We bought so much food here that we literally had a feast and had to take a lot home. First of all, I'm vegetarian, so when I find a restaurant with vegetarian options, I want to try as much of it as I can. I ended up ordering spicy edamame, vegetable egg rolls, veggie rolls, tempura veggie rolls, and vegetable yakisoba. My sister, who's a meat eater, ordered calamari, California rolls, beef fried rice, beef yakisoba, and a new Korean bbq dish that wasn't on the regular menu, but there was a picture of it on the wall by our table. In addition, we each also got a bowl of miso soup and a small salad that came free of charge with our meal, which I appreciate since sushi rolls by themselves don't really fill me up. Everything tasted good and was filling and even now after eating some of the leftovers, it all still tastes good. The place itself is nicely decorated with a bunch of police patches behind the counter while on the walls there's Japanese artwork. The only hiccups I had was when I first came in I immediately asked for 2 waters. I got a nonverbal "Mm-hmm," so I repeated it again and got the same response, but a little more annoyed. Maybe it's a cultural thing where I was expecting an actual "Yes" and in Japan it's just a noise of acknowledgement, but once I started ordering so much food the waitress was much nicer to us. The 2nd was when we had to wait for the last dish to come out when we were already packed and ready to leave, but that was more on us since we added the Korean bbq last minute. The last has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but the plaza it's in. If you're unfamiliar with it, I'll tell you right now that the parking situation is a nightmare! Basically, the parking lot is a long narrow stretch sandwiched in-between with the various restaurants and shops on one side, and the main street on the other side, so what ends up happening is all the good spots right next to the place you want to go to get filled up fast and you have to try and make a U-turn and find parking far away. Meanwhile, a bunch of other cars are trying to do the same thing while other cars are trying to come in off the street. It's horrible! It's an accident waiting to happen! I hate this plaza and whoever designed it! Anyway, if you're willing to put up with the parking situation, the restaurant and food are good enough for you to forget about it until you're trying to leave. read more

Mrs. Yelper got Popcorn Shrimp roll: in: crabmeat, avocado on top and inside deep fried shrimp, eel sauce, masago, spicy mayo, green onion. She devoured it. The service was really top notch. We split a meal 3 ways on 3 different credit cards and our server handled it easily. She also offered wasabi and ginger when I asked for a to go box. When one of my companions didn't know how to use chopsticks, she gave her the chopstick helper to help her use them and also offered a fork. Everything I had was tasty. The food presentation was a work of art! The service was great, albeit there was no one there; so didn't have a real opportunity to challenge the service. The staff were all very cheerful and helpful. Nice little tables outside if you want to enjoy fresh air, instead of eating inside. Prices are very reasonable. The happy hour pricing (which I wasn't able to take advantage of), is unseen. Parking is no problem--it's located in a strip mall with parking right in front of the restaurant. I had to get my nails done and wanted to try the sushi at this location. Needless to say, this is my NEW favorite sushi local spot !!!!!! The service was excellent. The lady taking my order was super sweet and made sure that my green tea had some honey alongside it. The rice they use for the California roll is really good. I had also gotten the cucumber maki roll and Alaskan roll. I was not at all disappointed. I was extremely surprised and shocked by how CHEAP the prices here are! This is definitely the most affordable sushi place I've been too! The sushi quality was TOP NOTCH! This is by far some of the best sushi I've had for such an AMAZING price! Their rolls are quite filling as well! The rolls had an extreme robust taste and were absolutely fresh! The Maui roll had a strong pineapple flavor sauce that paired amazingly with the dish. All four rolls that I ordered were equivalently delicious to be honest. They served their sushi with purple rice which was a first for me, but it was so GOOOOOOOOD and I'm honestly confused as to why other sushi spots don't do this. (Small fact: purple rice they serve with the sushi is actually so healthy and higher in protein than regular white sushi rice :D) I will definitely be coming back here! read more

Service was fast and tends to every need that is requested. It's not a big dinning area but plenty enough so just be aware with the time you plan to eat here. My colleague recommended that I try out this place. And since I always look for a new sushi place to try, I go for it! The restaurant is truly a hidden gem, as other diners suggested. The atmosphere is more intimate due to the size of this restaurant. Thus, it conflicted me that I didn't want to rate the place so high because it would attract people to come and cause a long wait in the future--however, credit where credit's due. Their rolls are made using purple rice, which holds much higher antioxidants than regular white sushi rice. I didn't feel guilty as much while eating them here. This restaurant knows how to stand out and separate itself from its competitors. The rolls are delicious and at a decent size. Even the staff here were very attentive, and several of them checked on us at different time intervals making sure that we enjoyed our experience and made sure our water cups were always filled. Ate here on a whim when the place we were going to nearby had too long a wait and came away satisfied. We ended up ordering four different rolls along with a couple pieces of salmon nigiri. The fish was a nice quality, fresh and the rolls were unique while packing a good amount of flavor. Wasn't a huge fan of the purple-tinted rice they use for their rolls (kinda unappetizing) and the Death Valley roll they set on fire table side definitely had a bit of an odd flavor on it from the fire. Regardless, the other three rolls were quite delicious if not a bit on the saltier side. Service was friendly. It's a small place without a ton of tables and there was a decent sized wait when we left on a Saturday evening so I suggest calling ahead to see if there's a long wait time. Perfect date for my girlfriend and I! The sushi quality was amazing and the staff was super friendly. The sashimi salad was super refreshing and had a good quantity of fish. The Mango! Mango! roll is an amazing option if you want a sushi roll that's on the sweeter side. The chef made us Philadelphia hand rolls on request.
