut with chocolate glaze, covered with chocolate crumbs and drizzled with white chocolate. It is not a filled doughnut. We shared both doughnuts. I always prefer filled doughnuts, but I was a bit disappointed with the filling of my doughnut. It tasted like pureed peaches and strawberries true to its name, but the texture was like applesauce which wasn't yummy, at least in my opinion. I would have preferred either more of a jelly texture or a peach and strawberry-flavoured custard. So surprisingly, I enjoyed my husband's doughnut more. The Tour de Chapeau was so fluffy and soft. The chocolate toppings were sweet and decadent. The crumbs gave it a nice subtle crunch. Service was courteous. There was only one person working and customers before me ordered specialty drinks so the wait was a bit long. They also sell ice cream, in addition to doughnuts, cookies, sandwiches and coffee/tea.
