The staff were friendly and the owner is a soft spoken gentleman who keeps an eye of plates coming out to be served. He is a sushi chef himself from what I've learned and he takes pride with his day to day operation in this wonderful mighty small establishment. If you still have space in your tummy (it will be difficult, but you should try to save space), order the Avocado ice cream and Banana. The pairing of these two is just amazing! Walking into Ganjou, it's a little bit cramped, but the ambience isn't bad. There's nothing exceedingly incredible about the environment, but the place doesn't look half bad. Ganjou offers a solid assortment of sushi and rice bowls, much like other Japanese restaurants. They also have pretty good (and cheap!) tempura, which is probably the most sulit thing on the menu in my opinion. For the rice bowls, try the Gyudon and mix the egg yolk in well as it tastes well mixed in the rice. Ganjou's not gonna be winning any awards for its cuisine any time soon, but it's overall a solid offering if you want affordable, decent Japanese food.

A friend and I had lunch last week at Sambokojin Libis, and the tempura station is always adequately supplied. And you don't have to fight tooth and nail for your fill of shrimp. The tempura is really good, as is Sambo's galbi jjim (Korean beef rib stew). There are a number of fish and tofu dishes that were excellent as well. My only complaint would have to be diners that don't know how to work a grill. The grills at Sambo are not smokeless, so it is a tad bit annoying to be seated next to people that are burning their meat and tuna.
