I stopped by Tokyo ToGo looking for a quick lunch option. I decided to go with a poke bowl and was able to get an order with three scoops of protein for about $14. When I arrived there were no other customers, but by the time I left, there was a line of five or six people waiting to order. I got my bowl served over brown rice, I got two scoops of Aji and one scoop of spicy tuna. I topped that with seaweed salad, cucumber, carrot, jalapeños, Masago, dried onion, and sesame. On top of all that I had them add Ponzu sauce, poke sauce, and spicy mayo. I took my order to go and by the time I got home and sat down to eat everything still tasted fresh. Compared to other poke places this seemed like a good price. The scoops/servings of fish seemed fair in size for the price. I will definitely return for lunch, but next time I will add a little more heat with spicier sauces. read more

Don't order the bogo/happy hour sushi/Shani deal. It's a scam Ordered the Sashimi Only (24 pcs) bogo happy hour deal and was very disappointed when it arrive. They give give you 48 pieces but it's basically the 24 pieces cut up in half . Each piece was tiny. Ended up giving only 14oz total fish (I weighed it) and for $43 that's a rip off. I've been here a few times and the food is pretty good. I do think the portion size is a bit smaller than other places, but the fish is fresh. I don't know what it is but they over do it on the sauce. This guy basically poured a ton of spicy mayo on my bowl. I had to use napkins to wipe some sauce off. My boyfriend and I spent almost $50 here and felt completely ripped off. We paid $21.99 for a 3 scoop bowl (salmon, tuna, and imitation crab), and almost $27 for a 4 scoop bowl. The portions are a joke. A single scoop of fish is just 3 tiny pieces of sashimi. Its more like one standard slice of sashimi cut into three pieces. They count imitation crabmeat and avocado as full protein scoops. Most poke places count crabmeat as a topping and have an up charge for avocado. They give you a good amount of imitation crab and avocado, so the ratio is completely off. After a few bites the sashimi is gone and you're just eating a massive bowl of plain rice, avocado, imitation crab and toppings. If you want actual sashimi, you're better off going to sushi restaurant and ordering a chirashi bowl with more sashimi for the same price and if you want real poke, I recommend going elsewhere read more

I'm in between on this place. It's very busy and the food is good but get the wrong person and your service might be slow and wrong with a dash of bluntness. I love the bowls and the combinations you can make, but on the downside the boba reflected the cost. Great place for a lunch but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for this place. read more

I tend to enjoy places where I get to customize the ingredients because I'm getting exactly and only the things I want, so I know I'll like it. There are also premade dishes to choose from, but we chose to make our own. There are a variety of sizes, but I chose the biggest one, the super bowl, so that we could have leftovers. That one has 5 scoops of rice, which means you can also choose 5 different proteins, and if you only want 2, like I did, they will multiply what you chose to make it 5, like I ended up getting 3 scoops of tofu and 2 scoops of avocado. There are so many sauces and ingredients to choose from, so before we even got to the cashier we stood off to the side and I wrote down on a piece of paper what we wanted and just handed it to them, although they did have a bit of trouble reading my writing. It was only when we were about to leave that I saw a wall that was alphabetized with sheets of paper of people's preferences, maybe for when they come back and want the same thing? When we were there, there weren't any blank forms available, so I just used a piece of paper I already had in my bag. Or you can do what another customer did and just walk in and tell them what you want. I just wanted to be more efficient and have everything already picked out by the time we got to the cashier. Poke selection for the bowls was good and tasted fresh. Price for bowls was very reasonable. I got Tokyo bowl (3scoops) and it was 12.99. Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to deciding on sauces. The restaurant appeared clean and there was no fish odor. I will be back for more healthy sushi and poke bowls. read more

Service is always solid and this is a great local Business to support. ***EDIT*** I read the other reviews and anyone telling you it's expensive needs to get their head examined. It's not their fault the cost of Bluefin Tuna, Hamachi, Salmon, etc has gone up by 30% in cost. All restaurant prices have gone up. A McDonalds burger is like $10 now... so of course, $12 for a specialty sushi roll, or $18 for a 5 serving poke bowl is still a fair price. Poki bowl from the new Tokyo To Go (same ownership as Poki Town from what the employee said). The food is good quality, only reason it is not receiving 1 star. The portion sizes are ridiculous though! I'm all for paying for good food, but can it at least fill my tummy. The piece of salmon you see, times it by 3 and that's what you will be getting as 1 of your protein options. A cookie scoop size of a spicy tuna as your second, and an ice cream scoop size of crab meat as your 3rd (for the 3 scoops bowl). I've never seen a poki place use crab meat as a portion option. What makes me even more speechless is the portion sizing of the proteins. I personally do not think the price is worth the meal being received, but I'm just here to share my opinion. I hadn't been here since it was Poke Town, but after trying it today, I'm happy to say, they had friendly staff, good food, and killer prices. The fact that I can get two large, tasty meals for myself for under thirty bucks is practically unheard of these days. This is our go to for poke. The poke bowls are always great and a good value for the price. They recently changed their name and added chicken and beef bowls. They no longer have their big California rolls. I think they got rid of their sushi burrito which was a sloppy mess anyway. But their sushi is still good. Staff is nice and friendly read more

If it weren't for the staff overall, I'd give this place 5 stars, but it's only getting 4.That being said, Piper is hands down the best employee ever. I have been going to Poke Town since it opened and it quickly became my favorite place. I was hoping that the transition to Tokyo To Go would be a good one. Although there have been changes to some of the poke bowls I loved, I have been impressed by the new additions. I am not crazy about the hot bowls, they are okay but not awesome. The Black pepper salmon and seared scallop sashimi are really, really good. I am now going back primarily to get sashimi and I usually get a Try-It bowl as a side to share. I miss the staff who used to be there but the new staff is catching on and they are just as friendly as before. I haven't been able to figure out if this is new ownership from the original as I have received different explanations. In any case, it is definitely worth visiting. read more
