Epic Japanese (Asian?) AYCE place close to Highway 97. Parking is plentiful in the attached lot. The place is nice and large and modern. Nice high ceilings. Staff are a bit stretched out, but they did the best they could. The staff that served my buddy and me spoke Chinese instead of Japanese, but oh well. Good enough. The selection here is unusually large and beautiful, even by Vancouver standards. Special mention. There are many sashimi options (with no limit), and dozens of types of rolls and nigiri and cones. Then there are the cooked and BBQ items, as well as dim sum. See photos. They speak for themselves. Everything tasted fresh. Buddy and I were ready to explode by the time we left. Seems like nothing has changed from the last time I was here. Food still as good as I remembered. Also if you let them know you write review, they will give free pop. Prices are cheaper than Vancouver for sure. No time limited on the dinner and best of all it is real unlimited. Food was great! I'm absolutely in love with the Cheese Wontons. I probably won't order the Deep Fried Milk again LOL, not my jam, not that it wasn't good. Service is quick, food is fresh and I dig ordering on an iPad. The Server explained how to order very thoroughly. The restaurant was clean, the music wasn't loud so it was great to be able to converse. We left full and happy! And how cute is the presentation?! read more

I would give them 0 stars If I could. Took my daughter here before her gymnastics competition and it was already pricy but when she was served a muscle with a dead crab that looked like a shriveled up tarantula underneath the muscle we were utterly disgusted and immediately lost our appetite. We sent back the food and asked for our bill and the manager literally argued with me when I asked for a reduced bill since we couldn't finished our food and both felt nauseous after the incident and the manager argued with me saying it's normal in muscles for that to happen so we didn't get a discount. I have been eating muscles for over 20 years and NEVER have I ate one and spit out a curled up tarantula looking crab. The only reason this place has high reviews is because they give you free stuff for a 5 star review (it says right on their table) this place is disgusting and I will be referring them to interior health because they absolutely need an inspection before they make some one seriously ill read more

Service was fast and great. The waiter always had a great demeanor. There is an all you can eat option with 150 items you can choose from. No time limit or restrictions (which is rare these days) Drinks are a separate charge, and they have some unlimited refillable drink options, like tea and pop. All the food came very well plated, and the taste was good. At first glance, this restaurant appears to fit its $38/person buffet price tag. It is a beautiful restaurant with elegant design and decor and a great buffet a la carte menu, which you order using an iPad. Service is quick and although they missed 1 item we ordered, the speed of delivery was excellent. However, the lack of flavour was an extreme disappointment for the price tag. First, the shrimp and pork shu mai may look pretty but it is nothing but shrimp paste and pork paste with no spices or flavour whatsoever. The restaurant needs to dump it off the menu and stick to Japanese food. It was so awful, we didn't touch the dish after the first bite. The rest of the items were watery, mild, or flavourless. The only exceptional items of note was the super thinly cut peppery steak (max order 1/person, the pink lady sushi roll, the green dragon roll, the mango ice cream, and the tea. Overall, probably the worst flavour experience I've had in any sushi restaurant in my life and that is not said lightly as I've visited a lot of sushi restaurants in 30+ years all over the world. This restaurant needs to kick it up a notch in the flavour department, as you would find more flavour in a food court. Unfortunately I would not recommend. read more

We went there on this Valentine's day without a reservation, and the wait was more than 30 minutes, which was understandable and expected. The food was ok. But the service was HORRIBLE. The waiter greeted us at the beginning, after that he totally disappeared, even when we were calling him, he ignored us several times. Another waitress refused us food 1 hour prior to the store closing and took the ordering tab from our table. They also mixed up our order several times. We were getting food which we never ordered, or ordered an hour back. There was one order which says 20 minutes prep time, but it came to our table 1 hours late. Another thing that threw us off was the portion size. Although the pictures were showing 4 pieces of something, but only 1/2 pieces were actually served, and the sizes are very small as well. So don't be deceived by the pictures, the reality is a different story. Although it was a buffet, but we left he place hungry, and frustrated. I do not recommend this place at all. Bad service. The waitress was instructed by the manager to tell us not to order too much otherwise we had to pay extra in a very bad manner. We had a party of six and pretty much just ordered 2 pieces of 6 different kind of sushi when it is a all you can eat setting. Do not come here! Our party of 3 came from Vancouver to visit a friend. We got seated right away. We were given 2 iPad when the server found out that there is only one of us who will do the all-you-can eat. We didn't wait that long for the food to be served, which is a good thing. But the server was hovering around because they were strict with NO SHARING when it comes to the all you can eat items. The food were terrible. The siu mai is kinda raw. My husband did not eat the rest of it. Its like the once you buy at the grocery frozen. the server picked up the empty small plates without even saying 'excuse me' or "are you done?" There was another item that my husband ordered scallops and it was hard as a rock. Having our waiter 'Jack' throw an open container of food onto the table right in front of one of the guests at out table ... unacceptable behaviour. He is loud and very unprofessional. Despite an efficient iPad menu ordering system only the 2 simplest items out of 5 ordered was satisfactory. A salmon sushi wasn't fresh, an attractive $8 mango salad from the menu arrived as nothing but a sliced mango with syrup, and a chicken teriyaki sushi never arrived even after asking 2 waiters over 50 minutes. The first shrugged off the delay and the second said it takes a while to cook. After admitting the salad was a mistake, rather than replace it, he asked ' so you don't want to pay for it? '. We gave up, cancelled the items, and left. French fries from MacDonalfs next door are highly recommended. read more

We went at lunch on a Friday and there were only a few tables of people. Server was polite and the food came quickly, but the quality was poor. I was really disappointed. The rolls were mostly rice and the sashimi was thin and very small portions. You are left to wonder where the fish went! I love it! Ordering is easy and the food arrives quickly. The selection is good and I've never had a bad order. They're also willing to give some suggestions if you're fairly new to the raw sushi menu. It is a bit noisy but any open concept kitchen/restaurant has that, it wasn't anything over the top. We probably just noticed it because it was SO busy. Normally we do the AYCE menu but tonight we ordered take out and the wait time was minimal (20 mins) and everything was prepared perfectly. Came back a couple years later and the food is completely different. I ordered alaska rolls and it was like 99% rice and cucumber with the smallest slivers of salmon. The rice felt dry and old, the chicken rolls had dried out chewy chicken, the dynamite rolls was literally just cucumber. I get that it's all you can eat so you don't want everyone eating the expensive stuff. but damn man, for 30$ you could at least give me some fillings in my sushi. read more

We came here on the last night of our trip. We ordered from an iPad and the servers brought us the food. Excellent during Covid. They had an excellent selection of Japanese items. They had traditional sushi and gourmet rolls as well. The pad Thai that came looked nothing like the picture but everything was delicious. The coconut shrimp was a pleasant surprise and the cotton candy ice cream was my favourite. There were flies at our table. It wasn't a big of a deal. The food was good though, but the dishes weer served in unlogical order. The desserts were a real disappointment. Not more then a shooterglass full of 'something'. The restaurant can be/become good, but therefore it needs more focus on logistics and a more natural friendly service. No need acting hyper-populair. Absolutely atrocious service, and when I complained I was argued with and when I called back the next day to ask for a manager I was told they were too busy and hung up on. The servers went table to table clearing plates without sanitizing in between, no contact tracing was done, and the bathrooms smelled like urine. We were seated at a table for 4 at the end of the sushi bar across from the kitchen. All was well we were in our third round on the iPad. When my eye catches something almost like someone dropped something like a can a small tennis ball. To my surprise, I look to see a mouse or rat. I am no pro but I know a rodent when I see one. We did not make a scene spoke to Aaron told him what we saw he waived our bill and we left. Sadly, we are in from Brentwood, California we were told this place is unique clean decent food. I love Coming here, the sushi and the complete menu is actually very good, people here buffet and think not good but this is all a la cart which is prepared fresh not in warming trays. Great value for quality and staff are very relaxed and great atmosphere and cozy music, 9/10. And get some entertainment from the a server named Jack I will keep returning for sure read more
